Oftentimes, they will offer one the position and bring back the other one to discuss filling another position, and even sometimes, create a position for the second-place candidate. Never do the managers say to the one to whom they offer the original position, "Hey, I''ve been interviewing another qualified candidate and I would like to put him in another position, what do you think?" Trump likes to tout this as "an interview" rather than "entertainment." He should have treated it as such. Now today, "He's over it." Funny how he admired Rebecca for her loyalty and then showed her none himself.
No--but how often in the business world is told--"you're hired"--got someone you want to bring along? Pretty often. Some companies even pay bonuses for hired referrals.
He wasn't asked to share the apprenticeship--he was asked his thoughts on whether or not she should be given a job in the organization.
That happened in Men's gymnastics--actually the person who didn't win wanted to share it...or was that ice skating? I think it was the last Olympics
The scenarios are apples and oranges though. Nothing is gained or lost by sharing/not sharing a gold medal. But in this instance--money could very well likely be walking out the door.On the note of Randalls living arrangements and business...just b/c the business is mulit-million dollar doesn't mean that he is.
He could be totally reinvesting those millions into the growth of the company. Also--"The Millionaire Next Door" is worth a read. Real millionaires SAVE their money and put it to work for them--not to buy disposable goods. How he lives is not indicative of his net worth or his companies success. Read the Budget boards--lots of talk about you can no longer judge wealth by what people wear, what they drive, or where they live. Perhaps he is living quite comfortably within his means. The Apprenticeship is more than an income--it is an opportunity to LEARN and take what you do learn and run with it.
.) I would have been VERY happy if he had hired both. I think this was the first season the finalists were both very qualified to be hired. This is an INTERVIEW first. Yes, it is a reality show, and yes there are twists and turns, but it's unlike other reality shows in that it is for a job, not just for prize money. Therefore, it's not fair to compare apples to oranges.

I wonder if Trump was swayed by her attractiveness and has now realized there wasn't much substance below that. And before I get flamed, I mean substance as in experience as a business executive. Rebecca is obviously smart and talented - she just lacks experience.
