~The BOT Battalion~ BOTS On The Run

Howard - I haven't looked. When in MCM registration?

Mike~ I just checked and it is 86% FULL!!! :scared::scared1:

I just registered! Whew! I knew it opened on April 1 for non-military. If you are considering it, do it now baby, do it now!

Hey Everyone: I got 3 miles in on the TM yesterday. Boy, my motivation has been pretty low to run lately. I haven't heard anything about the Pittsburgh marathon waitlist, and I've pretty much given up hope on it. My next race I'm planning is the Muddy Buddy in Orlando on May 9th. Gotta run.

Colleen - :bday: Details please!! Have a blast with your sis:hug: Can you please make it warm up a bit before I get there on Monday:rolleyes1.

Jodi - Are you up for a Chi Running seminar taught by Danny Dreyer 5/22-5/25 at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MApopcorn::? I am considering it:cloud9: The website is kripalu.org.

Howard - Congrats on the MCM registration:yay:

Dave - Keep your sights on the Muddy Buddy and hopefully it'll all end up as it should be with Pittsburgh:goodvibes.

Ran this morning - a bit on the TM and a bit with Maggie:love:. She doesn't really like me on the TM so she'll do whatever destruction she can in order to pull me off it until I give up and take her outside:laughing:.

Have a great day guys:grouphug:

Hey guys,

Just a quick drive by. I ran 5 easy miles this AM for the first time since last Thursday. This is the first day without the need for pain killers hence the reason I decided to run. I can't say I didn't expect to be in pain which is why I scheduled this surgery for Friday which gave me 2.5 days to deal with the pain.

Lou

They just posted this on their website.

WAIT LIST
All Marathon events except for the PNC Kids Marathon are now full. Only those individuals on the Wait List who have already received notification that there is a spot available for them will still be admitted to the race.

Oh well, I never received an e-mail from the waitlist. I look at it this way. I just saved $100.

Happy Birthday, Colleen!
:bday: :drinking1 I hope you're celebrating in BIG, BIG style! party: :cake:

Dave:  Let's plan on Pgh next year, huh?

THANK YOU ALL for the birthday wishes!!!:grouphug:

I am home with a sick child this week and DH is out of town, but the good news is we should all be home and healthy for the weekend when my sister comes. The kids are very excited about seeing their cousin.

Debra, I hope I have a great party like you have in your post!! Those emoticons are having a grand time!

Dave, sorry about the Ptg marathon, like Mike said, there are tons of marathons that WISHers are running.

Dave: sorry about Pittsburgh, just spend the money on more stuff at Disney;) You'll have a good time at Muddy Buddy though. I think some nice spring weather will help in the motivation front too (at least I hope it will for me personally). Are you going on the podcast cruise in May?

Lou: Good to hear you were able to get some miles in and that the tooth is healing up.

Colleen: Happy belated birthday. I hope the kids feel better soon and that you have a great weekend.

As for me, we are headed to DC tomorrow to celebrate passover with friends then back home on Friday night to get ready for Easter at our place-- who needs to pick one religion?

As for races, we plan on Broad Street then the DL 1/2, after that who knows? I'd love a fall Disney race but don't know if it is really practical for us time and finance-wise. We will probably stay more local-- the PDR in Philia, maybe Baltimore with the Bots... then Goofy in Jan

Deal, I think I should register now. They'll have to work out the bugs this year anyhow.

Thanks Colleen- yeah, I'm over Pittsburgh now. I had built it up a little in my mind because it was always something I wanted to run when I lived there, and then I was envisioning having this "triumphant" return to my hometown now that I'm in shape and the marathon is back. Eh, whatever, I'll run it next year.

Jen- No, I'm not going on the podcast cruise. I soooooo wanted to, but I just couldn't afford it this year. I figured doing the Muddy Buddy was the next best thing, and I'll get to see some of the podcasters. Did you ever get in touch with anyone about the DL Half?

:car:Drive by

Off to run for the first time in about a week and a half. Between having Matt's brother here and working 13-14 hour days (not complaining - the more I work, the more secure my job is) I haven't had time for running or posting. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up this weekend.

Cindy, do I need to come down there and get you running again? Put me up at the Westin and I'll be down. ;)

crickets chirping.....

I'm here, Dave! I even ran today...6 miles :yay:. Other than that, there's not much goin' on in my world. YOU, on the other hand, are raising an awful lot of jing for your MuddyBuddy ! Nice Work! :thumbsup2

Hi Jodi, wow really nice job on your running. I haven't done more than 3 miles on a weekday in a long time. Well, since I got back from DC with Cindy and Matt. I'm really thankful for everyone that's donated to our site for Give Kids the World. There are really a lot of generous people out there. I never thought we would raise as much as we did so quickly.

Have a good weekend, and give my best to the Cloud.

Hey Dave - I'm here too. It's kind of quiet everywhere. I heard traffic was real bad heading to the shore last night so I imagine a lot of people took off today for the holiday weekend.

Jodi - Nice job getting in 6. Not sure what it's like in CT but it's gorgeous here.

Worked for a few hrs this AM and have to deal with taxes over the weekend. I am heading out for 7 miles now. Figure I'll enjoy the afternoon weather.

I see Goofy is open again. Makes sense, why limit the runners when you can make more money. It's not like there is more work for Disney to do other then count the extra $$$. How many people from this crew are doing Goofy 2010?

Morning Everyone: Getting ready to head out for my LR this morning. Have a great day to all.

Lou- How'd your 7 miler go? Hmmmmm, that goofy's kind of tempting. I don't know though...

The 7-miler was enjoyable. Was planning on a mini LR (8-10miles) this AM but it's raining out. May just bag the LR and just get ready for the Penn Distance Classic next week.
Have fun with your LR!

Lou

Good Morning Guys! (Dave & Lou):surfweb:

It's raining here, too, Lou, supposed to clear up in the afternoon, maybe I'll head out then. I forgot about your Penn Distance race next weekend. Definitely take it easy until then :thumbsup2. Nice jobe on that 7!

Dave - Let us know how that LR goes...definitely sign up for the Goofy!! Will you be shooting for a specific time in the Pitts half?
