I use to work with a girl that said her and her husband had naked time every day and watched the news etc like that...WTH

Too many distractions..

I mean really think of all the important things you would miss on the news. :rolleyes1

Good... right, it's evening! :lmao:

And to think I haven't even been drinking like Bernice... :rotfl:

Dang it, I am thirsty though. No, seriously. I need to get a glass of water, I think. On the way to the airport this afternoon, DS mentioned that they talked about September 11th in class today, so we talked about it, and what happened to me that day, and how horrible it all was. My throat got really tight and I kept talking, and now I've got a frog stuck in there. :sad1:

Here ya go ;)

I'm glad Poly is a small lightweight cat, she insists on climbing on the monitor and pawing the curser on the screen.

Got over excited and slipped, mage the monitor bounce a bit and the handset of the phone fell over-- she spooked and got down. Now she is pushing all my coke caps to the floor-- hey cut that out and play wiht your own toys!
:headache:

 :grouphug: I remember being freaked out and in shock. I just couldn't believe it was all happening and it was just awful and terrifying. I was also scared because the next day I had learned that one of my cousins (he worked for the Chicago Tribune at the time) had been sent with a Red Cross van to NY to take photos. One of my friends had also called me and she was freaking out as well.

I think your cat may be trying to steal your coke caps to redeem points for a new scratching post ;)

I need to find out when the nutcracker tickets will go on pre-sale at MIL work, DD and I go to it and then have dinner after...I look so forward to it.

I never will forget that day, I was in the hospital, I had a heart attack and they were testing...I was sitting in a wheel chair and saw a tv with pics...I ask what was happening and they would not tell me

Good lord, you've had a heart attack??? :scared1:
Oyyyy, no wonder they wouldn't tell you.

I was at work and my GF, who lived in Georgia at the time ,called to ask if I'd heard. It was somewhere between 6 and 6:30 AM and I was the only person in the office. I said, "No. Heard what?"

I thought at first it was just a tragic accident, but she was in near tears, and while we were on the phone the 2nd plane hit! I got chills, I just knew it meant something horrible. As people came in we turned on radios until someone brought in a TV and set it up in the conference room. People wandered in and out all day, and we were just numb.

After work I went to the daycare to pick up my baby, then sat down in front of the TV. I watched the news, nursed the baby, and hugged and rocked him while I cried. Good god, I haven't cried so much since I was little!

I was doing a Head Start home visit with my lead teacher. The mom of the family had limited english skills and the dad kept asking us over and over.. it fell? did it fall?

We couldn't figure out what was going on at that point, had been driving over to the family's house when the news broke.. no clue the significance of what happend.

The mom tried calling family that worked there.. not getting thru of course.

They were frantic and worried and my co -owkrer was pushing thru the papers to "get it done" .. part of me was like ummm we should reschedule because they are not going to remember eveything right now.

Just a few days later we had our open house, it was hard for some of our families .. we welcomed them all with open arms and reassured them this was a safe place.

Months later the next door high school had a bomb threat (obviously a prank call) but we had to evacuate.. our families from Bosnia were very upset.. hard to explain prank calls when they had just come to US to be safe.

too bad, she has a perfectly good one next to the window.

HMPH!

I cashed out a couple times in one month.. they had Subway GC's for awhile.. yeah! something I could actually use!

Cool! I just got my AP backstage pass newsletter in the mail. They said that now through Sept 27th AP holders can pay a shipping fee of $5 on disneyshopping.com. That's really cool. :yay:

:lmao: :rotfl: I just hope it doesn't make you go wee wee wee all the way home :rotfl2:
Ahhh, you know me well. :rotfl:

On the way home from the airport, I told DH we could stop at Starbucks if he wanted, because I had two treat receipts. He squeaked, "Two? In one day??? How did you get TWO?"

I said, "Well, first I bought a mocha. Then I remembered that we have no caffeinated coffee beans since you started drinking decaf, which I hate... So I bought half a pound of coffee. See? Two receipts!"

And do you think he stopped at Starbucks on the way home? NOT.
