GOT RESSIE AT 9:06 at first she told me I didn't have ssr points had to get out my contract and give # then she found it I said I'm not hanging up. She said she was looking @ 2003 use year what a scare

Painless and to think I was so nervous being a first timer.

I waited until after 11:00 am to try calling, and after getting 3 busy signals using the 800 number, I got through. After all of the recorded messages, it was only a 5 minute wait and I got the three studios needed for our group of 10 for two nights before our cruise. We will be at SSR for two nights on 8/12 and 8/13/04!

I thought I would have to hold for a long time. It was a pleasant surprise to get through so fast.

And by the way, the confirmation numbers for each room were 6 and 5 digits apart (...3, ...9, ...4). So I guess they are busy!

Got my reservations too! 2 bedroom ...Oct. 11-18

I was really nervous and MS was so sweet!!! Even though she was laughing at me...LOL

I remembered to request non smoking, non handicap, (that's when she laughed at me...she said everyone calling for SSR was asking for non-handicap) higher floor near elevator...to which she replied...not sure how many floors there are and IF there are elevators!!

But she took my request anyhow LOL
I was so excited I forgot to request water view...can I call at a later time and do that??

I hope everyone is as Happy as I am right now!!!

We are going home for Halloween!

We bought SSR sight unseen, never even been to a DVC.

Going home 10/30 hopefully through 11/7 (NJ week!). 2 Bedroom villa.

I have to call later to get the rest of the week, but I thnk it should be fine.

How do I get the count down counter?

I can't wait to tell my kids!

Carol,

You can add to your requests at any time. If I were you, I do it sooner rather than later....no need to put it off and forget it!

BTW, you are up to about five requests there (NS, N H-C, upper floor, near elevator, water view).....that's an awful lot of requests. Just remember that they are prioritized by the room assigner in the order they are given to them. So water view would be your last priority unless you tell them otherwise.

I just don't want you setting yourself up for disappointment if your first trip "home" starts off as disappointing because you "only" got three of your five requests!

Woo Hoo... Got my dates too! I called in at about 9:10am, on the local #. The 800 number was busy for about 5 or 6 min, then tried the local. 3rd try I got thru, was on hold about 10-12 min. But the rest was pretty easy, even for a 1st timer. SSR studio, June 20-24 and OKW studio June 13-17, with a weekend visit to Universal. Can't wait to Go Home!

We got our reservations quickly and easily as well! Called the 800 # 10 or 12 times and got nothing but busy signals. Switched to the 407 number and got in on the 3rd try. Waited about 6 min for a human being.

SSR June 13-18th - 1 BR. I just requested non-smoking. I forgot to request anything else! Guess I will call them back shortly. I'm so excited...not only is this whole DVC purchase a surprise for the kids for Christmas, now we're going to be there for DDs 10th birthday!

FWIW, I checked to see if BCV had availability for our dates, and it did...but they said I couldn't book it til Feb 4th! Not sure what's up with that...something to do with the extra 2 month window that SSR owners are getting over other DVC members. She couldn't explain it very well.

Now to figure out the countdown timer...

A co-worker of mine did an add on there and was changing his ressie from VWL to SSR for this summer at the same time I go. I told him this afternoon he needed to do it in case they start booking up. He called and got right thru and no waitlist around 1:00.

kweaver and barryb- we'll be there at the same time! Be sure and have something lime green attached to you and maybe we'll bump into each other!

cbrothers- I put in the exact same requests as you! Like Granny said I don't expect to get all but really would like the non smoking, non handicapped (I did put that on the front of my list) but a girl can dream to be on a upper floor and near an elevator, that would be perfect! It won't bother me however if that doesn't happen all that matters is I'll be HOME!!

We did....we booked BCV 2BR for May 23 - 28th.
