The best thing about the Pirates ride....

Is on a hot day..most of the line is indoors..in air-conditioned comfort. Alright, Alright..the ride itself is the coolest. But, the line part is a close 2nd. irate:

I also like the little drop "there be rough waters ahead"...

Or, perhaps the fact that it is the greatest theme park attraction ever conceived and built. Well, second best, the title goes to the original at Disneyland.

The Disneyland version of Pirates is much better, but I like them both anyway. And I agree, that nice cool queue is a Godsend on a hot summer day.

This has been my fav since I was a child, I love everything about it, the cool waiting area the short drop at the beginning, the "dead men tell no tales" and the whole ride, but the fact that there normally isnt a long wait is pretty good too.

I am shocked that no one has mentioned the dirty foot hairy leg pirate! he is one of my favorite parts of the ride!! ...that and just looking at the roof and seing the "clouds" actually roll by overhead

second the hairy leg and the song is the best for sticking pleasantly with you ( unlike the it's a small world song that just haunts you day and night over and over till you finally loose all sense of reason and scream make it stop makeit stopmakeitstop!!!!!!!!!!)

That would be great! Make that "short" drop into a "long" one like DL.

The last time I was there, my and my friends rode Pirates like 4 times in one trip. It is a great way to blow time before a fast pass.

I love the WDW version....The queue line (when its not crowded), The docking and the beginning of the ride.

But, DL version's beginning is so much better.....

Love the Disneyland version of this ride....but my favorite thing is the prisoner who is whistling at the dog to bring the keys to him, the way his cheeks puff--I don't know I just love that part!

My favorite thing about Pirates (besides the ride itself), is that we can go to WDW when it's really crowded, and still have no longer than a 5 minute wait! This is one of our favorite rides to go on when we're waiting for a fastpass time.

I can't think of anything but good things about Pirates!! Definitely the hairy leg and "Dead men tell no tales!". I also prefer the one at DL, but since WDW is my destination of choice, I am happy with the one they have.

Everything! Back in 1999, our favorite part was hearing my (then 5 yo) DS ask to ride "Pitrates of the Can 'O Beer" again!

How could I forget the hairy leg!!! I also forgot about that first room you enter with the two ships having a cannon fight, the music and the feeling of really being in the middle of the ocean

I love the part where the drunk pirate offers the cats some of his drink and how they are all puffed up and looking around. one of them looks exactly like my cat Kitty Lou. 'here kitty kitty'

and nothing beats the air conditioned line on a steamy summer night!

I love the shivering dog. Also the cannon fight. The whole thing to me just scream classic Disney!!
