The BALD and the BEAUTIFUL take a road trip to see THE mouse **FINISHED**

Thanks for showing the inside of the Jelly Belly Factory! I've heard about it but we've never been. Glad to know we're not misisng much. Unlike Legoland which I had heard of but thought would be lame until I actually DID go and loved it!

I checked the jelly belly website and I didn't even see the Harry Potter gift box. I saw it at an online candy wherehouse type store and it was out of stock :( I just LOVE those Harry Potter Jelly Belly's. So much fun!

Great Food Porn.... thanks!

Melissa

Mmmmmm, Jelly Belly jellybeans!! That's my favorite candy, I'd have been in big trouble in that store!

Glad to hear you were able to get your windshield fixed!

I apologize that I haven’t been keeping up with this “LIVE” TR like I had planned. :rolleyes1 I’ve just been so busy, busy, busy and my free time has been very limited.

I’m probably going to wait until I get back to continue on. I hope you all understand.

I will however update you with some fun information on each day, when possible….. (( Just to tide you over for a bit! ))

I can’t wait to share all my photos and details with you all when I return! :woohoo:

Don't apologize! I'm looking on the bright side...you're enjoying yourself and spending your time on vacation being ON VACATION. :woohoo:

I'm happy you've decided to wait .. PROVIDED You are taking copious notes. :thumbsup2

Loving your TR,

Hi, great update!

The Jelly Belly store is so cute. I love it. Sorry the tour wasn't as entertaining as you'd hoped. I am drooling over all those cute chocolate Halloween pumpkins and witches. Also the appetizers from Hard Rock. I love appetizers. Yummmm.

I'm glad your windshield was able to be fixed. Can't wait to hear more. :surfweb:
I thought of you when I saw those chocolate witches and pumpkins. They really have a bunch of great halloween stuff out here.. I'll take lots of pictures for you.

Always like reading about road trips. Yours sounds fun. Ours are not so much. DH drives to were we need to go and thats it. (He is a truck driver so I think that is a big part of it). We just got back from WDW. We were able to stay away from fast food. Like you we don't do fast food very often. I had bags full of food so only had to make one stop a day for food. But my kids are teens and are use to only one big meal a day and then snacks the rest. Safe driving today and can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.
Thank you!! It's getting hard to stay away from the fast food now, it's just so simple, fast, and cheap... Unfortunately it's gross and horrible on my arteries. LOL! I wish we had a microwave here in the room, it would make the effort so much easier. When we were in Orlando last year our room had a full kitchen so it was simple to get anything and everything we needed for most of our meals.

Thanks for reading darling.... Stick around for more!

It's strangely exciting to see someone else's trip report from Sacramento...:confused3

I'm beginning to think I'm the only person that has never done the Jelly Belly tour, somehow I missed out on that field trip in school, and now that I see those hats, I don't think I mind. :rotfl:

It looks like you all are having a great time so far!

I've been to that Hard Rock! I feel the need to apologize for that mall though, unless they've done some major renovation in the past year...which I doubt they have!

I'm happy you were able to get your windshield fixed! :goodvibes

Can't wait to read about the next part of your trip!!!

In my honest opionion I don't think you're missing much by not seeing the tour. But it was a nice way to spend an hour or so, plus it was free.

That Hard Rock was really small, but really nice. And the mall wasn't so bad. I've been to worse. ;) I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Old Town Sacramento though. Everytime I visit my DAD I have to take a stroll down there. Last time we went was during the Jazz festival and it was a blast! Unfortuately I didn't get any photos from Old Town because my battery died.:sad2:

I’m probably going to wait until I get back to continue on. I hope you all understand.
Oh my, don't be silly!!! Enjoy your vacation and do not worry about posting at all. We can wait until you get back. Have fun!!!!

September 21st day 5
SOMETHING NEW I LEARNED: The drive between Santa Barbara and Anaheim is truly terrifying, no matter the time of day.
The coast is so gorgeous. I could never tire of looking at it. And the drive from Santa Barbara to Anaheim is hideous.

September 22nd Day 6

SOMETHING NEW I LEARNED: The extra cost to upgrade to concierge at the Anabella is not worth it. ((Still a nice hotel though))
Ah well, that's too bad. Live and learn right?

I thought of you when I saw those chocolate witches and pumpkins. They really have a bunch of great halloween stuff out here.. I'll take lots of pictures for you.
:yay: :cheer2: :woohoo:  :cool1: Thank you! I cannot wait to see them!!! :flower3:

I've done the L.A. to Santa Barbara drive (and even on to Solvang) for years. I leave early on a weekend morning, so it's about as non-horrific as driving in So. Ca. can be. However, driving back down in the evening, especially on Sunday, is similar to what you faced, but you get used to it.

Did you do all of your posting from hotel rooms or did you have internet access elsewhere?

Isn't that drive wonderful! Your beautiful photo makes me think of my own trip! I loved that drive between Monterey and Big Sur :cloud9:

Don't worry about not doing the live TR - I could barely keep up with my notes, I know I wouldn't have been able to find time to write a trippee while still on vacation! Have a great time, and we'll be here waiting for all the details when you return!

Hope you are having a marvelous time.

I really like the best/least favorite memories of the day & the picture posts you are doing. But even if you don't have time for those we will understand....just have fun. I thought you were incredible for even thinking of doing a totally live trippie.:worship:

I MISS THE COAST!!!! I cant wait until I see the ocean in 3 weeks!!!! Hope you are having a good time!

Both me and dh lived in cali for a while. (Not together) Traffic is one thing we don't miss, and is the one thing hubby uses to stay out of Cali. I however am using family that still lives out there to get my trip in. Can't wait to hear your little updates, will billed up the suspence for your full tr when you get back. Have a magical time

September 24th

Favorite Memory of Day- ((I have a million)) Watching the kids play in the water area located in Bug’s Land.
Least Favorite memory of Day-Didn’t really have one. I guess it would be dealing with sore legs and feet for most of the day. Oh and eating the Chicken Sandwich from Hungry Bear… YUCK!
Something I learned today- September is the best month to visit, we haven’t needed 1 single fast pass since being here

Thanks.... I'm glad you all understand. I'm having a wonderful time! My feet, legs, and hips hurt so that indicates that I'm keeping myself busy, busy, busy.

I always feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. Tomorrow is my first day of sleeping in... I'm so excited for that. :woohoo:

Oh my goodness, that would drive me crazy! It was terrifying especially at night. I couldn't understand why so many people were out and about on the roads at 8:00pm. :confused3

I've been using the wireless internet access at my hotels. The place I'm staying at right now charges $9.95 a day so I've only purchased 2 days worth. Hopefully my next stop has free wireless access.

It was AMAZING!! I got a little teary eyed the first time I saw the ocean. I was really sad because Reya slept during the best part so I didn't get any family photos with the beautiful view in the background.

Can't wait to show you the rest of the pictures.

Hope you are having a marvelous time.

I'm having a wonderful time, thank you.

I haven't had a chance to dip my feet in the water yet. We're going to the beach on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll take some great pictures for you.
