I didn't do anything special for my actual birthday.
I don't have a facebook or close friends so nobody (okay except my bff) wished me a happy birthday..

It was my sick way of proving something to myself.

No one really remembers my birthday...

I went to the mall/movies with my Dad. And then my parents and I went out to dinner. And that was my 16th.

I did, however, get to go to New York [Drama study trip] from the 7-11, with my birthday the 12th, the Monday we returned to school from the trip.

Sooo.. that was kind of my gift (but I would have gone on that trip regardless of when my bday was).

Shrek, Billy Elliot, Next to Normal, God of Carnage, Wicked, and South Pacific.

All (except God of Carnage.. just wasn't funny if you're under 40) were AMAZING.

Shrek the Musical was awesome! Of COURSE, John Tartaglia came back 2 weeks AFTER I saw it

I have a love/hate relationship with NYC

I know that if I can't make it as an imagineer, I may end up bumming around on Broadway trying to work shows...
Or local theatre in SoCal...

But see I love NYC for vacations, and with a group of teens it was super fun.. but I don't know if I could live there.

Sutton killed, Chris Sieber was amazing, and Daniel Breaker was hilarious.

We didn't see Sutton (she was sick), but we were going to have a meet/greet with her afterwards (not my drama teacher, but the ex-drama teacher of our school still runs the NYC trip and she is good friends with Sutton and her family)


We did get to do a dance workshop with the dance captain of Shrek and an audition workshop with the guy who does "THE WIZARD WILL SEE YOU NOW!" on the Wicked soundtrack (he's currently in Mary Poppins, his mom came on the trip with us, she's also friends with the ex-drama teacher).

I remember like last year when I was looking at all the DISers birthdays and I saw we were the same day so I went on the Dear Teen Board and was all like 'hiiiii I don't really know you but we have the same birthday!' xD
