what room were you in? I am looking for a room for 5 with and epcot view towards the middle of the inn. thanks

Whenever my family and I have arrived at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Wilderness Lodge and said to the Cast Member at the guard shack we were checking-in, then after looking up our name and etc they then gave us our parking pass. Anyway I am wondering will that also happen at the Boardwalk because I know it's a fair walk back to the parking lot, so if we can get our parking pass right away that would help.

Your parking pass is given to you up on the 4th floor when you check in

We are just getting back to Disney planning and I just have to say, I am in awe that this thread I started 8 freaking years ago is still around and active!

Happy travels.

The Boardwalk remains the best room we've ever stayed in!

From experience, you should get it at the guard shack. This is their protocol for all resort guests, and I doubt club level would be different/less convenient :confused3 You don't technically need your parking pass until you drive to a park, so if nothing else you could grab it at check-in and leave it with your park stuff :thumbsup2

Planning a trip to BWI for Christmas (and my 40th b-day celebration!)

I'm new to the BWI - previously stayed at GF - their rooms were sold out when I called with my Monster PIN so I booked standard room, club level here. I'm excited!!

Can you tell me what room area to request to stay away from the boat horn noise? Is club level all on 4th floor?

Mouseturtle-Way to go on picking a great CL resort! We love the BWI-CL:thumbsup2 The lounge is on the 4th Floor behind a key entry door. There are 3 rooms outside of the key entry door as well as some CL rooms on the 3rd floor. If you booked a standard room most likely you will get a garden view. If that is the case, I would ask for your room to face Paris. That way if you are not in the lounge during fireworks, you can see them from your balcony.

All CL rooms overlook the Boardwalk/Lagoon, so if you're trying to stay away from the 'boat noise' you may want to reconsider CL. We stayed CL and were right above Seashore Sweets. We noticed the boat horn the first day at about 7:00 (actually, only I did, the rest of my family didn't hear it at all.) For some reason, after that, I never heard it again. Must've been too tired from all that Disney walking and heat :thumbsup2

Mouseturtle-Agree with Nascargirl. You picked a great resort and I think you will be very happy with the convenience of being in the middle of everything. The staff is wonderful. I will say that when you close your door at night with a Boardwalk view the noise is very little. The Boardwalk view is great. Can't wait to be back in 11 days with Nascargirl and her DH :cool1:

Not all standard CL rooms face the boardwalk. I would guess that more have a garden view as the suites and deluxe CL rooms have boardwalk views leaving more standard rooms to have a garden view.

I was in a garden view room near the lounge and never heard any noise.

The first night I was in a room directly behind the ESPN club and while I worried about the noise from ESPN it was the road noise that woke me in the morning from a nearby service road.

I would request garden view away from ESPN.

I believe the only Club Level rooms that come with a view of the Boardwalk/Lagoon are the Deluxe Rooms and their various suites.

Actually there are regular rooms with a Boardwalk view as well. The deluxe rooms are just guaranteed a Boardwalk view because all 10 of them have it. We request a Boardwalk view every time we do not have a deluxe room, usually in the fall on my girl's trip. Just FYI.:goodvibes

There are some "standard" CL rooms that have BW view. Clare was in one.
I guess I should have said my previous reply another way. What I meant was that the only Club Level rooms that come with a guaranteed view of the Boardwalk/Lagoon are the Deluxe Rooms. I also know there are standard rooms Club Level rooms that also come with that view, but they need to be requested.

I think there might be a suite with a garden view room too. I was in a standard CL room with a garden view and the 2 doors next to me had the same room number so it must have been some sort of suite to have 2 doors.
