The Castle's Mirror is up!

The Castle seems to have the mirror up that was more or less among the finishing touches (not completely done but that was among the last steps).

Okay....I *think* I like it. I definately like the gold on the spires and the characters, but I am not so sure about the mirror. It is certainly okay for temporary...I like the gold so much, though, it can stay forever!

Edited to add: Much better than the cake....much!

I think it'll be cool for the celebration, I just hope they don't leave it like that awful hand on SE or the Hat blocking the Theater in MGM.......

Hi!

Was down in December and saw the gold additions to the Castle. It really is neat and nothing at all like the Pepto Palace during the former celebration. My good friend who is a Cast Member sent some pictures from this past weekend, so I'll post a few if I can figure out how to...

I think it looks great and can't wait to see it in person. Of course I liked the cakestle back in '97 too.


We have plans to see both the WDW castle and the dL castle this year. Can't wait!

Miksad, I don't think and of the decorations were up at that time. Didn't they just start this project?

I'm not so sure about the mirror. For the celebration - great! Permanently, not so much. The gold decorations however, I like those! Are the characters up? I can't see them in the picture. I don't think that's such a bad idea either, but I'll see them in person this MAY!

The gold accents on the spires are a nice touch, but that mirror is way too big. I haven't been there for quite some time and I'm not sure if Cinderella still goes out onto the balcony periodically to wave at people. If she does, she'd better watch her head, or she's likely to knock herself out.

Also, it may be hard for people to see her under the mirror (it's a bit too distracting).

Well, I for one am skeptical about ANY changes done to the castle. BUT I really love all the gold accents, and the spiral accents. This is all being done to celebrate, and I am just thankful (no offense) that it isn't a huge birthday cake

There are some really good pictures of the castle transformation on Deb Wills website www.allearsnet.com. I love the way it is coming along, we should all enjoy it while it's here because you know we will all miss it when it is gone! I'm hoping the finishing touches are all done when I go in april!
