My family and I did a whirlwind Broadway weekend recently and saw 3 shows in 36 hours. My dh had knee replacement surgery in December so we splurged and stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Time Square so he wouldn't have to do much walking. Started our marathon by seeing It's Only a Play with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. This is the show my husband wanted to see since he loves Nathan Lane, and he was wonderful. As JenM said up thread he sure is a showman! Then that evening we saw the show my daughter wanted to see -- Finding Neverland. She had seen it in Boston with Jeremy Jordan in the role that Matt Morrison is playing and wanted to see the difference. This ended up being the show I liked the best -- just wonderful music and a great story -- had to clap at the end to show I believe

.
On the following day, we ended our marathon by seeing Something Rotten. If you are at all a Broadway buff you will laugh your head off. There are so many references to other musicals it was hard to keep up with them. My husband says he wants to see it again just to see what else he might pick up. All three of us are huge Spamalot fans so we thuroughly enjoyed this one.
The next time we will be in the city it will be a belated Mother's Day gift from my daughter to me, and right now the plan is to just go to the TKTS booth and see what we can get. DD is going in at the end of June to see Hedwig with friends 'cause she is a huge Darren Criss fan.
