Oh, and I forgot to add that some British people on another message board I go to think it's good that the Iranian dude (I can never spell his name) congratulated H on his win. I see it as the old saying, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer..." Why would a crazy dude want to congratulate us unless he's got something bad in the works or knows that we are going to be in a weaker, more vulnerable state? Closure on losing his grandma? Yeah, I don't know if I buy that one. I believe I read that he said some not-so-nice things about them in his book(s) and threw her under the bus when it was inconvenient to be reminded that he's biracial.

He can't really care about her too terribly much. You don't treat family members you care about that way.

I don't really think it matters when the service is really guys. My Grandma's memorial was a month out and I hope people did not think we didn't love her because of it.

I get more of a kick out of the OS getting their panties in a wad when he makes a mistake (Nancy Reagan for instance) and how they remind us we lost when trying to defend his error. It is going to be a fun 4 years if that is all they can come up with Not to mention the reality check they need that the WIN was not HUGE like it was a predicted LANDSLIDE.

As much as I love her, I think you might be right. Like I said before, I think after the govenorship she should run for senate. We need her in Washington and in some ways, you have more power as a congressman than pres. And she has shown she is electable in Alaska. They love her. So it's an easy way to get her in.

One thing I will always love her for is putting the light to true conservatism again. The base was just, "eh", about McCain until she came on board. She might not have been perfect, but she let the Rep. leaders know that we love what she stands for. We let them know this in a big way. I just hope they keep remembering over the next four years.

I'm sorry Meghan. You don't know how tempted I am to cancel ours. I almost feel guilty planning it. But we've put a non-refundable deposit on the condo (about the only negative of renting a place) and we have the tickets in the safe ready to go. So it's not like we haven't spent any money already.

And just think.......in 2009 or 2010 you'll have all that money from Obama to go on vacation with. I, for one, am looking forward to getting my mortgage paid. Oh, and my healthcare. Heck, at this rate, we might go to WDW twice next year!

You (and everyone here) might want to bookmark this site: http://blog.bobbyjindal.com/ Jindal posts a blog about once a week where he talks about what he did during the week, issues they're pursuing, legislation they're passing, meetings, etc. As Reagan said "Trust, but verify." But I think that blog site could help us all learn a lot about him in the months and years to come.

I believe the swing to the left stops here. In 2 more years, they aren't going to be able to say "it's all Bush's fault". Quite a few of those seats in the House and Senate will be ripe for the picking. Probably not enough to get a majority, but some should swing back to the Republican side.

There Republican Party was very vulnerable for many reasons...one being sheer numbers. I hope conservatives can take this time to develop something that actually resembles "GUMPTION"!!! I'm ticked at the way Gov. Palin was treated....by both sides. I never thought I'd feel bad for Hillary but, I DO. BO's campaign played nasty and dirty. I will give him as much respect as Bush, McCain, Palin and Clinton were given. I look at him as a radical dem....nothing more....nothing less.

I have not been around for the last few days. I was just wondering....did we ever hear anything more about BO's grandmother's death? I mean if he went to a funeral it would be all over the news right? If it has not been, I just wonder how it is possible that she died this "typical white person" who was practically his MOTHER and then .....nothing. NO reports of a service, burial ....is this going to be like 'Weekend at Bernie's"? OR more like PYSCHO? OR did she die long before the bs statement made on the day before the election? See this bothers me quite a bit and I do not understand why it has been just dropped by the press. If she did die two or three weeks ago, it speaks to the lenghts the press and BO will go to insure an election.

Maybe, she died while he was visiting...or maybe, before he got there?? Who knows ....

My fundraiser last night went well! Our auction alone made around $1100 which is a huge amount for our little group! I literally was on my feet for 12 hours yesterday, but it was all worth it!
