Where's the gagging smilie?

This one?:

I thought about playing with the deal too. However, I'm concerned since I'll be paying for someone else's trip to WDW next year, I'll probably have to forego my own.

I would laugh, but unfortunately there may be more truth to that than humor. Heck, since it'd only be 3 going on our trip, we'd probably be ordered to take a 4th person with us since they can fit in the resort room! :rotfl:

In all seriousness though, I was reading an article earlier today on Drudge about Disney expecting a bad 2009 and cutting costs anywhere they could. So, since everything is Bush's fault to many, can I blame Obama for Fantasmic! being cut down to 2-3 shows per week? Just askin'. :confused3

That has been one of my major problems with him from the beginning - he's a jerk. An arrogant jerk at that. He always acts immature and he doesn't handle himself well in stressful situations. He flipped off Hillary. Supposedly he flipped off McCain. He refused to speak to the media that was on his campaign plane for what was it? Eleven days? After the last primary debate where he had his butt handed to him on a platter... and so many other things. He's is very immature, very cocky, very arrogant and very thin skinned.

No, it's not because of Biden. Obama has astounding arrogance and in that arrogance he says crass and offensive things all the time and all on his own. I think that's why he has to use a teleprompter all the time; so that he'll stick to a prepared speech written by someone else and not say something stupid and offensive.

Agreed. I was just trying to make everyone laugh while I pictured the photoshopped picture of Biden with an actual foot in his mouth. :rotfl:

LOOKING FOR A BOOK REVIEW.

Anyone read Dick Morris' book FLEECED?

Thinking about picking it up tomorrow. Anyone?

For $10, I'd get it anyway. The only reviews I've heard are O'Reilly's and Hannity's. Not exactly unbiased sources. :lmao: Ann Coulter has a new book coming out in December though! :yay: I have been re-reading the one that came out last fall over the past couple of days. She's over the top sometimes, but she makes me laugh and makes sense more often than not to me.

I think it has to be part of the NEA, otherwise how could so many be so stupid?

BTW... 2 people added [to ignore list] in the last week. Both OS-I have never had anyone on ignore since I joined in my first incarnation in 2004.

I was sick and tired of all the mess going on and reading some of this stuff, that I went from putting my very first person on ignore last week to a whopping 15 this week. :rotfl2:

I wonder if that guy will require that the kids do more volunteering in addition to what they do now? Most schools require some sort of volunteerism.

We home school and if that guy's plan passes, we will continue to home school. I do want her to go to high school next year so that she can participate in the social activities.

See, I don't think most schools do require volunteerism. Charter schools, sure, but regular schools? There's no such requirement in the state of VA. Individual school districts might have it, but the state doesn't. It just ticks me off. The school's duty in that regard is to encourage volunteerism and provide resources and opportunities for them to do volunteerism. Not force them to and tell them it's a graduation requirement and federal funding depends on it. :sad2:

And I'm just waiting to see what will be considered "approved" community service. We push school-family-community partnerships, and an inclusion of faith based organizations and churches in the school system if they want to help. Why do I assume that church volunteerism won't count and something like being mini-mes to ACORN recruiters will.

I'm flippin' through the cable guide. How appropriate...the horror movie "End of Days" is on. Next up....the WWIII action/adventure ..."Red Dawn". I'm DEFINITELY going to have nightmares tonight.

**added**
I can't look any further. If "Soylent Green" is also showing.....I won't be able to sleep for weeks!:scared1:

Jesus, God, one of the OS just said they were for required volunteerism-
you want to say oxy moron instead of oxymoron.

Someone....actually....said BO was a "gentleman" for apologizing to Nancy Reagan. A gentleman wouldn't have made such a snide remark to begin with.

I agree. Plus a President (elect or otherwise) needs to watch what he says every time he opens his mouth because every word carries consequences. You would think that with all the Umms and Uhhs he would have bought himself enough time to think every word through!

Someone needs to give that idiot a handheld teleprompter.....he needs it.

Think we should all pitch in and give it to him for an inauguration present?
Nah, let's just laugh for 4 years.

Not really volunteerism if it's forced/mandatory, is it? :sad2:

Oh, geez. I went from no one on ignore, to one, now it's nine so far. :rolleyes1

I'm not a member of the Hannity forums, but there are several Obama supporters on there who are all for it. Even going so far as to throw the unpatriotic charge out there if people didn't want their children to do it, and telling them they were bad parents and their children were lazy. There was a funny story either there or on another forum that I read today that was talking about someone showing the plan on Obama's website to a co-worker who voted for Obama and starts college in January. The co-worker flipped out when he read what he would "have" to do if he wanted the $4,000. Can't believe Obama would do that to him, and is absolutely furious about it now. Umm, yeah. That's why you need to actually read and research before voting.

Required volunteerism is not volunteerism. It's compulsory service, period. The college part of it can be justified (although I still dislike it), because the student is getting something in exchange for their time.

Involuntary servitude, however, is what the Middle School and High School programs are based on the information we have so far. Involuntary servitude is unconstitutional by the way (13th Amendment, anyone?), unless it's punishment for a crime. I have no doubt if it was made a federal education requirement, we'd see lawsuits. Would be interesting to see if the courts ruled against it, or if they said "Well, they're minors, they're not protected by the 13th Amendment because students check most of their rights at the school door."

If it was just that...(laughing at him)...I wouldn't worry about it. Jesus, this was his FIRST time out after the election. This man is going to start WW3 with his stupid mouth. There are some bad people in this world....this joke can't just go around making wise cracks. This is serious. Maybe, they'll send him away with Biden.....
