**fraud alert**battleground states

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The PUMA's are putting this out.

Election officials, election watch groups, and Republicans:

GUARD voter registration, absentee ballot voting, and ALL other voting practices in battleground states.

If ACORN is there, watch them.

*Breaking* - ACORN has been caught in the battleground state of Michigan.

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

Two People Have Bombed The Pentagon - At Least One Is A Friend of Obama.

One is Bill Ayers, the friend of Democrat Presidential hopeful, Barack Hussein Obama.

The other is 9/11 Terrorist, Osama bin Laden.

How can you be friends with one and despise the other, when they both committed the same act?

Q: What is the difference between Bill Ayres and Osama bin Laden, you might ask?

A: Body Count!

I watched carefully on 9-11 when McCain and Obama made the decent to ground zero, and then more importantly making the trek back up. McCain kept pace and was not winded or sweating. A person in questionable physical condition would have exibited signs of stress.

Absolutely, McCain rocks and rolls!:thumbsup2

I think this deserves its own thread. It paints the picture better than anything I've seen yet.

I know this is just a small thing but did anyone notice how BO tossed his flower and JM put his down gently. I do not think BO meant any disrespect but I think McCain felt it more. Maybe it was more personal to him. Considering his experience it is possible. Anyway I just noticed it and thought it was interesting.

Some girl friends and I were talking last night about the election. 2/3 of us had decided on McCain the rest seemed undecided. But what stuck with me was that so many agreed that while they wanted McCain they were afraid BO would win. I hope not!

That is totally unacceptable! What are we to do about teachers like this? If you make too many waves, they take it out on your grade.

YOu are so right. I told my son that she would take it out in his grade. He said he would keep all his papers etc and then he would go to the dean and create an incident by claiming reverse discrimination.

The ironic part is, my son's BEST friend is black (and 6'7") and he is voting for McCain. When my son told his friend what happend he told my son he would go to the class and he would tell them he was voting for McCain and then see what they had to say to him!

In all honesty my kids were brought up in a very DIVERSE community and neither of them see race or ethnicity. In fact when my son was in HS he was told by other students he could not sit at certain tables because of his race and they said he did not know his place(because he was the wrong race). Rather than cause trouble for his friends, he would just eat alone or walk the halls (which was against school rules but to keep peace the vice principal would allow him to do it)! When he tells his stories in the so called diversity classes, they tell him that could never happen to him.

I am glad I brought my kids up to make up their OWN minds but what about all these kids who are in college and think that b/c someone has PHD next to their name that they know everything. That is what scares me.

Charlie Gibson Goes From Most Respected Anchor to Foolish Disgrace

http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/5004

Thanks for posting this, SM! I've been away camping with friends since Wednesday, with no tv and no radio, and getting play by plays via phone from my hubby. He taped the Charlie Gibson interview, and told me he thought Charlie was an ***. I watched it today when I got home, and must say I agree wholeheartedly! I was so disappointed in Charlie, or should I say Charles, Gibson. What a pompous idiot! I was so proud of Sarah Palin and her responses to him. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when she was alone and been able to hear what she would have liked to have said to that blowhard. Where on earth do these holier than thou, has-been reporters get the nerve to grill Palin like that when Obama has never had to face such condescending, disdainful interviewers? It makes me sick.

I have to tell you, I was in Lancaster, PA, camping, and I saw way more McCain/Palin lawn signs than I did Obama, and even one of the owners of a store I was shopping in had a current newspaper on the counter and struck up a conversation with me regarding the election, and told me he felt the tide was turning toward McCain in many parts of PA, and he would put his money on McCain at this point in time. Made me happy, but my friend, who is a die-hard Dem, wasn't!

Good to hear but central PA has always been red. It's the cities that are blue. If either Phila or Pitt weren't in PA I bet we'd be a red state. Still I like to hear it. I was also in Lancaster this weekend and DH and I were counting mCCain signs and bumper stickers. He def. outweighed BO.

My dream is for PA to be red on that electoral map election night.

