The big G+ rides at HS gone by 1:07!

hmm so if that happens am I best starting again and refreshing if the time isn’t suitable
If you are choosing for your 7am it seems more drop between 7:10-7:17. However, I’m not sure how this is for ROTR. Hopefully someone who has been tracking this more closely can help you.
Overall, it’s a gamble.

So far I've grabbed 5 ILL$ and that never happened to me. YMMV.

Hoe many were in your group and were you choosing afternoon times?

recall your recent post about utilizing G+ at DHS and having a great day with your group of 2.

What the times have never changed

Correct. I keep trying to include this any data points, but we may have just been lucky about crowd levels. My experiences are the first Fri/Sat in December and the first Fri/Sat in March.

Correct, just 2 people. Most recently we picked MFSR at 7am (9:25am return time), RD'd ToT & RnRC, then grabbed next LL after tapping into MFSR. Again, it was perhaps an atypical day as we were able to get SDD after that tap in at 9:40am (return time 7:25pm) and also able to get a RotR ILL when we changed our mind and decided around 9am to buy it. That doesn't sound like a typical day if parks are busier.

Feb 15 2021, no availability left by 1:07 for:
SDD
MF
RnR coaster
ToT
Mickey Minnie Railway (ILL)
This is it. This is the week that will serve as a barometer as we go into Spring Break season.

As of right now, on Monday 3/14 at 10:40 am, all of the rides listed in the OP are out of G+ LL reservations. HS opened at 8:30 am with a 8:00 early entry. Yikes. I can't wait to hear back from folks that are there right now as to how G+ worked for them, particularly at HS. Since this post was originally written, I have been following HS crowds pretty closely and, over the past few weeks, really started to come around to the possibility of trying a tap-and-go method at HS in April. But today shows me that is not a possibility. Today, if we had rope dropped HS, my family of five likely would have gotten one G+ at 7am and MAYBE another around 10 am if we were lucky enough to snag a G+ with an early return time. And that's it!!! We are screwed.

(I will say that I refreshed just before finishing up my post here and, at 10:47 am, a few rides do show up with later return times: MMRR (8:15), RNR (4:50), TOT (8:20) - but who knows if there are 5 for my family.)

I’m really curious about this weeks reports also.

I just took a look at MDE and at least at my time snap shot (10:56AM) I see an LL for RnR at 8PM, MMRR at 7:30PM, TSM at 6:20PM and ToT at 1:15PM. I know these can be elusive to actually grab but it seems maybe all is not lost.

I did this for RotR this past Tuesday. By the time I snagged Slinky (tech glitch) there was nothing left for RotR (at 7:01). At 7:17 a whole bunch of slots opened up. I got 2:55 (picked 2:30 originally). We were park hopping there from Epcot or else I could have gotten earlier (lots of morning times were showing available).

I think the 165 minute line for tower of terror tells you everything you need to know about HS today.

I presume it's still running only 1 side? When we RD'd DHS on 3/5, there was a 40 minute wait at 8:30am (we'd ridden RnRC first). But they were only operating 1 side.

I got rotr for 5 yesterday at about 8:40am by refreshing. I was pumped. Fit in with our plans and the end of the night Remy I got at exactly 8:30am. Today is an off day and back at it the next 3.

Today looks worse than yesterday. We are back at dhs Wednesday afternoon/evening and family's number one priority is mmrr and was going to go for it at 10:30am after going for sdd at 7:00 but now I am not sure if it will be there. May have to go for mmrr at 7:00 just to be sure which kinda sucks.

I have two suggestions (in addition to the standard refresh, refresh) if you want to take the chance.
1. I’ve noticed that they seem to add a bunch of new times 2 minutes after the next “booking window” (so, in your case 10:32). At 10:30 yesterday options were limited or quite late. At 10:32 things opened up considerably but did go fast.
2. If you can’t get MMRR then book TSM (it went down both times I had it and we received multiple experience passes)…obviously you have to pray it goes down so this is a Hail Mary.
Good luck 🤞

According to thrill data today here are when the following rides sold out. By this I mean there was continuous availability up until then.
  • MFSR 945 (also 10-10:15)
  • MMRR 1030
  • ToT 1025
  • RnRC 1030
  • TSM 1205
This shows the value of an early (pre1030) return time if you can get one, you are much more likely to get a desirable 2nd LL.

I say don't give up - even though I was the one saying nothing was available at 10:40 today. Here's MMRR data for the past 11 days from Thrill Data:
654210

How to read this (as now I'm obsessed with this site and check in constantly but it was new to me about a month ago! lol): Today, the 14th, you can see there are grey boxes at 10:35 and 10:40 but something pops up at 10:45, 10:55, 11:05, etc. No telling if you would get these, but you can see sporadic LLs come up today. It may be done for the day by now (1:15 pm) but I think you'd have a decent shot at 10:30.

Looking back a week, seems to be a fairly consistent drop with pre1030 return times between 720-725AM for MMRR and RnRC. So if want a pre1030 return time and don't get one at 7:00 it may pay to wait til 720-725. As long as you book by 830 it won't penalize you too much bc you can still get your 2nd LL at 1030.

OK, so stacking really isn't a thing anymore? From what you are saying is that for a 8:30 AM opening, the best you can do is a 7AM selection, and a 10:30 AM selection, and it's pretty much sold out at that point?

Also, why does availability seem to be better on the weekends??

I think stacking is still a thing, but you're probably limited to TSM at 1230 (it's still available most days lately) and something like ST or swirling saucers after that. These things can vary esp. if park opening time changes so I would check again the week before you go.
Edit: this is for someone who'd rather not invest much time in refreshing during the day.

I've noticed that too esp. Saturdays. My theory is that LL demand (not necessarily crowds) are less than expected, or that Disney simply inserts more LL availability in the system for some reason. Either way we can take advantage by going to the park those days. :)
