Alison- I saw the thread you posted on the other boards. It took a lot of guts to post and I'm glad that everything is cleared up. Shawna- your post on there was awesome too. Now I won't have to bring that giant shield on the ladies trip :rotfl: :grouphug:

Hey, pixster, what's new?

Hi Alex! :) I'm okay, just trying to relax at home. I took my little sister to her swimming practice. It was moved to another location because the pool she swims at normally was overcrowded by the other swim teams.

Then I went to the market for some groceries. I had to pee so bad when I got there. I sped to the bathrooms in the back of the store but someone was in there. I heard this lady blowing her nose loudly and she was in there for the longest time. I was tempted to go into the men's bathroom but then this elderly lady pounded on the men's bathroom door and said: "HAROLD!! MY GOD ARE YOU STILL IN THERE???" and he said: "YEAH!" and I almost started laughing. I had to turn my head away to keep from laughing. I grabbed the groceries I needed and rushed home.

We had our "curriculum night" at the schools tonight. DH actually did make it home in time to go, thank goodness. But he was tired after a long day and just wanted to skip it. Since I'd gone through a lot of effort to arrange for us to go, I said no, we need to go.

So we did. It went well, DS8's teacher was nice. She gave her little spiel on the curriculum, the schedule of the day, and other interesting things about plans for the class.

Parents asked a lot of questions, and since I'd already spoken with her a few weeks ago, I hadn't expected to have many. But one of the parents asked about homework, and how do you know what work the kids are supposed to be doing? She said all the kids are supposed to be doing math facts, reading, spelling practice EVERY NIGHT, and she also sends home a homework sheet of either math or spelling practice or something to be completed and returned the next day. She also said the kids have a planner in their binder (I knew that part) in which they write all the homework they have for the day. (Didn't know that!)

I knew about the homework sheet, but not the rest. DH and I looked at each other like, "Ohhh really? DS has been saying there wasn't any other homework..." I asked him about it when he got home and he played all innocent: "Really, Mama? I didn't know that." :rotfl:

Too funny! :rotfl2:

How weird is this? I did not know FOR YEARS that grocery stores had bathrooms! I don't think I found that out until my 2nd pregnancy, when I had to go really bad and I think I went to ask a clerk if I could use an employee bathroom. :lmao:

That's good that you went to the parents night. LOL, I think all kids do that at some point. "I don't know what you're talking about." :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Trust me, I didn't know either!! When they first built Albertson's near my house, I walked in and said: "OMG! They have a bathroom!!!" :rotfl2: :lmao: I always thought that they made you suffer!! :lmao:

I passed by the bathroom (this is at Ralph's Market) 2 more times and she was still in there!! Some others tried to use it too and they just gave up. :sad2:

I thought I was going to have a 2319 situation!! :lmao:

What?? He can't get a sheet of plywood to put between the mattress and box springs, leave about 4 feet hanging out on one side and nail a couple of dresser drawer's to them? Sheesh, how does he think the pioneer's managed?:lmao:
Heck.. He suggested that we just pull the drawer out to feed em, and shut it when they whine. :lmao:

Evenin gals! I woke the hubby up and we chatted for a bit about the beasties.. Mikalah came in and tried to snatch his meatloaf... Which he was NOT having. He loves meatloaf... He aint sharing with NO ONE. :lmao:

Did I chase everyone off? I took a shower today!:lmao:
Sorry, had to get DS8 off to bed. Then DH and DS4 came in, and DH wanted me to scratch his back. DS4 "helped" and was a little too vigorous. :lmao:
