The crane

Ok, I've heard the crane is up behind the castle for the Christmas Lights. I'm kind of bummed since the fact we are staying in a 1 bedroom Magic Kingdom view. Anyone know how long the crane is up? I wish I would have known this. This is our first trip to our home resort so we wanted to treat ourselves to a view we probably won't normally be getting because of our amount of points. Now I feel like I have wasted 40-50 points. :-(

Most likely you won't hardly notice. At night it's unlikely you would see it and really the castle is quite a distance away so you may not even see it well during the day.

This was the view from my MK Studio that is giving just a little wider perspective than the eye would see it. Granted this was a low floor MK view and it may be more visible from a higher floor but a crane would not have been a big distraction.

Oh ok. I saw a picture on the photography board of the crane from BLT and it looked VERY visible I guess they had it VERY zoomed in. I didn't think of that. Thanks TWO DAYS!!!!

We had a MK view last August and a crane was in place for the whole of our 4 day stay. We didn't notice it too much; it seemed to be at the rear of the castle. Also, not sure if I was dreaming it or not but it disappeared and reappeared during our stay

The castle itself won't be much bigger than a dot to you so I wouldn't worry about seeing a crane. Unless you're using binoculars, that is.
