The Bachelor Season 19 Chris - Prince Farming NO SPOILERS

I'm a little bummed because I know who is going home tonight, based on the previews ABC showed us. I always stay away from spoilers and I like being surprised at the end, but they essentially showed us the hometown dates.

I thought it was odd that we got to see three of the four hometown date picks. So we have Britt, Whitney and Carly left. Wonder who he picks? Hope its Whitney.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't care much for Whitney. I get more of a mom/big sister vibe from her than girlfriend lol. I picture her wearing the pants. However she played her cards right in telling Chris she's looking for a full family/parents etc. He prob pictures no stress/MIL issues and is grateful. Not sure why she has no relationship with her dad, but DS said "Daddy issues..she's out". DS has had his share of dating those, lol. I think Chris knows he is going to gone/unavailable a lot and is looking for someone who is independent and I will say Whitney fill that bill. Pretty sure tonight sees both Carly and Britt being rose-less. I can just hear Carly now.."I'm sad, but Chris is great and I just want him to be happy. I'm MORE bummed that I got the ax with Britt! I mean, couldn't I have lasted longer than her for just a few days?" If the is actually a wedding out of this season hopefully Carly is invited and she has her pick of lonely farm boys to choose from!

eta: Hoping Carly doesn't go into a "friendzone" freakout (considering what she said about her ex) and prob not getting picked tonight~I am really hoping she is the Bachelorette and give some life to the show

I really hope Carly is not the next Bachelorette. I found her to be jealous, mean and spiteful with other girls and not just Britt.

I really feel bad for Jade though as she did tell Chris even if it was to draw attention to any "modeling" opportunities Chris's big speech about standing by his soul was as believable as Britt's lol. Chris is doing some heavy sweating in Bali..I'll crack up if he proposes and any of them politely decline

I think Brit is making excuses now. She doesn't want to stay in Iowa so she's self-sabotaging. She is such a drama queen! She's LOOKING for an excuse to leave. She's not being honest enough with herself to say it's because she doesn't want to live in Iowa.

Chris is getting better at the break ups!

Wow, Brit is crying over what Carly said to Chris, MORE than the break up with CHRIS???

Chris walked her out, but there's no limo waiting for her out there!
The limo was saved for Carly.

Interesting observation: Jade's brother said how she went to L.A. to become a model. People come to NYC to become a model, this is the modeling capital. People to go to L.A. to become actors. I wonder if she changed her profession to not sound like she just came on the show for the TV exposure?

I would have thought more of Chris had he declined to look at Jade's photos. I can't imagine what she thought in even offering to show them.

Did anyone notice how short Kaitlyn's part was? They hardly showed anything of her hometown meet, they spent more time at the recording studio than anywhere.

I think he needed to see how risque they were to see what he was getting into. She's been presenting herself as little Miss Demure all this time and that OBVIOUSLY isn't who she is. Her brother said outright that she had a wild side.Her father indicated there was deeper, unknown stuff about her.

If they were in a normal dating relationship and Chris had more time to peel that onion, he might have let her stay. But the way the show is structured, he doesn't get that. And they timed her hometown date to be last, so he didn't even have time to let it all settle in.

On the one hand, after seeing her video, I was wondering if he was going to keep her around to get some action on the overnite date. But, to his credit, he let her go. Now, he'll have a night with a virgin to deal with.

I kind of wonder if he will be thinking he should have kept Carly after all. I did notice we didn't get to see them say goodbye to each other. Maybe, as a PP said, they both realized they were more brother & sister after all.

....I'm thinking the same thing....as much as I didn't care for Andi, I do feel really sorry for her....she truly was in love with Josh...

I have to vent, forgive me...

I know that they have to play it up for tv, and, yes, the town is small, but it's only 38 miles from Waterloo, Iowa (poulation 68,000). I live that far from the town that I work in (that has 20,000 people), so I'm sure many of the citizens of his town travel to a nearby town for work, as well. University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, IA, is only 40 miles away. It's less than two hours from Madison, WI, which has 200K people. Many, many people live in "The Middle" of this great country of ours, and live in similar situations that truly are NOT "that" rural!

Jenny McCarthy, on her Sirius radio show this a.m., said something marvelous about how if SHE was one of the finalists, she would use the fame and fortune to buy up some of those closed businesses and open up some fun stores/restaurants/things to do, etc. (She also had Chris H on for an interview last week, and they admitted to being good friends for a really long time, so it's no wonder her nanny ended up on the show this season...)

I think there is something truly mentally unstable with Jade. Knowing how her father and brothers reacted when she first did the nude photos/video, how in the WORLD would she have thought that Chris would have wanted to see them, much less with her, much less on camera? It makes me cyncial about the production of this show, because obviously she was vetted through, they knew about it, and it was saved for good ratings for the end of the season. Does ANYONE doubt that he would have sent her home WHENEVER she had chosen to tell him? Can you imagine if she would have "confessed" when being interviewed by his sisters?!? I refuse to google them, but from what I've heard they are not soft, gauzy, leave at least a little to the imagination type photos....

Fingers crossed for Whitney, I think she has a good head on her shoulders, could work out of a nearby hospital if she wants to, will love his family, and seems to have the brains to be a good business partner (which farming is nowadays, at least on that scale...)
