Jack: Jack glanced over at River noticing her wide eyes and her hand up to her braid. He chuckled at her before shaking his head slightly and turning to taking a glimpse of Alex.

Alex: Alex grinned back at Toby before shaking her head. "I'm pretty sure I'm more special for being your best friend than being the poor girl who got a fake rejection as well as a dumb break-up line. On a different note, I'm so excited to go to the beach! I haven't actually swam in the ocean for awhile, unless you include cliff diving," She said smiling fondly at the memories.

Jack: Jack couldn't help the shocked expression that surely showed in his face as well as with his voice."You jumped off a cliff?" He asked incredulously.

River: River caught Jack's glance and pulled her hand down from her braid quickly and pushed her hands into her pockets.

Toby: Toby smiled, "oh stop, you know you are special" he said trying not to sound to cheesy. Toby paused and then looked at Alex "Wait what?! you've cliff dived!"

Alex: Alex laughed at the two boy's reactions before nodding her head. "Well, yeah. It's really cold in Washington but we do have beaches, some just happen to have cliffs by them. It's really fun to do it! It's a little scary at first but once you feel the water surround you it's really amazing. Unless you almost drown, because trust me, that's pretty scary." She shuddered a bit remembering the wave that plummeted her deep below the water before shaking her head as if to physically remove the memory.

Jack: Jack frowned hearing Alex and immediately didn't like the idea of her cliff diving anymore. "You shouldn't have done something so stupid. Can't stick with an inside pool can you? You have to be the bravest, huh shortcake?" He slightly teases watching an apple red blush cover Alex's cheeks.

Alex: Alex blushed at Jack for an odd reason but tried to hide it by letting her hair fall in her face a bit and wave her hand dismissively. "What can I say? I live on the wild side."

Alex: Alex sighed before looking down at her shoes again,"I really need to get some money and get new shoes. These old things are falling apart but they've lasted about five years, almost six if they make it to my birthday in a couple months or so. Don't they look terrible?" Alex lifted her leg up to show off her raggedy old shoes to the room with a smile on her face. "Pathetic, huh?"

Jack's eyebrows furrowed together thinking about it but decided tonight he would try to figure it out by meeting her family.
