Eh. I don't like the Seattle aquarium. I'd live with it, but I'd rather do the zoo too. We'll just have to look for some sustained cold (instead of wet) weather. :)
Me, either. So when do you think a good time to go would be?

How many phone calls do you think he got before he decided to make an apology?

Some dude called into Hannity today - praising Obama with a poem. Hannity asked him do you really think he is the messiah. And the guy responded that Obama was proclaimed the messiah. You really can't make this stuff up.

Ward I really need the batsignal.

I think he probably got a few.
They wonder why we shake our heads at their worship of him...and now a guy who calls in and says he's been proclaimed messiah. Sheesh. :rolleyes1

:confused3 You know how our weather is. It's really hard to plan in advance if you're going to be outdoors. That's why I was initially thinking the Science Center, because then the weather doesn't matter.

I don't watch the news very often, so I seldom know what the extended forecast is. If you guys do, I can get it together on relatively short notice to do things if we get a nice weather window for the zoo before next August. LOL

UGH you guys, I have one of those debilitating headaches that makes you want to throw up. And some of the threads "out there" are NOT helping. I think I need a cup of strong coffee and a nap. :sad2: Unfortunately I'm alone with my son tonight, and I don't dare go to sleep and leave a five year old boy unattended.

Hope your headache goes away soon.

As for the Science Center, that one's okay, too. I just haven't been to the seattle zoo in a couple of years.
Nice weather window? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've been sitting here about an hour and a half going through the WDW reservation website, trying to figure out what's available with this 3 Nights Free deal. Random rant, but when you change the resort option you're looking at, must they really always change your ticket choices back to 8 days and no options? Would it really be that hard for them to not fix it so I don't have to go back and click "Park Hopper" and "7 Day Ticket" after they give me the resort rate? Every. Darned. Time.

:headache:

I just got a quote (for three adults) of $3,600 (including tax, fees) for 8 nights at the Grand Floridian in May, including 8 day park hoppers. 9 nights at WL in May of this year plus tickets cost more than that. Too bad I have no desire to stay at the Grand, but nonetheless. Good deals to be had, people!

I thought about playing with the deal too. However, I'm concerned since I'll be paying for someone else's trip to WDW next year, I'll probably have to forego my own.

This is why he's so scary. He thinks he's so smart and cute. Wait until he says something flip about one of our enemies....:scared1:

He is also vindictive. He punished FoxNews by not calling on them in the press conferance today:

Who Got To Ask Questions At The Obama Presser?

In order:

Nedra Pickler (AP), Lee Cowan (NBC), Jake Tapper (ABC), Chip Reid (CBS), Karen Bohan (Reuters), John McCormick (Chicago Tribune), Lynn Sweet (Chicago Sun-Times), Candy Crowley (CNN), Jeff Zeleny (New York Times).

Which network didn't get a question? Fox News.

I heard about that on the news. Sheesh.

Okay, people. The election's over. Can we stop with the pro-obama commercials, please? "President-elect Obama, you're ready to lead. We're ready to follow."
Barf.

I've been meaning to tell you I will keep you in my prayers, and I'm glad we are all here to help each other out. This is a great group of people, and the most fun thread on the DIS, in my opinion.

Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it. All of your support means so much to me. :grouphug:

ok...who will add me on myspace so I can see hers too?? :)

I'll PM someone my myspace link. Can't publish it.

If anyone wants to add me to their myspace, just PM me. I don't publish my link 'cause I don't want all the crazies coming out of the woodwork... sigh.

That would be cool but it is sooooo not zoo weather! Maybe we'll get some clear and cold later this month. My kids would come too. :) Honu, you can act my kids' ages if you want; they are 5 and 9.

:rotfl2: Sweet! If I've got energy that day, heck yeah! I'm fine with the Science Center too. Doesn't matter to me where we go.

Michelle~ We could do the aquarium, as well, if the weather is going to stink. The zoo is better, though.

I'm fine with the aquarium too.

Me, either. So when do you think a good time to go would be?

I'm gone most of next week to LA for a new doctor, but I'm up for just about any other time.

Hope your headache goes away soon.

Yeah, nice weather window. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Can't remember who had the headache, but I hope it goes away soon and hope that baby Jacob is A-OK and on his way home soon. :grouphug: :cheer2:

He is my President and I will respect the office, but he acts like an immature buffoon and needs to remember what office he was elected to and start acting like he belongs there.

It will be easier treating him with respect when he starts showing some respect to the office and to all of us that may disagree with him on some issues.

That has been one of my major problems with him from the beginning - he's a jerk. An arrogant jerk at that. He always acts immature and he doesn't handle himself well in stressful situations. He flipped off Hillary. Supposedly he flipped off McCain. He refused to speak to the media that was on his campaign plane for what was it? Eleven days? After the last primary debate where he had his butt handed to him on a platter... and so many other things. He's is very immature, very cocky, very arrogant and very thin skinned.

They even had a logo that said something like "office of President Elect".

Seriously? How ridiculous can this man get?

I guess that it is OK to pick on Sarah Palin because of her accent though!

