"The Break Up" - did anyone see it yet?

DH & I just got back from seeing it and we thought it was hilarious!!! Vince Vaughn is a riot! Not to give to much away (regarding the ending), but I'm wondering if it will be a part 2???

I really enjoyed it. Vince Vaughn had said he didn't want a usual romantic comedy, he wanted something more realistic. I thought is was nice to see something different.

My boyfriend and I saw it this afternoon. We both tought it was funny and really good.

The ending was odd apparently they reshot that part again I wonder what the first ending was like!

I was wondering if maybe it ended right before the last scene that was added. I am looking forward to the DVD, hopefully it will tell what was different.

Usually, if a critic says it's bad, I end up loving it. Don't listen to them - they're a bunch of elitist snobs who hate everything that isn't somehow deemed intellectual. ;)
LOL! This is TOTALLY me!!!! :) I almost look for the bad reviews because I know I will love the movie :)

DBF and I saw it yesterday. I loved it, right up to the very end. Vaughn and Aniston were hysterical and I thought that the reasons they were fighting and the stuff they were doing to each other was dead on.

I'm still bitter over the ending though!

I saw it last night and I, too, thought the ending was not good at all. It just didn't make sense.

The rest of the movie was really funny. There were some very funny lines. I saw too much of myself in the nagging that Jennifer Aniston did :)

I liked it but hated the ending. It was more serious than I thought it would be. popcorn:: Just love Vince Vaughn! Jennifer Aniston's character was just so over the top naggy that I don't know how he put up with her for so long in the movie!

By the way- did I tell you I HATED the ending? :furious:

Saw it this afternoon with DSis. I really liked it, it was pretty funny though it certainly could have been better. Even after PMing you to find out the ending, I was let down. I didn't tell DSis the end and she looked at me and said "That's IT???"

Saw it today, ditto most of the same things everyone else said, the ending was odd, the serious moments went on for a bit two long, but that said, it was very realistic. It absolutely reminded me of a past relationship and is probably one of the best portrayals of the dynamic between men and women and the difference in how things are perceived in relationships.

I laughed, I cried, I appreciated my relationship with my sweet and thoughtful fiance even more.

I told you! I looked at my sister as well and said the same thing. I even sat through the entire credits hoping something else would happen. Ugh- just made me so annoyed!

The thing of it is- it was the first movie I had gone to see in over a year so I was sooo looking forward to it. Oh well- maybe Cars will be better next week!

I have a direct link, but didn't know if I could post it.

http://www.fandango.com/mastercard/

Thank you for the link....We used it tonight and saw the movie. I liked it but it wasnt what I expected at all and the ending is really strange.

Does Fandango offer these types of deals often? I have never seen a promotion like this before. I didnt see it advertised on the Fandango home page. Where did you find the promotion?

I just saw this today and omg, I laughed so much. My expectations were very low, but I think even if they were high it would have surpassed what I expected. there were one or two areas that seemed a little forced, but otherwise I thought it was great. definitely showed how petty and stupid things can spiral if you let them, and how dangerous a lack of communication can be.

As for the ending, I actually liked it. I think they laid it out there with the chicago metaphor. Or maybe its wishful thinking :)

Anymore of these special offers on any movies out lately? This was a great deal. I wonder how the OP heard about it?
