hmillerbarilla--We LOVE the Boardwalk!! You will have a blast. ESPN Club is a great place to have a fun meal. If you a looking for a snack and a drink get the nachos!! We get them for an appetizer and then I get the Dinger sandwich which is a boneless hotwing sandwich. It is good food with a fun atmosphere.:thumbsup2 Then we always spend time outside watching the entertainers and letting DD play a couple of games. Fun Fun Fun!! Enjoy!!

This sounds great. I'm really looking forward to it! I think late night nachos & drinks sounds perfect!popcorn::

BWI is awesome:cool1: You will have a blast. We have made BWI our home away from home so much that we visit 3x a year. We love staying CL because the CM make you feel special and part of their family.:rotfl2: The BWI has nightly entertainment, games, and Jelly Rolls. We are looking forward to our visit on May 19th. We are lucky enough that we are even hooking up with the previous poster SFBANK.:thumbsup2

I've heard Jelly Rolls is fun, I think I'll have to check it out!;)

Can I say this? I think the BoardWalk thread is so friendly! You all are full of great ideas and are very helpful. And, NICE! :lovestruc Thanks! I'm so excited to try a new resort... we've been stuck at CBR (which I love too) and I'm so ready for a change! Can't wait!!!!:hyper:

Can anyone tell me about the Boardwalk's business center? What computers are available for personal use? Is there a fee?
I had to print out something a few years ago, so headed down to the business/convention area of BW. I was charged $10 for an hour of computer/printer time.

Hi everyone!:wave2:

Can any of you tell me the comfort level of the sofa beds at the BWV? Just wondering since DISsis will be on the living room sofa and my DDprincess: will be on the Studio sofa of our 2 BD.

I didn't see a seperate Villa thread so thought you all might be able to help me out with the info. thanks!:goodvibes

I haven't stayed in them before so I can't answer your question but I would like to know the answer too, so I thought I would bump it up. We consider booking villas occaisionaly but have never done it because of not knowing how comfortable the sofa beds are. I'm not going to make my children sleep on anything that I wouldn't want to sleep on. Anyone that could answer I would appreciate it too.

Subscribing :cutie:

I booked the Boardwalk Jan 1-6. we needed a change from AKL, WL, BC and I think the rooms look so pretty in the photos.

I just booked a standard room, we are not doing concierge or anything this time - what view might I expect? Thanks for your help.

The sofa beds are fine. DS has spent many a night on the villa sofas and says they are comfortable.

Standard view will probably be the courtyard at the back of the resort. It is quiet and very pretty. You'll also have a view of some of the World Showcase buildings, usually the Eiffel tower and Morocco. You can often hear music as well.

We love BW!

That sounds pretty good! Standard is about 600.00 less than waterview, normally I pay for the better rooms/view but we plan to be in the parks with little time at the resort this trip.

We are staying in a garden suite, arriving this Sunday, and would love a rollaway bed for my younger son. We will only have a total of four in the room, this would just keep the kids apart :thumbsup2

We did exactly that last summer---garden suite with a rollaway for our family of four. The extra bathroom was priceless. We all loved the BWI garden suite but I did miss a special view--a little bit. DH and our DD loved all the extra space and changing areas in the suite rather than a deluxe room. We had a blast!!!:thumbsup2

Just booked a standard view for 1 night before checking into the CR. How is the daybed in the room? Do all rooms have 2 queens and daybed, or do I need to request it (we're a family of 5)? Where is the Boardwalk Bakery in relation to BWI? I am planning on going to pick up b'fast there the next am.

Thanks!

Hi Denise! My DD slept comfortably in the daybed. Since you are a family of 5 there shouldn't be an issue getting bedding for 5. When you go out the "back doors" of BWI go down the stairs and make a right. The bakery is a few stores down. You can also stop in the night before so you have the goodies in the am. That's what we do + there's no lines. What are your plans for the following morning? If it is to check in at CR first I would advise taking a taxi.

Thanks for the info. We won't arrive until 11pm or so. Will the Boardwalk Bakery still be open? Also, which entrance is closer to the BWI, Epcot or DHS? I have to go upgrade my ticket to an AP before checking in to the CR.. And we will have our car as we are driving down. Our plans for the next am are to sleep, grab b'fast, check into the CR, and head to the MK.

The International Gateway entrance should be the closest - they have ticket booths there that you can use to get your AP.

Hi, I have this question posted on the concierge information thread but have yet to get an answer, so I'm hoping someone here has the answer. I am staying at the Boardwalk in a deluxe concierge room for a girls only trip. We are looking forward to sitting on our balcony at night and having a few cocktails. If I email the concierge staff and ask them for Raspberry Stoli, Is that something they can get for me and have it in our room ahead of time? They do have my credit card on file. I'm just not sure if that is something they will do. Thanks for any information.

Thanks everyone for all of the info about this resort. We will be arriving in 5 days and are very excited instead of staying at the GF which also seems very nice! I think this will be a great stay! :)

Just wanted to let everyone on here know (because I don't want anyone to mis-interpret me) to ignore the "family-oriented" thing about the Grand Floridian. What I meant is that I chose the BWI because of the location!:goodvibes