I've learned this election that the liberals are very hypocritical. Very.

hi:

i'd like to say that i understand who has been elected to the office of POTUS, and i respect the office, my country, and our history, but i do not feel i MUST respect the person filling the position.

respect is earned.

to date, this person has been disrespectful of what this country is about, what the flag represents, and of former POTUSs (and now their wives too?). when he shows that he is respectful of this country and what we have all done to maintain our freedom and opportunities, i will consider paying him resect.

:thumbsup2 Agree

Oh yeah, did you all hear Sarah is doing an exclusive interview with Greta on Monday night?:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2008/11/ ... o-run.html
WOW- 64% Of Republicans Want Palin to Run in 2012

But..but.. but..64% of Republicans can't want her in 2012 - she's the reason enough of them didn't vote giving McCain the win.

Seriously, I was reading somewhere else where liberal idiots weren’t on to pipe in every two seconds stating that Sarah wasn’t qualified or Sarah is stupid or it’s all Sarah’s fault…

(Oh, and to any liberals lurking on here right now…and I know you’re there…you do realize that Sarah is a Governor – right? A Governor is above a Senator. Therefore, until Obama’s inauguration in January, Sarah holds a higher position in the country than Obama does yet she’s the one not qualified for the job? Whatever.)

Back on topic: they had a really good discussion going as to why McCain may have lost. Yes, many Republicans stayed at home … but it wasn’t because of Sarah Palin. As we keep trying to explain to the left, and what in their vile hatred of the woman they won’t listen to, Sarah is the reason that McCain did so well because she riled up the conservative base. It has to do with the economy. McCain lost a lot of his votes when he voted for the bailout. That turned a lot of fiscal conservatives off and that was when his poll numbers began to slide back down. They already weren’t keen on the man and then they didn’t trust him to run the country as a conservative if he was voting on a socialistic program such as the bailout.

Oprah now wanting to interview Sarah Palin. I hope Sarah tells Oprah were to stick it. I wouldn't go on her show if she was the only show.

I hope that she does too.

My mother is still crying over the election. She has friends in Germany (former east Germans) and they are laughing at the stupid Americans for voting the socialist in office. Americans sold out for a few bucks and some slick words.

It's very telling, the world reaction. Our enemies celebrated and then began getting aggressive towards us. People, like the eastern Germans, who understand communism and socialism and have suffered under it all call us idiots for electing a man to move us in that direction. While we are not all idiots, because many of us on this thread saw Obama for what he was and refused to vote for him, we're still going to have to suffer from the decision that the idiots of this country made. Sadly, there were more idiots that voted this election than intelligent people.

Yup, Tink & Goofy, it was just on my radio that Obama "called Nancy Reagan and apologized for his careless joke."

Apparently he's been hanging out with Joe "Foot-In-Mouth" Biden too much.

No, it's not because of Biden. Obama has astounding arrogance and in that arrogance he says crass and offensive things all the time and all on his own. I think that's why he has to use a teleprompter all the time; so that he'll stick to a prepared speech written by someone else and not say something stupid and offensive.

Washington Times got slighted as well. We can expect more of the same for the next 4 years -- those who do not worship at the altar of obama shall be smited.

:lmao:
Now that "red state" bumper sticker is hitting below the belt.

HEE HEE -- my state got redder -- the only positive thing after this election!!! I'm debating between this one or the one that says "I'll give your president as much respect as you gave mine." That'll upset quite a many PTS I'm sure.

I think I now what channel you're watching -- I think I'm going to go get a DVD and watch Don't Mess with the Zohan. Adam is a republican isn't he?

Hi all. I'm very new to this thread. I think I posted a couple of times on the old one. But I'd love to join in now and then.

Thanks for the duct tape.:rotfl:

I also found out that Glenn Beck is selling his own brand of duct tape now!:

GB Duct Tape

Ever find yourself reading a particularly aggravating news story without duct tape handy? Now you can always have duct tape nearby for these type of emergencies. Get this duct tape 2-pack and be prepared.

Disclaimer: Duct Tape cannot prevent your head from exploding, but it will make it easier to locate the pieces afterwards.

I absolutely adore Glenn Beck. I've been listening to him on the radio since 2002 and he's the only reason I keep subscribing to XM Radio in my car. His insight and sense of humor are the best of the talk show folks (IMHO).

He did call Nancy Reagan and apologize. Good for him.

Ahmadinejad sent a congratulatory note to obama. North Korea also says they're willing to talk to him.
Geez. A congrats note from a terrorist. Nice.

Fabulous! President-Elect for a couple of days and he's already having to apologize to a former, dead President's wife and receiving "best wishes" cards from that nutjob.

I thought about playing with the deal too. However, I'm concerned since I'll be paying for someone else's trip to WDW next year, I'll probably have to forego my own.

:rotfl: :rotfl: But sad!

LOOKING FOR A BOOK REVIEW.

Anyone read Dick Morris' book FLEECED?

Thinking about picking it up tomorrow. Anyone?

I put the Ann Coulter quote in my sig. :thumbsup2
Yup, Adam's one of ours. And Zohan was pretty funny if a little crass.

Excellent - on both counts. No school tomorrow - kids are upstairs watching Tinkerbell. I'm going to open a bottle of wine and pop The Zohan in my DVD player.

I WOULD STILL LOVE A REVIEW OF FLEECED IF ANYONE HAS ONE-- There is a one day sale tomorrow at BAMM and it's only $10.
