Then it was time for Playhouse Disney - Now this is on in our house daily and we all know all the actions and songs, so had a fabulous time. The only downside is that you need to sit on the floor- what on earth is that all about?? Yes it's aimed at toddlers, but are they going to go in there on their own?
Took time to take some nice pictures on the way out - in between very rude people pushing in.........
We were hungry and hot by now, so headed back to the hotel via McDonalds in the village - not great, review on the restaurant thread.
I took this photo on our way back to the hotel from McD's
We went into the hotel and all went for a swim. The pool in the HNY is very deep all the way round, I could just stand on my tip toes, but there are plenty of swimming aids for the kids. We got some arm bands for Lewis and a float. Again, it was lovely to swim outside and cool down. There are sunbeds around the pool, but all were taken - it was too hot for me anyway to sit out.
Back to the hotel room to shower and change, and feet up for a while. We had a booking at Cafe Mickey for 6.30 - but decided to change it to 7.15 so that we could see the parade at the Studios. We popped in on our way back to the Studios and the time was changed without a problem.
We were in the Studios for about 17.15 and had missed our fastpass time for TOT. Not to worry, still only on our second day, so plenty of time.
Mark and Abbey went on Aerosmith, showing a wait time of 15 minutes. John, Lewis and I went on the Cars ride. We all met up and watched the Disney Stars and Cars Parade which was good.
Then made our way to the shops and some trying on of hats was done....
And some pictures on the way out
Then we were off to the Village and some more photos outside Lewis' fav toy shop beside Cafe Mickey
And inside....
Then time for our long awaited meal at Cafe Mickey
I've put a review on the restaurant thread - here are some pictures again
We went back into the toy shop and got Lewis another gun he had been looking at (i know a bit of a worry this boy!!) and then back to the hotel. I put Lewis to bed and John, Mark and Abbey went to play tennis.
The kids then went to the Ben and Jerry's booth in front of the hotel to get some ice-cream and juice - then we all crashed out.
Coming up - Day 4
