The best time to go?

We want to go around Christmas time, when is the best time to go. I just want to see the decorations and enjoy the cooler weather. So when is the best time to go and where is the best place to stay (on site).

Anytime during the first three weeks of December is a good time to go. As far as the best place to stay, it depends on your budget. I really like the Contemporary (or any of the monorail resorts).

I would go the first week of December if given the choice. The kids are still in school so the crowds are low and the weather in early December is a bit nicer than late December. I lived in FL for two years and it is noticeably warmer in the evenings.

First or second week of December. Wilderness Lodge is our favorite Christmas season resort - it just seems more Christmas-y than the others, even though they are all nicely decorated.

I would avoid any of the values or mods that are hosting the pop warner football/cheerleader groups, however. They are not a problem in the parks (they are hardly in the parks at all, especially during the day), but they can be noisy and disruptive at the resorts. We had to call security three times last year. Never again. Find out where they are staying (it rotates) and then book somewhere else!

Anytime after Thanksgiving weekend through the first two weeks of December, but I think the sooner the better. Love the decorations and the weather.
