The Bed Thread: Please post if you stayed recently and what pullout bed you had....

In studios:
6/06 BWV & 10/06 BCV - both old style
6/07 VWL - still not replaced - lumpy w/bar

We stayed in a 2 br at VWL June 9-16 and both sofas had the old BATB style (Bar across the back). I was very surprised because the sofa in the living room seemed VERY new, no wear and tear to be found.

Anyone have a little inside info on 'Couch Gate' like when the new ones come into VWL?

I agree. The responses are a little dissappointing. We will be at BCV in a studio in August and I had really hoped DS(14) would get to sleep on the new sofa beds. Last year in our 1 bedroom, he did not enjoy the sofa bed very much.

It almost sounds like hit and miss although I thought DVC said they would all be replaced by now!

2BR BWV - #1125,27 both pull-outs were the new style and got rave reviews

I was mildly amused by the laminated set of directions left beside the couch to instruct the user on how to open the thing. DW actually called "Mousekeeping" for pillows because she didn't realize they were inside the bed!

Can anyone get a little inside info on this topic? You guys would come up with a hard date and opening price per point on the Contemporary first. Has anyone had the new pullout at the VWL yet?

Just returned from BCV and rooms #323 (2BD/2Q) and #321,#325(Studios)
all had the newest NRCPS style sofa beds.

I did receive post guest survey for WL stay; expressed our overall joyful experience , except for the sofabed.

Requested to be contacted as to anticipated replacement date in comment section, wonder if they'll give me a holler back?

the studio I got at BWV had NRCPS style - I think.

first time I have ever seem instruction on how to use the sleeper sofa on the sofa itself.

Pullout had the bar

All of our past trips to OKW we were lucky enough to get the new pullouts

In June we were in BCV studio with

The newest NRCPS style (Non Removable Cushion Pillow Storage).

I opened it up just to try it, and it seemed to be comfortable.

Just got back from VWL. We had the old style with the bar across. The mattress was also slanted so that whoever slept there had to sleep with their head slightly elevated. My 6 yr old and 8 yr old slept on it with no problems, but I know it wouldn't have been comfortable for me.
