We returned last night from a 4 night stay at the Beach Club. It was the first time we had ever stayed there, and I was a little apprehensive about staying at the BC because I feared transportation issues. I am happy to say that we absolutely loved loved loved the Beach Club. We had no transportation issues. We never waited more than about 5 minutes for a bus. The boats ran smoothly to MGM and the walk to Epcot was really fast and short. The resort was beautiful and alive with all kinds of action. Everyday you could find Lilo and Stitch dancing in the lobby with the kids. The pool was hopping day and night. They showed movies on the beach and roasted marshmellows and you could watch illuminations to your left. It was great!! We don't have any children yet but if we did, I would definately stay here. We've stayed several times at the WL and a lot of times at the Polynesian in the past- the last time being in Oct. of last year. We love both those resorts but I have to say the BC is now my new favorite. I can't say it enough but everything about that place was great!

:woohoo: I'm happy to hear this. We just made a ressie there and I came over here to look for info. This was the top post- now I'm even more exited. Can't wait to play in Stormalong Bay. What was the campfire like? Cartoons or childrens movies? Did you bring your own snacks? Did you put in any room requests or have any recommendations? We like to be near to food area to work out our refillable mugs that we purchase upon arrival at the hotel, but being near pool area is not important. Thanks for any info and I'm glad you had such a wonderful trip.

glad you had such a nice trip! bc is one of our favorite places to stay too. while we were there i kept thinking.."how can people complain about this resort, it is so nice!"

So glad you enjoyed. We have similar feelings about the BC. It is our favorite resort -- we just love the atmosphere and endless options of things to do.

YEA!!! I'm so glad you liked it! I'm booked there for the first time next year. I was hoping for the Poly but couldn't get a decent rate with AAA but they had the Beach Club available! The more I read about the Beach Club the more excited I get.

Glad you had a great stay! YC/BC is a very fine resort. One of our favorites for sure!

Youarehere, the only major room request I would think to make for the BC would be for a full balcony, since some rooms just have a stand up one.

We stayed there 8/19 to 8/25 and also LOVED it...so glad you had a good time.

We were at BCV at the same time and adored it! Perfect for kids. We did YC pre-kids which is more adult feeling and BC just seems so kid friendly! I love SAB

I am sooo excited we choose BC for our 1st Family WDW vacation and we cant wait!!!!!!!!!! and I was a little nervous as I have heard some horror stories but looking forward to it now.... and excited to see it.. and I Ijust cant wait!!!!!! :cool1: :yay:

:confused3 IF WE ARE STAYING AT ANOTHER RESORT COULD WE GO TO SEE THE MOVIES ON THE BEACH?

Glad you had a great trip...We're staying at the Beach Club for our trip in November....CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Dec stay coming up! We just can't wait! To the Op, did you have a villa or a hotel room?

Glad you liked it! It's our favorite too! (Can you guess?)

I'm especially glad to hear you had no tranportation problems. Several years ago the Epcot resorts had bus issues because of sharing buses between two or more resorts. After an initial bad experience we avoided the buses altogether for a couple years. In 2005 and 2006 we used a couple buses and had no problems.

To answer some of the questions, we did have a hotel room not a villa. We had booked a standard view and requested that we be near the pool. I was very happy with our room. We were near the pool and had a great view of the Epcot ball. Our room was extremely clean and was ready upon check-in (approximately 1:45 pm). This was one time we did not buy the refillable mugs since we had free dining and used our snack credits for drinks. After hours, we were told that we could purchase drinks in the vending machine over in the Villas if we didn't want to order them through room service. There's no way, I'm going to pay for a tip and delivery fee just for a drink so we did walk over to the Villas one night. It's so short a walk to the Villas that I hate to even classify it as one! ;) Keep that in mind incase you get thirsty after everything closes. My husband watched Cars on the beach and Lilo and Stitch was the other movie they showed. We did not bring any snacks to the campfire but kids and adults alike were roasting marshmellows and as far as I know it was open to everyone. SB, however, is only open to YC/BC guest. We were required to show our room key to get bands for the pool. Yes, the pool is as great if not better than what you've heard. Personally, I enjoyed the pool area at the BC better than I did Atlantis on Paradise Island. The BC staff had that Disney magic that can make your stay extra special. When we were checking in, I was told Mickey had just called and they had been expecting us. In case you can't tell, I thought the BC was absolutely magical and can't wait to go back. I'm like the OP, I have no idea why people complain about it. If there are any other questions, I'll do my best to anwser them. :)

Were set for Spring Break. :thumbsup2