This has been going on for awhile now. Since I was a Hillary supporter, I still read a lot of blogs and stuff that many PUMA’s post on. ACORN is 100% behind Obama – Obama used to work for them. I thought I posted this on one of the threads here on the DIS – but I currently can’t keep up with what I post where so please forgive me if I already posted this information on this thread:

There were several PUMA’s that reported being approached in Denver outside of the Democratic Convention by a group of people trying to register people to vote. This group didn’t care that none of them were actually from Denver, their purpose was to get as many registration forms filled out as possible. When asked where the completed registration forms were sent to – their answer was moveon.org.
It’s also being reported that in Philadelphia it was discovered that there are thousands more people currently registered to vote in the city than actual citizens.

What I find comical is that I was lurking on the Obama Support thread the other day and they were in a tizzy over McCain sending out thousands of invalid absentee voter ballots. Apparently there are one of two things wrong with the ballots:

1) the incorrect return address (which could be a legitimate mess-up.. then again, I may be more forgiving over something like that because I work for a CPA firm and oh my freakin gosh, we have to send in a gazillion different forms and returns to a gazillion different government addresses and when they change their addresses you have to be paying attention – they don’t draw attention to the fact that there is now an address change. Then again, maybe the GOP is trying to play some underhanded tricks since their opponent is.)

2) this one makes me laugh – there is an added box on the ballots. The box basically states to check here if you are legally allowed to vote. I guess they’re saying that if you don’t check that box it will void your ballot. But with all this voter fraud going on from the Democratic side – that added box cracks me up. :lmao:

:sad2:

I think this deserves its own thread. It paints the picture better than anything I've seen yet.

The OS will just continue to laugh about it. They honestly don't care. I posted this on the Hillary thread a couple of weeks ago:

Obama’s running scared on this Ayers connection hitting mainstream. First was the released ad, which was factual, from the American Issues Project and showed the Obama-Ayers connection. I’ve done enough digging on the Ayers-Obama connection to know that the ad barley touched on the relationship – the ad could have gone much deeper. Obama flipped. His campaign sent out documents to the media outlets demanding the ad not be aired. Everything said in the ad can be backed up. It’s factual. Obama is now asking the Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation to stop the ad. Why so scared Obama? I guess because these are facts that can’t be dismissed and you don’t want the average American to know about it?

The other day on the WGN radio talk show with host Milt Rosenberg, they had Dr. Stanly Kurtz as a guest. Dr. Kurtz is the guy going through the Anneberg Challenge (CAC) files from the University of Illinois at Chicago. These are the documents that recently hit news because the University extended the offer to allow Dr. Kurtz to view them and then took back that offer. Finally, after weeks, he’s been allowed access to the files. What’s important about this is that it was started by William Ayers and he appointed Obama as chair for it. Dr. Kurtz is researching the Obama-Ayers relationship and is currently focusing on the $160 million six year long CAC from 1995 – 2001.

WGN invited Obama’s campaign to the show since the topic would be about the Anneberg files. Obama’s campaign refused. Instead they sent out an e-mail to supporters telling the supporters to call the station in protest. WGN’s phone lines and e-mail was “swamped with abuse” and Milt Rosenberg, who is noted as never being overtly partisan, was described as stunned by the hostility they were receiving. The OS were accusing Milt Rosenberg of “smearing” Obama’s name and accused Kurtz of lying. However, since they were only using the Obama’s campaign talking points and didn’t really know what this was about, when pressed for specifics – they had none to give. They just kept the phone lines jammed for at least an hour with hate.

So, yes, Obama doesn’t want you to know that he’s had a relationship with William Ayers and can be tied back to 1988 and that Ayers is one of the people who have helped him to climb this political ladder of his.

Barack Obama made it appear in public statements that he barely knew Ayers. Here is what he said at the Philadelphia debate in April about his relationship with the terrorist:
This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis. And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was eight years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense, George.
And here's what the Annenberg docs show so far:

The UIC records show that Obama and Ayers attended board meetings, retreats and at least one news conference together as the education program got under way. The two continued to attend meetings together during the 1995-2001 operation of the program, records show.

and the type of OS responses I received for my effort:

-Being told that I'm right - Obama's a Muslim terrorist with a very well constructed plan to destroy America

-Still not seeing how this "means" anything... what does "being in the same room as Ayers" prove? .. oh, and there were probably camera and other people in the same room with them

-(and my favorite) my old next door neighbor threw me a birthday party and we served on two committees together and she's not considered a friend so that's the same thing as the Obama and Ayers relationship.

