****The April 2015 thread**** come check in and chat!

I'm going CRAZY! Bags packed, house cleaned, everything is done. I have all this time til we sleep. I don't want to start aNY projects at home cause I don't want to make a mess + am so amped up I cannot focus. So here I sit. Wathing fresh baked and staring at the clock. 24 hours from now we will be in DISNEYLAND!
Me too! Me too! That is exactly my situation!

Single digits, 9 days to go!!

I was having a bit of a packing crisis trying to figure out how I was going to get my DD's car seat safely to Cali without risking damage to it. I finally settled on sharing a carry on with my DH. I packed half of each of our stuff in the carry on and the rest in a bag we'll check. That way we can take the car seat as one of our carry ons, and have clothes in case our checked bag gets lost. Plus now we'll have room to take stuff home!

Most airlines let you bring a car seat on the plane and it doesnt count as your carry on

OH my WORD! Yep. Time for Disney.

P.S - my forecast has already changed to one day of less than 40% chance of rain. I like those odds :)

That's great! However, your rainy days moved over and are now MY rainy days! Hahaha

Oh I am jealous! We are in "hurry up and wait" mode...Can't clean too soon or we'll dirty it up before we go. And can't pack or we'll ruin the surprise! For now all I can really do is obsess over my packing list! :rolleyes1

Noo! Oh I'm sorry! There's hope for us all yet!

We head out next Weds. We are in Central CA so we are looking at around a 6 hour trip depending on traffic. Right now the forecast is saying rain on Thursday and Saturday. I expect it will change several times between now and Weds.
Packing this weekend. There's all kinds of stuff in the staging area. I'm so ready!!!

We leave tomorrow! :yay:

DGD (not going with us) is spending the night, so that will be interesting. I have almost everything done. Hope to finish up when she goes to bed tonight.
To pass a few hours we are taking her to the zoo today.

We're back! Weather was PERFECT. The Santa Anas blew our last day in the park, but we've been there when they have been much worse. Lots of rides going down, especially Indiana Jones. It's like they were just nursing it through it's last few days before it closed. But we managed to ride everything we wanted to and multiple times on the rides we love without too much trouble at all. The crowds were very manageable and we had a great time. We really missed Soarin' over California and we spent way more time in DL this time than DCA (usually that is the opposite) but since we liked Frozen but aren't obsessed with it, we didn't feel the need to hang out there as much.

Will anyone be attending the AP Event on April 27th? My husband and I will be going and curious to know what to expect. Will rides be open? Anything extra fun and exciting? How are the crowds with this event?

We just got our invitation to this event after we got back. I wish we could turn around and go back for it but that is the first day back on track for my kiddos at school. We did the Wednesdays with Walt AP event this past week and it was so much fun. They show an episode of the Wonderful World of Color and this week it was the Golden Horseshoe Review. Loved it. The host at the show said that if you got an invite to the April 27 event not to miss it because they were going to be doing a special showing of the Review. I wasn't clear if he meant just a film version, or if they are going to reenact it at the Golden Horseshoe. Either way, I'm jealous that you are going. Enjoy!!

We woke up to about 8 inches of snow on the ground this morning, schools closed and everything. Man I can't wait for California weather! I'm just hoping this weather changes by tomorrow night, it's still snowing now :sad2:

We missed the biggest storm of the entire season here in Utah this week while we were down there. Funny, we spent 15 days in January at WDW and going on a Disney Cruise because we wanted to be far away from here during the worst part of winter and not a flake of snow fell while we were gone. In fact, Utah has it's driest and warmest January and February ever. Then we go away for Spring break and miss winter instead. I am not complaining. I just think it's funny.

If anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer.

Glad you had a wonderful time!! I anticipate we won't be spending a ton of time in California Adventure either - though my boys are Cars obsessed ;)
