I love you guys!!!!
OT, but I rewatched parts of Dancing with the Stars from last night and... Am I alone in my thinking that Warren Sapp is a poor man's (and I mean a very poor man's) Emmitt Smith? He's horrible, and I hate watching him "dance." I'm totally amazed at the scores he got last night. The judges (Carrie Ann aside) trashed him, but then gave him high scores. Hello, disconnect! The only football players I actually liked on the show were Jason Taylor last year (whose technique was better, but still not great) and Jerry Rice, whom I wanted to win in Season 2 out of him and Drew (Stacy was my overall favorite).
Anyway. Won't say who got voted off for the sake of those of you in other time zones.

Gmboy, you're just like that neighborhood kid that refused to go home and hung around outside the screen door.

I agree with that!
Speaking of odd, here is a funny video called:

i thought emmitt did pretty well, but he wasn't MY winner. the scores were high for warren because he dances as though he's just having tons of fun and he really performs well for the audience. the scores were far too high, however, given lance/lacey's performance, which was flawless. i'm ready for that simpy, untalented brooke to bite the dust, then warren, then cody (who will probably go home tonight unfortunately, and lance will win. he has too much turn-in but overall pretty darn good technique.
thanks for not telling me. you guys are all in bed by the time i get home from work i think.
Also OT, but I'm listening to Subsonic and part of Finding Nemo: The Musical from AK is playing. I'm having bad flashbacks right now!No offense to anyone who adores it, just not my thing.

We just saw the first few minutes of it in 2007 before it closed during the performance due to "undisclosed problems." Saw it in its entirety in May and... that was the first Disney show I actually hated. It went on and on and on and ON! And I love Finding Nemo! I was very disappointed. It was like a bad version of the Disney on Ice version of it.

See, my problem is they harped on Cody and Brooke's technique and scored them lower for that, saying at this point in the season they expected high standards of technique. But then they turned around and gave Warren higher scores when they out and out said (repeatedly) he had little to no technique and what he did do, most of it was done poorly. So if you're going to say technique is so important at this point, and you judge 3 out of 4 couples on technique, then I find it a joke that they judge the 4th on entertainment only. Not that he's as bad as Cloris was at some points, but they would tell her how entertaining she was but that she couldn't get by on entertainment. They've pulled stunts like this in the past too to push forward their "pets" IMO (Kelly Monaco being a perfect example), and it's annoyed me every single time.
Okay, that part of the Country Bears Jamboree that goes "All the guys that turn me on turn me down" was just on and I started laughing so hard I think I woke up a bird sleeping outside of the window.![]()

Since this is the first major holiday since Mom died, we are going to go to a wonderful brunch at one of the hotels here. We will all come back to our new home and sit and rub our bellies and visit. We are all trying to find our new normal.
A pork shoulder. Yum!
