I'm going to post and then try to catch up.

My friends' son killed himself this morning. :sad1: He just turned 18. We just came home from their house. It's been a really really sad day. Please say a prayer for the Bailey family in the loss of their son and brother. His little sister is my DD's friend. He cheered competitively with Ashley one year, and his sister did for three years and they were friends. I want to comfort them the best I can, but I know there is not a lot I can do but be there and listen and pray. I'm worried about her after everyone leaves.

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I am so sorry. :grouphug: Prayers said.

Just being there for her will be a great comfort. for your DD.

No luck just yet - same as last night -- wmp just keeps popping off.....:confused3

Are you clicking directly on the Windows Media Player icon on the main Listen page, by Requests? If you are then I'd suggest checking to see if you need to update your WMP. Did you try the different speeds available and see if the lower speed ones work? It acted up for me that first day I tried it, but it worked after that. I just had to click on the icon next to the feed I wanted to launch from that main page, rather than the area you can click on in the lefthand column on the side of the page. If that still doesn't work, post step by step what you're doing, and I'll see if I can figure out where it's going wonky.

I'm so sorry! I will keep them all and y'all in my prayers. How terrible. :sad1: A good friend of mine lost his brother to suicide. He won't really talk about it. He did a tiny bit right after it happened, but it was very hard on him. I would definitely suggest to their family to either seek family counseling through their church if they have one or through a family counseling clinic. There are free ones in many states; my grad school ran a free one, for example. Losing a loved one to suicide is one of the hardest things that can ever happen to a family. Thoughts and prayers are with them. And  to you and yours as well.

I am so sorry. My daughter had a close friend commit suicide. It is very difficult....

It's the neat radio website wonderlanne told us about the other day that has literally hundreds of hours worth of Disney theme park and resort music. They have set feeds of types of musics, or a request line. If you register, you get so many points which you use to request songs. The points regenerate every 24 hours; you get more points by posting there. You need that to be able to request the really long tracks. You don't have to join to listen though.

It's very exciting. Everytime I've been online since she told us about it, I have it playing. It's like I'm back in WDW! :yay:

OMG I JUST CHECKED THAT SITE OUT AND THEY HAVE A WHOLE SOARIN' CHANNEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jumping1:

Sorry.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I tried all the speeds and kept getting the same response - wmp popping up then popping out. I'd try to 'catch' the play button then poof!

I'm updating wmp right now -- brb...

Thanks. I enjoyed this story very much.

I have one of my own I would like to share. A true story.

Mr. Man...that is a beautiful story. :goodvibes What a gracious thing for you to do.

blestmom- How is Jack doin'?

He is great! He is so sweet. I just love him already...:goodvibes

Does anyone else find it (deliciously) ironic that with all the trashing of Walmart and their tactics of smashing "little guy" competition, Walmart's profits are up 10 percent for the last quarter. So I wonder if they're still going to hammer away at them when they clearly are helping out the "little guy" in these troubled times.

I joke to my DH that we should just have his paycheck direct deposited there. Seems I am there almost everyday...

Deb, I heard that Sen Stevens is behind in the election but there are still more votes to count. What's your take on this?

It really rather strange. I like the way one guy up here described it...

You know how when you're at the movies, you put your coat on a seat to save it for your buddy who's getting popcorn? Voting for Senator Stevens was kind of like that...kind of like saving a seat for a Republican...

Personally, I don't know how fair of a trial he got...

"The Romans did not build Rome by holding meetings. The Romans built Rome by killing all who opposed them". They made me keep it hidden.

LOL! :rotfl2:

They also looked at me strangely when during the holidays I had a little Christmas village on my desk. Of course, the strange looks could have been because I stuck a godzilla in the middle of it.

This sounds so much like my DS...

They probably read here and named it after you!:thumbsup2 :)

:rotfl: Perhaps they did!!;) And the playlist is now in my iTunes so I don't have to get online to listen.... HECK YES!!!!!! :dance3:

Ughhhh.... how can you lose 25 pages of notes for a class?? I just had all my notes for Western Civ I printed and on my dresser and now I've flippin' lost them.... I'm thinking I might've gathered them up with some garbage and thrown them out.  So back to the computer lab tomorrow morning to print ANOTHER copy.....:headache:

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

I agree. I hate his policies, but I don't hate him. I seriously dislike him, but I don't hate him. I know there's a lot of debate about the "He's not my President" idea. The way I look at it is, he's not yet because the President is still President Bush. But when he is sworn in, unfortunately he will be my President. I won't like it, but I can't make myself say he's not my President. Namely because I always wanted to smack people I knew upside the head when they said it about Bush, and I'm not much into hypocrisy. I yelled at my TV when Obama said it during one of the debates too... "John, your President blah blah blah." I was miffed at McCain for not saying "Excuse me, he is your President too." Just because Obama and Bush haters act like children doesn't mean I'm going to.
:thumbsup2 That's my attitude. It's the policies, not him. I have nothing against Obama as a person, it's just what he stands for that doesn't sit well with me.

OT: Subsonic radio = Wow! Thank you so much for that link. I love WDW music and have downloaded an embarrassing amount from other sites. This is just the kind of site I love. :worship:

Might I ask what your sources are for the other songs you've gotten?? I'm always on the lookout for WDW songs.:goodvibes This Soarin' channel brings back soooo many memories of soooo many long waits in line to ride.... first time, my father and I waited for 2.5 HOURS to ride and I never have regretted that (made my mom mad, but she hates waiting for anything). I'd stand in line all day for a ride on Soarin'.:goodvibes

Does anyone have the soundtrack for AKL? The lodge, not the park. I LOVE that music.
