The Celebrity Apprentice 2

I would much prefer Joan - you know where you stand with her, instead of Annie - she gives lip service, then talks trash when your back is turned.

I couldn't stand the relationship of Annie and Brande - I think Annie considered Brande her "do girl" - her body language and actions when Brande was in charge of a task showed that she felt Brande was a good helper, but she (Annie) was the star.

IMO, Brande should have been voted out a long time before she was sent packing, but Trump "liked" her. What is it with him and the Playboy models, the Porn star who played season, etc.? I guess they bring an audience.

Thanks, Imzadi :teeth:

Hey, I have a question. And a comment. Question first. No. Comment first. What the heck was Trump thinking, claiming that Trace Adkins is a big country star because of [Trump]? Gag me, PLEASE! :rolleyes3:

He said it in jest. I think everyone know Trace was pretty big star before Trump.

I'm glad Joan won. I couldn't stand Annie. I think a person can run a company without being pushy, rude and downright bossy like Annie was.

I didn't understand the party planners little pout fest. Joan was not happy with what they were giving her, and she told them so. She was not rude to them. (unless of course, the editors worked their magic). The montague of Annie telling everyone that Joan caused her team to lose the party planner was driving me insane.

I liked how Annie was trying to bash Joan to Tom...and he was defending Joan. Then Dennis announced he hoped Joan won. Ha ha ha...this was HER team.

I still say the party planner was part of a setup,

I do too. The mere fact that they would not go on camera to say what the problem was set it off for me. Annie kept saying it was Joan's fault, but that was never stated by anybody but Annie. Plus, anyone in the party planning industry would go out of their way to look good on TV. It would simply generate more business. Just all too fishy.

?

Oh, but surely you heard Annie name various famous people who are her friends? ;) Many of those well-known people have a lot of money; it really can't be said she was at a disadvantage simply because she's not in the entertainment industry. Every time you turn around, "Oh, he's my friend". "We're friends". "We're good friends".

Joan has been in the entertainment industry for gazillion years and is better known to the public in general than Annie. I had never heard of Annie, since I don't follow the poker "circles". Joan should have been able to raise more money hands down, yet Annie raised 4x more. Just because Annie can call up friends and ask to support a cause, only confirms to me how important this charity is to her and how much she wants to help them.

Except to me, her main motivation was not the charity, it was winning. I assume everyone was there with the hopes of winning, but I felt Annie called on her "friends" to help HER, not necesarrily the charity. Joan seemed very involved in her charity. Annie probably just picked one because she had to for the show.

Joan obviously knows people with deep pockets, just as most of the people on the show. She no doubt knows people of OLD money, too, who knows already the charities they deal with and have accountants and investment brokers to handle that. OLD money invests carefully and cannot just throw down a bunch of money on a whim for a girlfriend's dress like the nouveau riche gamblers that Annie runs with. They also wanted to seriously make a name for themselves and what better way to do it?

Two different types of people, doesn't make one better or worse than the other but just because you can slam bam your "friends" into donating money they probably made the night before doesn't make you a better player. It just makes you a player lucky enough to have "friends" who are willing to play with their money.

I just heard on The View, the designer will be on to defend himself (I think that's what they said)

So if you happen to see this...

Do you really think that Joan regularly delivers meals to homebound individuals? :rotfl: And did you see how completely out of place she looked all dressed to the nines while putting together the care packages? :lmao: I'm sure Joan has and will raise money for this charity before and after the show, but I really don't see her being personally involved.

Yes, I am sure Joan drives the van around, as well . By "involved" I mean that she puts more heart into her charity. Seemed like something she truly cared about. I didn't get that feeling with Annie.

Annie has apparently worked for her charity for years (with Don Cheadle) and hosts annual tournaments benefitting it.

The designer who quit was on Barbara Walters' radio show this morning and said that his rules as laid out by the show were that he could not provide ANY suggestions whatsoever -- it all had to come from the contestant. Annie had plenty of ideas. Joan did not.

"Joan and Melissa [Rivers] were completely incapable of giving me their insight on how the party should look. They had zero direction.... In 23 years of being in business, I have never left anyone, no matter how difficult they are to work with. Her behavior towards any human being was so unacceptable to me. [She's] such a monster I cannot begin to even explain."

Joan has been a member of the board at God's Love We Deliver for 15 years. I think it was very close to her heart and it shows. Annie may very well be involved in charities, but most likely to make herself look good:laughing:.

Annie was trying to say something along these lines but Joan interuppted her and lashed out at her as if she lied about abouteverything, While Trump didn't give Annie a chance to talk yet let Joan rant and rave.

It was all fixed to have Joan or Melissa win.

I have no doubt all these celebrities enjoy their charities but they can be so phony on how much they feel about them.
About 2 years ago Joan Rivers was on the Today Show with a charity that builds housing for the flood victims. She was so rude to the carpenters who were trying to show her what to do. Yet insisted that she do the same thing they were when camera was on her. She screamed that the show better be over soon because she didn't want to be there anymore.
I watched with some people and were surprised at her behavior.

I work at 30 Rock so I see some of the morning skits. It's very interesting to see how the celebrities act when the camera isn't on them

BTW Will Smith, nicest man!! He stayed outside until he shook everyone's hand that was out to him.

I agree. Donald wanted the old witch to win from the beginning.

Absolutely it was fixed. I also think Joan won simply because she knows more influential people in more industries than Annie. Joan could do a LOT of damage to many people's careers if she wanted to.

BTW, was anyone else horrified when Joan knowingly asked a friend for a favor while he was at him mom's funeral service? :scared1: I don't care whether he found it amusing or not, it just went to show that she doesn't give a rat's butt about anyone but herself. And I cannot believe how many times different people said what a wonderful role model she is? Really? Seriously? She's an ignorant, rude, crass, nasty old woman who should have been put in her place a long time ago.

Well it is what it is and Joan won, I also think Trump games are biase and really not on the up and up. Joan did give insight on how she wanted the room, he wanted the walls white and she wanted red and yellow...etc..

You can't really say anything about Joan calling someone during their mom's funeral because who answers the phone during that?????

None of these players really thrilled me even though I really did like Hersel Walker and thought he would pull it out. I do wonder why Jesse didn't try and raise any money at all, he really could have????

I think he should have done much more to raise money and if he wasn't going to than he shouldn't have accepted the offer of the show, but I'm also proud that he didn't cave to the pressure of calling his wife and her friends for money. If I heard one more time how he was married to Sandra Bullock, I might have screamed. He keeps his personal life and "show" life seperate and I admire that. Most of the players were more than willing to call their friends and pressure them for cash.
