Oh I'm so bummedI hadn't even checked to see if it was going to be playing here. I just assumed since I had seen so many adds that it would be. That sucks, now I'll just have to buy it online.

I would get season tickets and audition for pretty much everything! What an AWESOME season!Oh man... the theatre company I act with just announced their 2015/16 season last night. Jesus Christ Superstar, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, All Shook Up, Jekyll and Hyde, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf and Mary Poppins!!!! ACK!!!! What a great season!! Now begins the official fretting and stressing over auditions. I have ALWAYS wanted to be in JC Superstar... fingers crossed. Heck... I love them all!! Wolf's Martha is my dream role but I am pretty sure that ain't gonna happen...They opened Forever Plaid last night... it was actually very good. Based on the CD I didn't think I was going to love it but it was well done! The four guys blended beautifully. Life would be so boring without theatre!

Oh we have season tickets alright!!! Our next show up is The Addams Family... that should be fun. We start rehearsal Feb 23... I'm Grandma Addams. I can't wait. I haven't done a show since last year when we did Company. Miss it big time!!!I would get season tickets and audition for pretty much everything! What an AWESOME season!
Has anyone seen the current Broadway production of Cabaret? A friend has tickets for this Saturday's matinee and invited DW and me after another couple had to cancel. I hear Emma Stone is starring. Seems like she'll make a good Sally Bowles.
We saw it in early 1999 with Natasha Richardson in the lead.
DD21 saw Emma Stone a few weeks ago. She said she was very good. Really enjoyed the production. Alan Cummings is fantastic, too.
Saw it last August with Michelle Williams. Loved him... her... not so much. Just wasn't my take on Sally Bowles. Loved Alan tho. Oh my goodness! Has anyone here read his autobiography? Just finished it and really enjoyed it... although enjoyed is a weird word to use to describe a book about child abuse. It was very engrossing. And made me love him even more...Saw it yesterday. Both Emma Stone and Alan Cummings were great. Emma's last performance was today. Sienna Miller takes over the role starting Tuesday.
We are going to see Jersey Boys tomorrow- at least it is not supposed to snow! My daughter is very excited that Darren Criss is going to be in Hedwig and the angry inch- she saw it when Neil Patrick Harris was in it but she wants to see Darren Criss in it, she has loved him since she saw him in A Very Potter Musical.
So jealous!!! Sounds like a fabulous night!!!Still on Cloud 9 after attending the Lincoln Center one night concert event of Jason Robert Brown's "Parade" last night!!!!! Words can not describe how wonderful it was!!! We are so proud of Jeremy Jordan - have been following his career for quite a while now. He did an excellent job! Laura Benanti was flawless, Joshua Henry brought down the house, Andy Mientus and Ramin Karimloo were terrific! The audience itself was filled with stars - it was so much fun to be among them! We had tremendous seats in the orchestra.
Funny point of the night was DH waiting in line for the men's room having a 15 minute conversation with Norm Lewis & Rob McClure!!! Norm actually remembered meeting him when we went to a recent concert with him & Sierra Boggess at DD's college! Both actors were very friendly with DH, including him throughout the conversation. So funny!

Have fun at Jersey Boys!
Oh, I am SO excited to see photos of Darren in Hedwig. He is going to look PHENOM and I'm sure he's going to act just as great. Glad to know your daughter's a fellow Starkid![]()
The King and I and On the 20th Century this week!! Can't wait! To quote a friend of ours, "Broadway, Here I Come"! ;-)
So has anyone here seen The Addams Family when it was on Broadway (or anywhere else for that matter)? Wondering what you thought. I am in rehearsals for it now and find it a quirky little show... dark yet quite funny. The music is decent... not super memorable though. I do love the opening number "When You're an Addams". Its lots of fun! And "Full Disclosure" is a hoot. I'm Grandma Addams so I get to pee myself. Always a good time...lol! Not sure what our audiences are going to think of it...

Please post your opinion for On the 20th Century. DW and I are going to see it in early April for her birthday.
Saw it on Broadway with Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane about six months into its run. We thought it was a good, enjoyable show, but not great. Definitely quirky and dark in spots. The actress who played Grandma was a hoot, and I'm sure you'll do just as well. Grandma had a great line which was directed at Pugsley. Something about if he'd stop texting and opened a book instead, he'd understand what she was talking about.

On the 20th Century was beyond wonderful!!! Kristin Chenoweth is a powerhouse. I adore her!!! Peter Gallagher was terrific, Andy Karl a hoot! The show was so much fun! Very madcap and silly. We laughed the whole time. It went by so quickly! We went strictly to see Kristin in person, but we needed up LOVING it!
The King and I was a different story the night before. :-(. Kelli O'Hara was wonderful. The theatre, set, costumes all beautiful. But the King's diction was terrible. Japanese is his native tongue, so that might have been the problem, but we were in the fourth row and could not understand him. Everyone during intermission was saying the same thing. We saw the first previews but it started at 8 pm and ended at 11:30 ! Way too long. Hopefully they can iron out some of these things, because the cast is very talented and the show is such a special one.
