I've seen a few threads asking about what everybody's favorite or best movie was this year. I'm wondering, what is everybody's favorite bad movie of the year. This would be a movie that you know is bad, but enjoyed it anyway. For me, it was Year One with Jack Black and Michael Cera. I know the two of them play essentially the same character in every movie that they are in, but for some reason, I laughed the whole way through.

i thought The Box was pretty bad. i love James Marsden but halfway thru sitting in the theater watching the movie i almost fell asleep.

and The Fourth Kind wasn't really that great, either. espically after i learned that no....they DIDN'T use "acutal footage" those were also actors.

The worst movie of the year was Bruno, followed closely by Old Dogs.

I LOLed at both Bruno and Land of the Lost. Yes. They are both totally stupid and quite offensive. What can I say...I've got class.

Another vote for Bruno. I shut it off after 10 minutes. Such a disappointment after "Borat."

I think the OP is looking for Horrible movies you secretly LIKED...not the ones you really hated.

Bruno
Year One
Land of the Lost
and yeah, I'll toss a little love to New Moon. That movie was stupid, but compared to Twilight, it was Citizen Kane.

The only really bad movie I saw was "The Final Destination" and it was REALLY bad. But ds and I laughed all the way through it and had fun! Anything with blood and guts in 3D has to fun right? OK, now I am twisted LOL.

Aliens in the Attic was pretty bad but I admit I enjoyed it! Same with Alvin and the Chipmunks 2.

ETA I know this isn't what the OP asked...but one movie our whole family hated was Shorts.

For shame... I thoroughly enjoyed the bad movie "Shorts". From the opening staring contest on to the child describing his hillbilly teeth and more, I found the movie highly entertaining. Who can hate a movie where the monster is a giant piece of snot that wants to devourer all?

Okay, well I admit my boys and DH did laugh really hard at the snot monster part. :rotfl:

That's on my list too.

Angels and Demons is the only other one I can think of.

I know a lot of people hated it, but I enjoyed New Moon.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Definitely a stupid movie, but kept me entertained anyway.

I had expected to hate this movie as I generally don't like stupid comedy but I admit, I've got a thing for Paul Blart now.

I don't know if this would qualify as a "worst movie", but how about Zombieland? I love zombie movies and it takes a lot to satisfy me in that genre. This movie was freakin' awesome. Bill Murray...:lmao::rotfl2:

I should preface my response by stating that I've seen very few movies this year. However, my worst list is:

Rachel Getting Married
and Paranormal Activity.

:sad2:

The Ruins. It was on cable last night and DH and I watched it. It was sooooooooooooooooooooo bad, but I kind of liked it. The movie had such a "campy" feel and was kind of like a B rated horror flick.

I loved this movie. I just ordered it from Amazon two days ago. Apparently, the blu ray is an unrated version of the film with an alternate ending that is much darker than the theatrical version. I can't wait to see this version.

We added '500 days of Summer' to our Netflix list it was a 'top ten' movie of the year according to Entertainment magazine......

Not for us! we hated it
