The big G+ rides at HS gone by 1:07!

I noticed the lower waits as well. Maybe people scheduled their trips to avoid weekends (like us; we’re only doing Epcot).

I think stacking is still a thing, but you're probably limited to TSM at 1230 (it's still available most days lately) and something like ST or swirling saucers after that. These things can vary esp. if park opening time changes so I would check again the week before you go.
Edit: this is for someone who'd rather not invest much time in refreshing during the day.

If I could actually get 4 rides (7am, 10:30, TSM at 12:30 and Star Tours or Saucers at 2:30 I would consider that worth it. But some people are reporting there being no more rides after the 10:30 selection. That is my worry.

You might need to refresh a bunch to get some. It just depends on how much time you want to spend on your phone.

It seems that the best chance to get 3 high profile LLs is to get your 7AM LL with a window that opens before 10:30 (for an 8:30AM like happening right now). Easier said than done, especially if you want SDD. If you can get that early window then you can get LL#2 before the 10:30 rush and LL#3 before 12:30 rush. Maybe it makes sense to target a less high profile with LL#1 at 7AM (to get the earlier window) and focus on rope drop for those high profile rides like SDD or MFSR?

Good point. I'm not sure we even care that much about SDD, or could ride it at closing. If I skip it, what should be my order for booking? MFSR, then ToT, then RNR?

They were all gone but Star Tours and shows at HS by 1230 today. The three I managed to get were MMRR (325 return at 7am), RRC455 return at 1230pm), and Star Tours (555 return at 230pm). I'll never pay for G+ again.

Seems to bear out the suggestion that G+ works for medium days and nothing else. Too few rides on busy days, not needed on quiet ones if such a thing exists any more.

That is what I would do if I could not rope drop any of them.

Really going for my son to enjoy the SW rides, so hoping I can get RothR and MFSR at 7AM, and the rest is gravy.

Friday I will be booking for our evening at HS. Will do sdd first, then really hoping for a tot at 1030, or at least rnrc. I’m not too optimistic but I’ll try refreshing starting around 1030 and hope for one. I used 5 at MK from stacking Sunday, think I’ll be lucky to get 2 (maybe 3 with a lesser ride) Friday.

I think the 165 minute line for tower of terror tells you everything you need to know about HS today.

Yesterday was packed. We got to the park about 730 and went to sdd. Off that pretty quickly and decided on rnrc next. Toss up between that and tot but figured we’d do it since it was posted 5 minutes (took 10). Then waited about an hour for tot at 835.

By that time all rides were over and hour with the bigger ones an hour and a half or more. Even as2 and st were 60 minutes. Went to muppets and the line was almost backed out of the queue. We just hung out and waited for our 11 rotr. That was down so we sat around more until noon.

There were people everywhere and it was packed. The walkways were so crowded no matter where we were.

You should really be able to do this.

My advice: Turn off Wi-Fi and close all your browsers. If at 7 a.m. precisely you can't activate the ILL button or the system doesn't respond or you get kicked out at some point (I was kicked out while the payment was processing last week), DO NOT PANIC.

RotR may look like it's sold out at 7:01 but in fact they keep releasing times, usually from about 7:10 on, but this could vary. I found 7:17 to be a really great time to snag a desirable-for-me RotR time. Just stay on the app and keep refreshing and jump on it when times are released. If you miss something, keep at it. And you should have no problem with getting a G+ for MFSR, which is often available for several hours.

MTFBWY!

Thanks.

I would be surprised if there is less demand on the weekends.

The conspiracist in me says that they increased capacity on the weekends, limiting capacity during the week to save money. I don't ever remember lines like this except maybe Christmas.

My sense is that Disney is trying to even out demand across the board, so there isn't really a low-crowd time anymore. They're probably lowering capacity (hours, staffing) according to demand as well. That's going to be a shock to those used to going in Jan/Feb on weekdays. Flip side of that is previously high-crowd times (holidays, weekends) aren't as bad as they used to be. I was there over the holidays and was pleasantly surprised that crowds weren't overwhelming and we were able to get a good number of LL's.

Agree, but looking at the G+ availability (even Alien SS sold out at 1pm ??), maybe they are getting a bit to aggressive with the staffing cut-backs...

Feb 15 2021, no availability left by 1:07 for:
SDD
MF
RnR coaster
ToT
Mickey Minnie Railway (ILL)

If I were there now, paid for G+ and was only able to get 3 of the big rides (by booking at 7, 11, and 1) I’d be 😡

Disney needs to do something to fix this mess.

the standbys for all of those are 80 minutes or greater.

boy how I miss the old days of scheduling FPs (generally) when I wanted them, having it included in my highly priced ticket, and also being able to re-ride with FP at times!

I remember before Chapek, they cared about guest experience and studied how many “experiences” guests needed in order to want to come back. Something tells me that paying for G+ to skip the line on just a few rides that really need it ain’t it. At least not for my family.

this is the pits :(
We did not have a good experience with Genie and LL in October. Had a trip already scheduled with two other couples for eight days over New Years. NO ONE wishes to return. Getting up early to be online and being married to a phone is no vacation for us. And then to be closed out all the time = UGH!!!

I checked at 7:17 today and sure enough Rise was available and I refreshed for 3 minutes before I stopped and they were still popping up.

Tried for ToT at 10:30 this morning but gave up and at 10:35 was able to get RnRC. It took a bit of doing, but I think if I had gone for RnRC right away at 10:30 it would not have required a refresh frenzy.
