The Bachelor Season 19 Chris - Prince Farming NO SPOILERS

Yes, I think they let that one drag on a little bit too long. That poor girl is just devastated.

I missed most of her intervew...what happened? She looked absolutely devasted and said something about disappointing everyone.

I can't believe that the girls decided to take the little road trip to his town! It reminds me a lot of the town that my grandparents live in, but it's definitely too small for most of the girls.

WOW!!! Brit turned into Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction! She said the equivalent of, "I will not be ignored, Chris." :furious: :scared1:

She's from Hollywood. I nailed it weeks ago when I said she's an actress/waitress. I don't think she's a plant. I think she's been playing a role in her own real life, pretending to be a sweet ingenue all the time when she's really not. I think the most real thing she said all night was how she loves to reinvent herself all the time. And how she wants to TRY to be a "farm mom" now. That's code for "I haven't found myself and nothing is sticking." :sad2:

Sorry but I am not a fan of IA, it is the barrier to most places we want to go through the midwest. :snail: Just driving through hours and hours of fields.
I have to defend my home state. :) There are many misconceptions about Iowa, but the cities I've lived in have all been really wonderful. I saw more theater performances when I lived in Des Moines than I have living near Chicago now. I've eaten at amazing restaurants, met more progressive people, and got an amazing education living in Iowa. Iowa isn't just a farm wasteland. ;) I'm not saying that where the bachelor lives is a mecca of culture, but please don't discount all of Iowa because you had a boring experience driving through it. Ok. Carry-on. ;)

I've been watching only to see my hometown being shown (Dubuque). I loathe the bachelor and think he looks like a stoned ferret.

I caught that and I hope that Chris did also.

I think that Iowa is a beautiful state. I was in Iowa last August. We visited family up in the Spirit Lake/ Lake Okoboji area. It was beautiful up there. Yes, we drove through miles and miles of corn and soybean fields but it was beautiful in it's own way. There are many things to see and do in Iowa. You just have to look for them.

Yes. And I keep thinking "give the girl a tissue!". It is definitely sad.

That's exactly what DW said!

I had heard that the girls are basically sequestered for the duration of the show and not allowed any time out.
I'm betting that the producers are the ones who suggested that the girls could go visit Chris' home town.

You go girl!

:lmao:

I'm a little bummed because I know who is going home tonight, based on the previews ABC showed us. I always stay away from spoilers and I like being surprised at the end, but they essentially showed us the hometown dates.

The girls said it took 3 hours to get there. I was thinking the same thing the producers told them to go. They probably wanted to see there faces when they say the town.

Jade got to meet his parents and Whitney got to meet his friends thought that was strange. Thought it would be Britt because he really seemed into her, even though we got her number.

I'm thinking Carly is more friend material since his one on one they really haven't had a conversation about anything but the other girls.

Even tho she bugs me somehow and can throw the stink eye without even trying, Whitney reminds me of Melissa Gilbert a lot...removed the bleached hair and she will fit right into that little house on the prairie, lol. There's a hospital 20 minutes from there if they are in need of a fertility nurse I guess. Jade can do her jewelry designing from the Ponderosa spread but the others, what the heck are they going to do? No place for Carly to sing other than church and some motels a few towns over, Whitney could transfer her skills to the livestock~Britt, lol, no waitress openings that I saw or dance studio for Kaitlin to teach at...there are other small towns closer to Arlington tho, it isn't 3 hours to civilization. There's a Subway 15 minutes from there, you just get used to driving to where you need to go. Chris isn't hurting for $, pretty sure his wife will won't be plowing the fields to make ends meet. Britt has been using the show much like Michelle Money and many others, to get "discovered" and yeah, she is creating herself to fit into Chris's life (at least on the show). It looked like they showed 3 of 4 home dates, Kaitlin, Jade and one other..maybe Chris sends both Britt and Carly home tonight? Becca doesn't get much screen time which makes me think she may be in, I mean, he did say if she can shoot she's a 10 and she proved she can soooo......and she works in a salon. guess she can open one in Arlington?

:rotfl2: Thank you! I always thought his eyes/eyebrows made him look stoned and couldn't understand why anyone found him attractive. Seemed like a nice guy, but not good looking in any way, to me. Boring too. I still think Marquel should've been the bachelor.

My dish network box went on the fritz and a new one does not come in till today, was so mad to miss last night. So he does not send anyone home till tonight?? Britt showed some crazy huh???

What is up with Andi, did she and the baseball player split? Never liked that guy anyway.

In the commercials/previews they showed Becca's sister asking her about the fantasy suite and if Chris "knows" (presumably about her virginity). I really like Becca, Jade, and Kaitlyn. I wonder how Chris will react to Jade's announcement about the Playboy modeling though!

Oh you're right! IMHO I don't think any of these girls are gonna work out long term....I mean, it is a challenging match for a lot of reasons .

I don't like Jade. She seems like she has zero personality to me.

You're right. I can see it.

With that bleached hair and dark eyebrows, Whitney also reminds me of the original Ashley Abbott from the Y&R.

I think the Playboy modeling will be what sends Jade home. What I do like about her is that she seems comfortable going without any makeup (or at least minimal makeup). When I think about living on a Iowa farm, I have a very hard time picturing Britt and her hot pink lipstick working in a barn, cleaning out stalls. I can sort-of picture Whitney living on a farm, and even Becca. Becca is so quiet though - I had no idea who she was until she got that one-on-one date last week. Does quiet mean she makes it to the final two? Or does quiet mean she's gone during the next rose ceremony?

He will probably say he's okay with it. But, in the long run, if they have end up in a relationship after the show, I think he'd want a test drive eventually. ;) Becca, I think, would still wait till marriage.

I have a feeling, Alleged Virgin Ashley, had she been the final one, would have let him pop her cherry before marriage. She so DESPERATE to be in love and get married, to fix her life and get on with her life, that the fact that "the Bachelor" chose her and proposed on national TV would have been enough for her to blur that one detail that they aren't married yet. She'd conveniently forget the statistics that these relationships don't last. And if later on, if her daddy disowns her for religious reasons or whatever for no longer being a virgin, she can scream & cry, "But he was THE BACHELOR and he proposed to me on national TV. I really thought he meant it and he was THE ONE!!!!!"   And she blames Chris & the show for it all.

I wonder how Chris will react to Jade's announcement about the Playboy modeling though!

She's on the show for more "exposure." :rolleyes1

Well, men have seen her in her birthday suit, so I don't think a little makeup matters at this point. :p :lmao:

Just now watching last night's episode and while her voice drives me crazy, I'm really liking Whitney. She appears to be very genuine about how she acts and reacts towards him.
