Okay, I've decided to bring two pairs of shoes for each of us I guess to WDW for when it's pouring rain, pull out the croc type shoes. Any suggestions on where to find some "immitations" for about half the cost. Suggestion on wearing socks with them?

Payless had Airwalks last year, and I got my daughter (~2 yrs) some knock offs at Toys R Us for around $10. HOWEVER-I can say that the knock offs are not as comfy as the real deal. The Airwalks just didnt feel as cushy and soft, and the ones for dd were rougher, causing blisters on her toes.

so I guess paying out for the real deal would be better? aaagghhh all this shopping!!! lol

any suggestions on places I can buy some at locally? leaving in 2 weeks for WDW and don't want to purchase anything else online in case there is a delay.

I've checked famous footwear and kohls, not sure those are crocs, but they were almost 30 dollars.

The local dillards supposedly carries them. Might hop there tomorrow to try on a pair. I'm not thrilled with 30 bucks a pair..have to buy 5 pairs!!! I will have to rethink that one...

Dillard's, Sports Authority, and Hallmark have them (Dillard's had largest selection around here).

I bought my son some at Target last year. He did not complain about the, but they only lasted for the summer.(but he is tough on shoes) Maybe you could buy real Crocs for yourself and knock off for the kids??? My sis-in-law bought knock offs at Target and Payless and she loved them. I guess it depends on the person, and your foot.

i bought a pair of these from payless last year and wore them at dw. they were good for me. i spent the $$ for crocs this year and wore them at home before our trip. i didn't like them. the insides were too rough for my feet. i bought another pair of airwalks about two weeks before our trip and wore them at home some to break them in. wore them for 7 days on our trip last week and loved them. i just can't tell the difference in the feel of the shoes. also, my last years shoes are still good, i just wanted another color. my dh does say that they are the ugliest shoes he's ever seen, but he got over my wearing them in public.;)

i agree with your dh, i think they are very ugly. i will try some at payless...i don't have too sensitive of feet and figure they are just to wear during the rain to avoid soaken sneakers, prefer skechers to walk all day in...i think i'll get the knock offs for the kids as they will be riding in the double rentals for the most part anyway...to be young again!

Check the Crocs website for local retailers who carry Crocs. That should save you some time.

I have purchased a couple of pair for $7.82 at Wal-mart. I have worn them everywhere and have had no problems. I usually have a hard time finding shoes to fit right!

i tried a pair on at payless, they feel like stryofoam (sp) or something, nothing like plastic or anything...like walking on those packing peanuts...i am going to get some for the kids at payless for 12 bucks.

I ordered some at Lands ENd because they had my size. I can't remember how much they were, but at least they have quality guarantees. If they fall apart, you can return them.
