Well, I'll wade into the fray too.
First of all, my blood boils at the morons who want to make this a race issue. How do you explain all of these very same people favouring Randall to win in the first place? Did they not notice he was black before? No, I'm pretty sure everyone is commenting on his "actions", not his race.
Next, I, like most everyone I know, knew that without a doubt, Randall was the winner here - but I also thought it was pretty close because Rebecca is quite impressive, and Randall isn't quite as perfect as I first thought. However, Trump was right on in hiring Randall - there really could have been no better choice. Randall is the whole package.
However, what happened after that was a turn off. Personally, I was one that would have expected Randall to finish off with a classy gesture. He acted so much over the last few weeks of the show that he liked/respected Rebecca so much and they seemed to get along so well. Why could he not just say "You know what? Yes, you would be smart to grab Rebecca too." It takes nothing away from Randall, he remained Trump's choice, he was hired, he won. It was clearly on the record that Trump chose HIM over her. Was it insecurity that he might be outshined? Mabye. A misplaced display of toughness? Maybe.
But then I guess none of the competitors are at their heart too soft or else they wouldn't be involved in such a cut-throat type of competition in the first place.
I don't feel too sorry for Rebecca, she is a big girl who will be very successful either way.
However, he could have taken the high road and closed this season on a high note to make everyone happy. Instead, he ended it with a backstabbing (only because he was so "close" to Rebecca, it wouldn't have seemed that way if they had been enemies or not close) and left a bad taste in my mouth.
Whatever, I still like Randall - it didn't turn me off him completely but yes, I just feel disappointed in the ending and maybe he went down a notch in my estimation.
