I know it! I have an almost 13 year old who thinks I'm an idiot apparently!
Thanks, Imzadi
Hey, I have a question. And a comment. Question first. No. Comment first. What the heck was Trump thinking, claiming that Trace Adkins is a big country star because of [Trump]? Gag me, PLEASE! :rolleyes3:
I still say the party planner was part of a setup,
?
Oh, but surely you heard Annie name various famous people who are her friends? Many of those well-known people have a lot of money; it really can't be said she was at a disadvantage simply because she's not in the entertainment industry. Every time you turn around, "Oh, he's my friend". "We're friends". "We're good friends".
Just because Annie can call up friends and ask to support a cause, only confirms to me how important this charity is to her and how much she wants to help them.
Joan has been in the entertainment industry for gazillion years and is better known to the public in general than Annie. I had never heard of Annie, since I don't follow the poker "circles". Joan should have been able to raise more money hands down, yet Annie raised 4x more. Just because Annie can call up friends and ask to support a cause, only confirms to me how important this charity is to her and how much she wants to help them.
I'm glad Joan won. I couldn't stand Annie. I think a person can run a company without being pushy, rude and downright bossy like Annie was.
Except to me, her main motivation was not the charity, it was winning. I assume everyone was there with the hopes of winning, but I felt Annie called on her "friends" to help HER, not necesarrily the charity. Joan seemed very involved in her charity. Annie probably just picked one because she had to for the show.
Do you really think that Joan regularly delivers meals to homebound individuals? And did you see how completely out of place she looked all dressed to the nines while putting together the care packages?
I'm sure Joan has and will raise money for this charity before and after the show, but I really don't see her being personally involved.
Yes, I am sure Joan drives the van around, as well. By "involved" I mean that she puts more heart into her charity. Seemed like something she truly cared about. I didn't get that feeling with Annie.
Annie has apparently worked for her charity for years (with Don Cheadle) and hosts annual tournaments benefitting it.
The designer who quit was on Barbara Walters' radio show this morning and said that his rules as laid out by the show were that he could not provide ANY suggestions whatsoever -- it all had to come from the contestant. Annie had plenty of ideas. Joan did not.
"Joan and Melissa [Rivers] were completely incapable of giving me their insight on how the party should look. They had zero direction.... In 23 years of being in business, I have never left anyone, no matter how difficult they are to work with. Her behavior towards any human being was so unacceptable to me. [She's] such a monster I cannot begin to even explain."
Joan has been a member of the board at God's Love We Deliver for 15 years. I think it was very close to her heart and it shows. Annie may very well be involved in charities, but most likely to make herself look good.
It was all fixed to have Joan or Melissa win.
I agree. Donald wanted the old witch to win from the beginning.
Well it is what it is and Joan won, I also think Trump games are biase and really not on the up and up. Joan did give insight on how she wanted the room, he wanted the walls white and she wanted red and yellow...etc..
You can't really say anything about Joan calling someone during their mom's funeral because who answers the phone during that?????
None of these players really thrilled me even though I really did like Hersel Walker and thought he would pull it out. I do wonder why Jesse didn't try and raise any money at all, he really could have????
