Ok, weird weekend diet/exercise-wise, but much fun. Friday night was spent preparing for the garbage, uh, i mean garage sale. Quick dinner of canned Nalley's stew with corn added, and celery sticks with southwest ranch dip. I skipped my usual piece(s) of bread with it, not bad, neg was the potatoes in the stew, not too many of them.
Saturday got up early, helped set up the sale, then took off for the Uintas. Filled up with gas, bought a couple of little bfast egg rollups and a 32oz lemonade. Settled on the lemonade as my road trip drink, non-carbonated and decaf, but high carbs, oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad i guess. Had a great drive, jammed to some rockin' tune. Even got thru most of disc 1 of my new book-on-cd, A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. I read it several years ago, but its been long enough to be pretty fresh again, and the narration is top-notch! the 4th book in the series is finally coming out in November, gotta re-read the 1st 3 to be ready. On the way I drove past the Heber City airport and they were having an airshow. Just as I passed a shiny silver B-24 was landing, coming towards me. That was very cool! Arrived at the pickup location, 2 other vehicles were there for the pickup, and the 1st batch of maniac hikers were already there, seems they ran the whole last day. The rest trickled in over the next hour, until it was only Andrew and the scoutmaster that hadn't arrived. They had walkie-talkies and were communicating, so we weren't worried, but I was feeling bad for him. It was his 1st time, and he is a little heavy, big boy. They said he did ok, but was at the back of the pack all the time. I walked up the trail about 1/2 mile to meet him and the leader, he was just trudging along, very tired and dirty. I offered to take his pack in for him, he said no and just kept going. The GPS said they did 54 miles total!! He's pretty much recovered now, had 30 or 40 mosquito bites on his back from taking a nap, said the sweat kept washing off the repellant. So, we walked on down to the end, everyone cheered! Choked me up a little. One of the parents had brought a big pot of sloppy joe meat and nice white buns (dang). I should have just had some of the meat with a spoon but i went ahead and had one. Had a few chips and 2 cans of decaf soda. Bought a big stick of jerky on the way home. Got home and helped clean up the yard sale. It was fairly successful, 1st time we've ever done it. We immediately went and blew our wad on dinner, mostly to celebrate Andrew's accomplishments. Went to APPLEBEE'S

I had my Santa Fe Chicken Salad, my all time favorite salad. That would have been fine, but I was hungry and ate some of the kid's fries too. Water to drink. Then kids wanted ice cream on the way home, so add an ice cream cone to the day.
Sunday was also much fun, got the chance to sing Battle Hymn of the Republic twice in 2 different church services. This was the same arrangement that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings. My mom's side of the family is very musical, with my grandma, 1 aunt and 3 uncles having been members of the Tab Choir as its called, and a cousin in it now. I also had an uncle on my dad's side in it long ago, so the onus is upon me. It been one of my dreams to join it, but the biggest impediment has been my size. Previously the largest jacket size they had was a 48. I'm currently wearing a 60, or at least I was, haven't tried it on since I started losing. My cousin said 2 good things, she said the person that was the stickler for size is no longer with the Choir, and that the audition process is starting now! I'm debating whether to try and start now, or wait a year. I'm totally believing that I'm gonna lose lots of weight in the next year, and I would like to be much smaller if I get in. I've sat in the choir seats at both the Tabernacle and the new Conference Center here in SLC, and its a pretty tight fit. The audition process takes a few months, but Christmas trips to WDW are out for members of the Choir, its their busiest month! Hmmmmmm...
So, anyway, had a great time singing, and didn't eat anything until 3 pm, just wasn't convenient. Ate a big C-store burrito just to hold me off, then went to cousin's house for dinner at about 5:30. Good food, had roast beef, salad, veggies with dip, watermelon and cantelope chunks, but also had mashed potatoes and 2 dinner rolls. Good thing again was that we were done eating early, only thing I had from then on was a single pop-sicle ice cream thing later on last night. Got our butts up and out walking late, skipped too many days of that last week.
Maybe its because of not eating late, but scale like me today, said 380.5!! Had a bowl of cheerios with honey and 1% milk, and 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with country crock and honey, not a low carb bfast by any stretch. Will try harder the rest of the day. I'm thirsty, better fill up my watah!
Have a good day, ya'all!!

Its gonna be a hot one!