And don’t forget today’s response on the did Palin lie thread – or maybe it was the Palin interview thread- where I pointed out that Ayers is one of the main people that helped get Obama to where he is today and an OS came back and laughed about that.

They just don’t care.

They care. They care a lot. They are having a meltdown over at Daily Kos. They are demanding Obama fight dirty, and shove the high minded route. They completely have lost sight of the fact that it was his "new" approach to politics that is what appealed to many Independents. Now that he is willing to show that he's eager to play politics as usual, they are turning away from him in disgust. Like it or not, Obama is being held to a higher standard because he wrote the rules that way. Their house of cards is falling down around them and they are in scramble mode. The sense is that Obama is not in control, and never has been. He needs constant structure and guidance, or he is left to flounder and drown on his own.

I wish they would require ID everywhere. There are so many illegals where I live. It wouldn't surprise me if some were able to vote. Speaking of which, has anyone noticed the illegal immigration issue has not really been addressed by either candidate?

I was just thinking about that the other day. The issue has totally dropped off the face of the planet. I don’t think I’ve heard it mentioned since the primary.

Just a test. Can you guys see this? Cause I posted it - but nobody addresses it. I'm beginning to wonder if its invisible....:confused3

Actually, someone did answer. They took a quote straight from Obama: “They’re all guilt by association”. And which side is using party talking-points?

Minnesota is now a battleground state;

http://www.startribune.com/politics...3589.html?elr=KArks:DCiUBcy7hUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU

Could there be hope for NJ??????????????
NAH

I saw that! Amazing! Last time I saw a poll Obama had really pulled ahead, just like he did throughout the upper-Midwest (he was even ahead in ND at one point I believe). It would be great to see McCain take MN! Funny thing is that I’ve seen tons of McCain-Palin commercials, but very few Obama commercials. Maybe they’re having an impact.

Hey guys. Rasmussen today has McCain at 50%, Florida and Pennsylvania are breaking for him, and now McCain and Obama are dead even in Minnesota! Minnesota! The only state that Mondale took in '84 against Reagan!

Could we be looking at a multi-state, yes-we've-got-a-mandate trouncing in November?! What do you all think!

I'm giddy, I tell ya'. Positively giddy. :rotfl:

MN is always seen as a liberal state (which I guess it is), but there are a lot of areas where it isn't. I don’t think it’s the same sort of “left-wing elitist” attitude you find in New England. Maybe Palin connected with voters? Hunting/Fishing/Outdoors stuff, even guns, are still popular here and the hockey thing couldn’t have hurt her either. Remember, in 2004, Kerry only won 51% of the vote, Bush 48% so it’s been a swing state for awhile now. I think McCain definitely has a chance.

Um, when was the last time Mr Man checked in? I'm starting to get worried.

Isn’t the power out down there? I thought he was using a handheld device, but possibly it ran out of battery or something?

Has there ever been an election without negative campaign ads? I can't recall one. Both sides are running the ads. Some of the ads are issue based, some are a intermixed with a mish mash of non-issue jabs. Both sides do it. :confused3

Running the negative campaign ads is something Obama does quite well. He executes the negative ads, denies it, and calls the McCain camp on it. Then he continues doing it. Applying that strategy to a presidency would be interesting! Now there's talk of a "scorched earth" campaign by Obama. I thought he declared, "Enough". Anyway, the scorched earth campaign seems to be accepted by a majority of his followers. So it's not okay to run negative ads, but it's okay to run collossally negative campaign ads? Where's the logic? How are they different? Is this the change and "uniting" Obama promised?

