The Best Pedometer/Fit Tracker on the Market is???

I have used pedometers that I had to clip to my waistband or pocket. They were bulky and I had to look at them to see the numbers as there was no interoperability with other devices. Now I have a Fitbit One. I can connect it to several online services as well as the Fitbit dashboard so I can see my progress on my computer and other devices. I can also enter other types of exercise than steps. I love it, and so does my diabetes educator who told me about it. I really am motivated to do more to meet and exceed my goals, and this is making a difference for my health. It clips to my clothing and is unobtrusive but works hard for me.

I have used a Fitbit Zip for about a year and love it. It syncs up with your phone automatically so makes tracking easy and now that they have the higher models like the One and Flex the Zip is quite inexpensive. I have seen them on Amazon for $40-$50. If you are not looking for sleep tracking, which the more expensive units say they do, the Zip is what I would choose.

I have a Garmin VivoFit and I like it. I did research and it was the best rated for step accuracy.

I just ordered the Jawbone Up3, but have not gotten it yet, so can't say for sure.

The "best" one depends a lot on what your goal is. Just step tracking? Heart rate monitoring? Sleep monitor?

I admit, I'm a bit wary about my choice, the Jawbone Up3 has gotten 2 bad reviews this week, but taking those reviews into account, I still think I made the right choice for me. It's possible I"ll end up thinking the 3 was not worth the extra money, and I should have just gotten the 2, but I really want the resting heart rate, and am optimistic that Jawbone will eventually update the band to take advantage of some of the other data it can gather.

what really set the Jawbone apart, for me, is the rave reviews it's software/app get.

I had the Fitbit Zip for almost a year until I lost it. I replaced it with the Jawbone Up Move which I have had for about a week.

I heard good things about the Up Move and the Jawbone app. The Up Move also tracks sleep. So far I like it better than the Zip, especially the app. I do miss the display on the Zip which showed steps, mileage, calories, and the time.

Both can be found for around $40-$50.
