Poor Bevin? The girl threw herself at him from the beginning! She monopolized every group date that she was involved in. She wasn't interested so much in him as she was in winning the show. I believe she was saying the right words while hoping the true feelings would come, eventually.

I thought her comment at the end ("I would have loved living in Hawaii--with Andy...") was very telling. Andy was an afterthought.

Besides, she doesn't like long distance relationships. She even said she would do whatever she could to get out of it. I'm curious, just what she thought was going to happen with his job? Making a long distance relationship work is just a part of being a Navy wife.

I think he made the right choice. Not that I believe they'll really get married or anything. I'd love to see it work out, but this show doesn't have a good matchmaking record.

Last night was the first and only time I've watched this season of the Bachelor. From what I could tell they had to scrape the bottom of the barrell with this bachelor. I didn't like how he tried to shut the blonde up when she told his parents about the project she was working on in her work with sexual libidos. He also looked like he wanted to slap her when she mentioned her religion. That said, all that talk about how she turns him on and how much he loves her, I thought he would pick her. It sure looked like he was leading the blonde on, I would have never guessed he'd pick the brunette. Although his family seemed to be leaning toward her, especially his sister.

I used to watch this show religiously but last night I was reminded why I no longer do.

Not sure if he was or not, but it IS possible to love 2 people at the same time & to be very confused. I speak from experience there. I was engaged for 3 years. Met someone at work 6 mths before wedding. Broke off engagement 2 mths before the wedding. Hardest thing I've ever done. I felt so bad for hurting him. And struggled with it for months while moving on with new person. We were married 1.5 yrs later. That was 21 yrs ago & we are still together.

I would like to think that Andy really did care for Bevin too. But ultimitely he wanted Tessa. That doesn't make him a total jerk. I'm thinking they had a VERY physical relationship off camera because of something he did when they were on their final date & they were in the helicopter. He easily & naturally just reached up & scratched her chest & put his hand there. Not on her breast, but on her chest. With no hesitation. That was an odd movement I thought, but it told me they were very comfortable physically with each other.

Who would watch the show if he was obviously in love with one girl and just hanging out with the others. Danielle was hurt, Amber was hurt. That is the nature of the show. And I think that is why Tessa was reluctant to let herself fall in love at first. We only saw about 7 or 8 hours total of a six week process. And a lot of what we heard was voice overs. So, who knows what really happens. Bevin said that this always happens to her. She chased after him from early on - makes you wonder if it was Andy she wanted or just to win a man. I think he did love Bevin but was in love with Tessa. I don't think he intentionally led her on. He seemed really torn by hurting her. If he was that big of a jerk, he wouldn't have cared that Bevin got hurt. Tessa said going into the final rose ceremony that either she was going to be a couple or be devastated. You know there are two of you and there is that possibility. Can you imagine telling a guy being the one to first say you are in love with him knowing he is dating someone else? The whole process has to be hard for everyone. I think he made the best choice for him.

tonight will be interesting to see what they said. Did anyone on here pick Tess in the beginning to win, I knew early but not sure how early. There was something about him that I found strange but couldn't put my finger on it.

My DH and I both saw that and that she did not flinch a bit when he did. DH said, "well I guess that answers the question about their fantasy suite night."

I really lost some respect for Andy when he told them both he loved them. I don't ever remember any bachelor even using those words - I thought they weren't supposed to - and he used it with both of them, making it a little cavalier. DH had a crazy theory that we never really know which date comes first, only the order they show it to us. He believes Andy may have slipped and said it to Tessa and the producers them made him say it Bevin as well to not totally give the ending away. Not sure if I believe that, but I did think he was a bit of a cad after that.

I noticed that too, which is why I was surprised he picked Tessa. He did seem more physically compatibable and comfortable with Bevin.

Yeah, I think he couldn't stand the fact that she was cold to him from the beginning.

It seems to be the best way to get a man who is so sure of himself.

Felt bad for Bevin...she handled it pretty well....considering....
Did anyone else notice when Andy "told" Bevin he loved her, it wasnt face to face, they were in a hug? And Tessa...he said her entire name..and to her face.
I always watch for the little signs too....with Danielle, he was affectionate, but she iniated (SP?) most of the moves. He was always all over Tessa.
I hope they make it They were so cute at the end
I thought Andy took the show seriously and I repsect that. I just dont think Tessa will like all the kissy kissy he did with Bevin!

Yes, I had picked Tess.
I had it all figured out very early on.
It was soooo clear that he was smitten with her, and Andy (along with me and you and a lot of others) kept on and on hoping that she would finally open up.

And, sorry to say, but she didn't!!!! Her underwhelming and emotionally stunted response to his proposal was such a let down. All she could say was "Ohhh, this moment is perfect" How about throwing herself into his arms and telling him how much she loves him and how she wants to have his babies.... Jeez. He would have been better off with Bevin!!!

Seriously, Tess is definately emotionally impaired. She could never gaze into his eyes, or just wrap herself around him. Every kiss was a 'peck' followed by a quick pull-away. Every time she did attempt to say anything emotional, it was always p-a-i-n-f-u-l-l-y slow and scripted.

I too agree that Bevin was playing all the cards. I just can't erase the early scenes of her 'fake' tears, etc.... However, by the end, I DO think that she fell in love with him. I really do think that she did come a long way in the 'process'. Jeez, don't you HATE that word!!!

I am happy he picked Tessa. I also think they had a lot more GOING ON that we saw, or knew. When they showed them both sitting in the sun talking, we did not know what they were saying. They seemed to have a lot to share.

I was shocked also when he told Bevin he loved her, but I think it was scripted. We may find out a lot tonight. I am not sure whether this is true or not, but I read that they knew from about week 4, and they had to redo a LOT of the show so it was not obvious...

I felt bad for Bevin also, especially after she said that there was no way she would be going home without a rose ..How could you even say that on a show with 2 finalists...

One more point I did not like was "I friggin Love you"...WTH is that all about. Don't be telling me that with that word in there, especially if it is the first time

I have only watched the past couple of shows, so don't know the history behind all the girls.

I thought it pretty obvious he was going to pick Tessa. What we noticed is that Bevin never said she "loved" Andy. It was always "I adore Andy." Even at the parents house when asked if she loved Andy, she hesitated and said "I adore him" and then almost as an afterthought - like I better say the right thing, in a lower voice (to us it looked like she was choking it out) I love him. We noticed it in the limo on the way to the rose ceremony too - She continually talked about how much she "adored" him, never saying she "loved" him. Only afterwards did she say she "friggin loved him." Of course, that could have been self-preservation too, trying not to make a total fool of herself on national tv.

As for the physical relationship, we actually discussed how they could make absolutely sure none of the girls get pregnant and a rejected one shows up to create a scandal with the "new couple."

I liked that she felt uncomfortable because I think she was more comfortable with him in private and sincere so he chose her. The other girls just threw themselves at him. Tessa has class.

My mother always said there are some girls that are the party type and some that were the marrying type. Tessa was the marrying type. I think if it works out she will be true to him and they can party all they want in private.

I think Bevin would have been too needy for Andy. He kept saying that Tessa was 'up for anything.' That's the kind of woman an Ironman needs-an independent, energetic and up for anything kind of girl. This guy is so obviously a geek with a darling face. He's awkward, sensitive and intelligent. At no time did I get ego from him. If I were Tessa, I'd be worried about not giving Andy that 'electric' feeling he got from Bevin. Maybe he needs a little shock therapy, lol! I totally LOVED his grandfather!!! What a real guy! I liked that he asked Bevin if she would be willing to go anywhere with Andy. Her response-'you mean...leave THIS country?' He knew it should be Tessa.

I am not so sure that Tessa's 'inhibitions' are just in public.
Andy was always concerned about this, even after their 'alone time'.
If she is that worried about the public, then why would she have signed on for the show!
I believe that this is emotional inhibition is a huge part of Tessa's personal make-up. I think that, sadly, this, along with the fact that it short-circuites the 'electricity' that Andy would like to have, will be their downfall.

And, I sooo agree that Bevin might be a little needy for Andy. I wouldn't really classify her as NEEDY, but I think all the fake tears at the beginning were very telling. It is also interesting that while Andy is an accomplished military man, traveler and triathelete and would like a strong independant woman to be able to keep up with him, he STILL fell hook-line-sinker for Bevin's tears.

As much as I like Tessa, I seriously thought he would pick Bevin because of the chemistry he kept talking about. I was surprised when Bevin stepped out of the limo first. She didn't say a word through the whole thing...I kind of felt bad for her.

Tessa did look stunning in the blue dress, and I got a little teary when Andy got down on one knee. I hope they make it!

(unlike a few bachelors ago, when they were already broken up by the time the show aired!)

Tessa and Andy were on the View this morning.

As they were coming in he picked her up and carried her to the chairs

They just said that she is moving to Hawii and they are going to try and date each other now that the show is over. No wedding date set yet.

They asked her if she watched last night show and she said no.

He said he loved Bevin but in a different way. That Tessa's was deeper or something along those lines.

I am so glad he picked Tessa.

I didn't like Bevin, but I did feel a little sorry for her. I could never do a show like that. I couldn't handle sharing. When I am dating someone, I want all their attention! I would go crazy knowing he was kissing someone else and telling her all the sweet things he is telling me.

They said at the end of the show that there was going to be a 'tell all' show tonight, but I can't find it in my tv guide. With the 2 hour DWTStars, I wonder when it would be on. It also shows a 1 hour Boston Legal finale. So I wonder when..... Anyone know?