I say have at it. It will only make him look worse. It is strangely amusing and highly illogical for Obama and his supporters to cry foul about negativity over and over while participating, then to declare, "game on" and step it up. And how is that a different approach to politics? :upsidedow

Well said. What is wrong with saying “My name is _______. This is why you should vote for me: __________. This is why you shouldn’t vote for my opponent: ___________”. Obama was the one who said he wouldn’t “go to that level no matter how competitive the race got”. I guess once the polls weren’t looking quite as rosy, the strategy inside Obama HQ changed.

Just got back from hockey and my son jumped behind our McCain sign and started cheering (the sun was in his eye's though) - I had my cellphone and snapped a pic :goodvibes FYI - 2 more McCain signs just went up on our block as of this morning!

:thumbsup2 Looks great!!!

Rasmussen's on Fox. McCain is 50% Obama 47%....says it's significant...not only reaching 50% but, he hasn't lost any of his bounce. Also, saying McCain is now leading in the electoral vote. Says election shaping up like 2004. McCain has 6% advantage among unaffliated voters. Republicans are more excited about the election than Obama supporters. There is a declining interest from young voters and women about the election in general.....bad news for Obama.

I think in some ways the long, drawn-out Democratic primary race helped McCain. I think many people are just getting tired of Obama and his preaching. It all sounds great, but when you’ve heard it for the hundredth time, you really start to wonder if there’s any substance behind it.

I think this deserves its own thread. It paints the picture better than anything I've seen yet.

I agree, but come on. We all know what will happen when the OS Bus arrives, and it doesn’t appear anything will get the point across to them. Dolce27 said it best: “They just don’t care”.

Isn’t Phila the “really blue” city, and Pittsburgh a bit more of a "blue collar"/lunchbucket city? I wonder if Palin might connect with the blue-collar workers in Pittsburgh and help them win in PA. I know Philadelphia has a very large black population, so I don’t think McCain has much of a chance there, but if you get some of the Pittsburgh vote, combined with the rural areas, maybe there is a possibility of turning PA red.

Obama a LIAR? You tell me....

THE AYERS/OBAMA TIMELINE: (Version 2.0; a work in progress; dates are approximate)

1981-1983 [William Ayers and Barack Obama meet at Columbia?]
1987 William Ayers links up with Barack Obama in Chicago
1988 Ayers solicits Khalid Al-Mansour to raise money for Obama's Harvard law School education
1989 Tom Ayers and William Ayers get Obama a summer job at Sidley & Austin (where he meets Michelle Obama); Ayers' wife Bernadine Dohrn also worked at Sidley at about the same time as Barack and Michelle.
1993 Ayers places Obama on Woods Foundation
1995 Ayers makes Obama Chairman of Annenberg Challenge
1995 Ayers hosts a coffee klatch for Obama's political debut (Obama falsely claims this is when he met Ayers)
2007-2008 The structure of Obama's presidential campaign increasingly comes to resemble an Ayers-designed national "community organizer matrix" straight out of Maoist theory. This is not merely a presidential "campaign." Obama's organization is the first installment of an ongoing movement being paid for with tax-exempt contributions to his campaign, approaching half a billion dollars.
2008 Obama In response to ABC News, Obama tells a national TV audience he was "six years old" when Ayers bombed federal buildings, and they are only casual neighborhood acquaintances. A lie.

Obama has been fighting dirty. The thing is , no matter what he does, his minions say "The Obamasiah said he's taking the high road and that's exactly what he's doing." :sad2: His latest ad about McCain with the internet went too far as far as I'm concerned. It states McCain says he 'Doesn't know anything about the economy.' WTH? I saw the interview with McCain (& I'm sure it's on youtube) and he said "I don't know AS MUCH as I would like to know about economics." That is a HUGE differerence  .

TO ALL THE OS LURKERS: Just because Obama wants to pretend he knows it all, it doesn't make it so.

Actually, I find most of them just blame McCain for the negative campaigning. As far as they’re concerned, Obama is only “responding” to attacks against him. They’ll go on to tell you how “Gore and Kerry never responded to the attacks and Obama can’t let the ‘Repugs’ use Rovian and swiftboating tactics to beat him". It’s all, surprise surprise, excuses.
