Forgot, I don't have the Internet on the weekends. Anyway...
Day 3 - Fanfare please...Magic Kingdom day (in the daylight). I just love the Magic Kingdom. We went ahead and did EE and were glad we did because we were through riding everything we wanted to ride by 10:00 and for the first time, we were seeing a bit of a crowd. Peter Pan was every bit as great as I remembered. You wonder if you can still love something like that after 20 years, but it was still "cool". We rode everything we didn't get to on e-ride except things that went round and round at a high rate of speed. Still had problems from the previous day. My DH decided he wanted to ride It's a Small World... and so we did. I taped the whole thing with a commentary so we could remember such a lovely 10-15 minutes.
We ate lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern where according to the CM, they still serve the clam chowder my parents loved 20 years ago. The food was really good and again, couldn't eat it all. We hit the shops and took a bunch of pictures and video.
In a shopping frame of mind, we went to Downtown Disney that afternoon. Oh, I love that place!! World of Disney was fabulous as was Pooh Corner. I had been looking for that "special" something that I wouldn't mind spending a little more $$$ on to remember this trip and I wound up with the biggest Eeyore I could find. Here I thought it would be a signed print or a cel or something, but no, it was a huge Eeyore that took up half the backseat. He looked like a child looking out the window.
We went back to MK for dinner at Cindy's and got a real scare because the park was closing at 7:00 and our PS was for 7:15. The monorail operators didn't know anything and we were afraid that we or Disney Travel had screwed up. But we got to the gate and the CM let us through the gate. Dinner was magnificent. Prime rib and potatoes, salad, it was so good. And our waiter was a hoot. His name was CJ. We met Cindy and got pictures with her. But the best part was when we left the castle because by then it was dark and there was absolutely nobody in the park other than those eating in the castle. We just stood there and took pictures of the castle in its purple and blue glory and just enjoyed spending our last few moments in the MK by ourselves. It was the best.
We got back and got ready to pack. I was pretty sad already.
Last installment tomorrow...for real.
