Sometimes with all the hustle and bustle at the parks, a gal (or guy!) needs to sit, relax, and do a little people watching. Where is your favorite spot?? Mine is the gardens in the UK at Epcot. I like to grab some chips and a beer...and just relax for a few minutes. I also really like the this little area in AK that looks onto the back of the Tree of Life. There are 2 benches there and it's a nice picture spot.

I know that spot at AK.

I know of two that I've used (one not really in a quiet area but nice, nonetheless).

1) The umbrella tables overlooking Cinderella's Castle (on the way to Tomorrowland Noodle Station)

2) The tables outside of Electric Umbrella and just sit and people watch and watch the fountain dance.

My daughter and I take mom back to the room for a nap, and we head over to Disney Quest for a few hours.
While she's amusing herself with all the games, I catch a quiet spot in the food court. The few times I've been it's virtualy deserted and very quiet.

Thanks for the tip! We'll be at Epcot all day on NYE and I was trying to find a spot we could relax in for a little bit.

Oh definitely try the gardens but avoid when the musical group is back there because it turns into a mad house. Also try the far right of France. There is a small court yard back there with benches and no one is ever there. You can grab a pastry and champagne and enjoy it back there :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I guess it depends - if I just want a little shade and quiet - The area near Dinosaur at AK (as you exit the gift shop, directly to your right) can be very quiet. Not a bad place to recharge for a few minutes.

If I want to be more in the people watching mode, then I would grab a desert from the cart outside Italy in the WS and take a seat in one of the benches along the lagoon. Great people watching, relaxing...and of course the snacks.

We like to find a quiet cocktail lounge or bar and have a drink and kick back.

We like the little bridge that runs beside the Odyssey building in Epcot. A couple of benches and the kids enjoyed watchung the ducks below while we chilled out on the bench with some popcorn. Very relaxing and rejuvenating!

While at MK when we are pooped we hop on the TTA and ride until we feel like getting off.

The Rose Garden at MK. It is to the right of the castle as you approach the castle.

EPCOT

Japan: Over by the Koi fish pond and garden.

France: As was suggested above, the little patio area to its right (as you're facing the pavilion, just before the bridge by international gateway).

England: Back by the Beatles stage and gardens. Many benches over there away from the crowds.

In general, in EPCOT there's a LOT of benches along the fence that surrounds the lagoon. Just sitting there, relaxing, looking over the water (with a cool beverage) and hearing the sounds around you, to me is such a great disney experience (if you want to just chill out).

MK- The TTA is the best to just relax and people watch and there's always a nice breeze. You also get to ride watch!
E- TONS of great places, but I'd have to say Germany with a pretzel and beer sitting on one of the benches over looking the lagoon
MGM- Sitting by Hollywood & Vine and watching the Public Works guys do their act
AK- Finding a bench by one of the little animal exhibits

I love to do this! In Frontierland, just before the walk-thru to Magic Carpets of Aladdin are some rocking chairs on a wooden deck. That's my absolute favorite spot-listening to the banjo music, the distant screams/splashes from Splash Mountain, the sounds of the Riverboat, the waterwheel on Tom Sawyer Island. Aaahh! But there's only a couple rocking chairs, so if they're taken (people don't take kindly about being shoved out of their rocking chairs), I'll go over to the ones outside LTT, in front of Tony's, by the Hall of Presidents. And if it's bad weather, another great, but little known spot, is the upstairs at Pinocchio's Village Haus. It's quiet up there, but you can look down on all the people. Last time I was there, I took off my shoes and socks, put my feet up on a chair, and sipped iced tea for a while. There's an outside deck up there, too, so next time I'm going to check out there-it looks like maybe you could watch the goings on in Fantasyland. In Epcot, I like to sit on a bench by Rose and Crown (it's usually shady) or over by Morocco to watch the crowds. In AK, I like any bench in the Oasis, or just sitting in front of Pizzafari. My favorite, quiet resting place, not for people watching, is across from Flights of Wonder. It used to be a boat dock, I think, but I love to sit at the tables, listen to the music, and just look at the Tree of Life.

MK-Lots of hidden places on Tom Sawyers Island. TTA.
Epcot- The Fountain View outside seating. In Italy there are Benches to the left of the the gift shops. Outside Teppanyaki on the 2nd floor. The seating outside Yakitori House. In back of the UK. All the way upstairs in the back of Canada.
AK-The seating area across the way from Tamu Tamu. Down near the old Discovery River Boat loading dock. Lots of hidden areas.
MGM-Brown Derby is usually quiet and cool. Backlot Express-huge and cool.
Resorts-Fort Wilderness-the whole palce is relaxing! Hammocks at any of the resorts (CSR, CR, CBR, etc.)

Go to Magic Kingdom, on the way to frontierland on the left are some coloniel looking shoppes, they are all connected with a christmas theme I think. If you walk through the shoppes to the back there is a great little shaded area that's never crowded and it has benches for relaxing.pixiedust:

Ya know what I just realized? By posting these to the world we're letting the word out and our spots won't be secluded anymore :rotfl: Oh what we do for our fellow Disers :)

I read through the other posts real quick, but I saw some of my favorite spots..

The rocking chairs in Fronteirland or on the porch of the store near the HM entrance. Only been across to Tom Sawyers Island once, but enjoyed sitting near the ice cream shop (Aunt Polly's?) in the rockers looking across to Liberty Sq as well.

TTA is a great place too - we will usually stay on for two round trips!

MGM -I love to pick a bench near Hollywood and Sunset and people watch.

EPCOT - there is an area across from Germany with lots of benches - it's in the shade for the most part.

AK - hmmmm - don't ever spend that much time there -so usually not relaxing when we do!
