I am a Jerzy girlie and just *JUMP* at the chance to get this southern breakfast meal anytime I can get it. Any tips for the best spot at WDW for it?

I had really great biscuits & gravy at the breakfast buffet at Maya Grill at Coronado Springs. I'm a Southern girl - born & bred - so I know good gravy. Very few restaurants have good gravy. I'm sorry, but I must disagree about Cracker Barrel. I know they promote themselves as having country cooking, but I had their gravy recently. It was more like white, flavorless Jello. It was really gross. At Maya Grill, the gravy had sausage pieces in it and was creamy without being so Jello-like it could stand up on its own!

They also serve biscuits & gravy at one of the stations in the Pepper Market at CSR. I didn't eat there, though, so I cannot attest to the authenticity.

My wife's a Southern girl as well, and heartily recommends Boatwrights. She also feels she makes far better sausage gravy than Cracker Barrel, but Cracker Barrel has the advantage of someone else doing all the work!

We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy at the breakfast buffet and Trails End at Fort Wilderness. I'm not sure where you are staying or if you have a car, but you can always take the boat over from the MK. We try to get over to Fort Wilderness once a trip to get in either breakfast or dinner, walk around checking out the flora and fauna, LOL, and to go visit the Disney horses in the stable. OT, but man are those horses huge!! :teeth: Also, you can't beat the price!

OH just come over my house on Sunday morning and I will make ya some for free... :cool1:

This is my 5 yr old DD's FAVORITE breakfast..by far!!!

Trails End is the best on property. On your way down look for a Bojangles and stop in. There's is the best for a Fast Food chain.

Off property I think Bob Evans Restaurants have very good sausage gravy and biscuits. Has anyone tried the gravy and biscuits at the Sunday Gospel Brunch at the HOB in DTD? How about he gravy and biscuits at the WCC at the WL?

I thought the b&g at Mara was pretty good too, but as with any buffet, when the gravy does not stay hot it begins to congeal and .... :bitelip:

please don't go to the cracker barrel. i worked in one of them for 3 years. i opened the store... and i don't know if i could recommend the sawmill gravy and biscuits... just a note from behind the scenes

Well, I think we have tried just about every breakfast on WDW property in our 20 visits. Our opinion on biscuits and gravy:

Best--1900 Park Faire
Most exotic variation--Boma (very delicious!)
Worst--Donald's Breakfastasaurus (loved the rest of the breakfast, though)
Honorable mention--Trail's End

Can't believe all the times we've had Boatwright's for breakfast that we haven't ordered their biscuits and gravy. Sounds like a good enough reason to plan the next trip... :teeth:

The biscuits and gravy at the Whispering Canyon Cafe are the reason we keep going back for the skillet breakfast. I just think they're so good. I can't explain why.

AMEN on the bojangles, I'm a southern girl, but the Army has moved us to CO, and I miss bojangles :( my belly doesn't miss it, but my tastebuds do! Hardees does pretty good with the biscuits and gravy too, again thats a fast food chain.

I like Trals End at FW. They have a very good Buffet and you cam't beat the price. Best all around WDW IMHO

Cracker Barrell makes two types of gravy...the flavorless one you are referring to and then their sausage gravy. Cracker barrell makes a wonderful breakfast, including the biscuits and gravy (order the sausage one though)

The biscuits and gravy at the Grand Floridian Cafe were quite good, delicious in fact!!

I mentioned that I thought the best biscuits and gravy were at 1900 Park Faire. I wonder if that restaurant and the Grand Floridian Cafe offer the same ones????

I'm taking notes for my trip at the end of the month. I enjoyed the Biscuits and Gravy at the Grand Floridian. Think we may try Whispering Canyon or the Trails End this trip.

:cool1: Really jonesin for the Biscuits and Gravy since my last trip in December was with my non breakfasting sister.

Nothing like Southern Biscuits and Gravy. Just not the same here in PA.
Can't wait :woohoo: :yay:
