Does anyone else feel awkward when they see guys/girls walking around the locker room naked?

Of course today at the gym, I was putting my sneakers on to go work out and I look to my right and I see an 85 y/o man bending over naked. Not a pretty sight, people. It was certainly a full moon. So I finish my work out and come back to get my things. What do I see but another older man naked - I immediately did a 180. :scared1: But doing a 180 didn't help because as I'm leaving the locker room he passes right in front of me - put on a darn towel! :confused3

I just always feel awkward when I see guys walking around naked, especially old men (no offense :rotfl: ). The hot ones, I don't mind. ;)

I usually throw my arm over my eyes, and blurt out "AAARRRRRGGGHHHH!". I hope they don't take offense....

I worked at a Gym/health club for four years.

My old work area was a gymnastics office which shared a wall with a mens locker room. Usually no one was ever in the gym office so there was never an issue with seeing the men.

One day when I was in the office, I saw two men just strolling around.. like there was no clothes in the universe.

And to top that, one time I was in the ladies locker room.. and I saw my boss naked in the locker room. EEK!

I'm glad someone understands. ;)

::yes::

That's almost as bad as when you are a teenager and you figure out what your parents are doing in the bedroom next door to you!:scared1: And you thought they had quit doing *THAT* years ago! :faint:

;)

Suddenly dinner doesn't look so tasty. :scared:

Thanks Pam. Really appreciate it!!

I'll tell you what's awkward...being 22 years old and *telling* people your parent's age to take their clothes off. I'm a nurse and there was a time I didn't think I'd ever get used to that. I did and soon thought nothing of it. :) In fact, there was a time in my nursing career that I saw more people unclothed than clothed. Soooo...what's for dinner?

I just think it's funny that I never see people under the age of 70 naked in the locker room. The younger people use the changing rooms, but the older folks don't seem to have any problem with nudity. I thought as you got older you were supposed to become more prudish, but that definately has not been proven to be true at my gym.

My Mother takes a senior swimming aerobics class. Everyone in the class is over 65 and most are over 70. She said it is a bit funny to see a bunch of old naked ladies at the same time. They all change and then get in pool and then come back and get naked again.:rotfl2:

:sad2: See one of my tags. I'm almost 40. This just happened around Christmas. :headache: :scared1:

The pool near my house has three changing rooms: one for men, one for women, and one that says "family." In the family one, there are larger that usual changing rooms with doors, so that parents can take their kids in with them and get them changed. But whenever I go with my grandchildren, there always seem to be some older men and women - yes, both - wandering around the "family" change room naked. They don't even bother with the changing rooms, just strip down in front of the lockers. They don't have any kids with them, so why don't they go into the men's or women's change areas?? Or if they feel that the family area is the right one for them for some unknown reason, why not use one of the change rooms so conveniently provided? It doesn't bother me all that much to see people naked, really, I just don't understand why they are there.

There is a reason why the eye sight of 85 year old women is failing.;)

Truer words have never been spoken! I thank God for giving me near-sightedness (is that one where I can't see distances well?) at times like these.

I don't understand why anyone even has to get naked at the gym!!!:confused3 Put your gym clothes on at home or in the bathroom at your job before you get there or at the very least use a changing room or bathroom stall! I don't recall reading on my membership benefits "required to watch people undress even if it burns your corneas"! I mean come on people! I will never understand this. :sad2:
