The Apprentice- Martha Stewart

So do you think Martha may not be happy with either and she'll tell Dawna and Bethenny that neither one fits in...and that's how the show will end?

Castleview, Jim was my absolute favorite! Without him I doubt I would have been so interested in this show! He was just a great and hilarious character to watch.

Me too! I was sorry to see him go.

I can't believe how no one at either venue is helping the PM. If I was planning an event at a location that had other events in the past, I'd expect the venue's management team to cue me in on what has worked in the past and what hasn't. I couldn't believe how many times each PM was told that they were the manager, they need to tell the venue what to do and not the other way around.

Even the best planner, with tons of experience, would get suggestions from the venue's staff. Sometimes even if it wasn't welcome, I'd think.

I agree with the person who said above that there is no way that these events are pulled off in 2 days by a PM and three others. How many of us, if we had gobs of money to spend at charitable events, or even an employer who sends us to these events would be able to fit one into our calendar with a day or two's notice? Not likely, I'd say.

Heck, the Liz Claiborne people didn't even want to make suggestions as to which outfits would go best together in a fashion show, or at least how to group them.

When Amanda and Howie walked into the showroom, the outfits were grouped together they just had to pick the outfits they thought would go with the mood they were trying to create....ie were they going for fashion, fun, trend, classic? Of course, there's a lot to the editing - but the LC Director wasn't seeming to offer help as to the outfits because she wasn't sure of their direction. And, as a note that woman happens to be the nicest, most professional person that you could ever met - like Jessica Rabbit, she seems to have been *drawn* that way. :rotfl:

The event (which wasn't something planned that MSA got involved with - this was an event done for MSA) was definately pulled off in a few days - and there was plenty of help that wasn't shown - again all in the editing for dramatic effect.

And, as far as any of the event "owners" not helping out the PM's, or coming off different than what they are - I'm not sure that this isn't because this is what they're told to do. I know at the fashion show, we were told when to clap, when to look pensive, when to chat soto volce to the person next to you. If that was so "staged", why not be lead to believe that a lot more is?

But - it's still fun!!!!!

Ok, I missed the first half of the show. Who said the quote above? Martha?

Sorry, I didn't know if I should put it because it might have made it a spoiler. That was Martha's line to Jim when she 'fired' him. It just feels so awkward and weird everytime she dismisses someone.

P.S. If you missed the first half of the show then you must've missed the interviews. Funny stuff!

I was :earseek: over Carries shirt she was wearing when she was driving the SUV. I wasn't sure if it was a "costume malfunction" or if she meant for it to look like that.

Maybe she just wanted her five minutes of fame @@. I noticed that too.

Its obvious Martha will hire Dawna, but I think Bethenny's event went better than Dawna's Bethenny was scattered most of the time elading up to it, but she pulled it off.

I can't wait until I no longer have to look at Amanda again, can't stand her.

Agree with you on that one. Honestly, after last week's Trump Apprentice, this is just so darn anti-climactic. Who cares, really? Plus, the whole set-up of this final show just seems cheaply put together.

Zzzzzzzzzz......... Anti-climactic is an understatement!

Ok, time for me to turn on Bravo for some Project Runway goodness!

That was absolutely awful. It kinda seemed like "yeah, I guess I'm gonna hire you." While I kinda liked Martha at the beginning (notice I said 'kinda liker her'), by the end, it almost seemed like this was a chore for her.

Man, at times like these, I wonder how I'll ever regain the 15+ hours I wasted watching this show....

**Spoilers**

I thought it was funny when Martha told Jim that she couldn't believe he had such a beautiful wife and kids, LOL, she said what we were all thinking!!

She picked the right one for her apprentice. Bethany is just too scary. Reminds me of Morticia! :earseek:

Like I said, if you want a quality reality show, tis all about project Runway on Bravo.

I saw Jim when he was on Martha's daytime show. Even there she was oddly obsessed with Jim's family.

I wanted Bethany to win. Oh well.

I actually enjoy Alex's show "Whatever" on Sirius. I wonder if she had Jim on her show last week. I can see her and co-host Jennifer making fun of him the whole time.

By the way, I love Project Runway too. This season is as good as last season.

that was the most anti cliamtic thing ever - I fast forwarded to the end just to see who she hired

I don't think Dawna has any personality - I liked Bethany better but really couldn't have cared less!

I used to think that Martha's condescending tone was her pattern of speech but it was clear to me, last night, that she is truly condescending. When Trump didn't hire "what's her name" and hired Randall, he said wonderful things about her anyway. When Martha made the decision to hire Dawna, she denigrated Bethany by saying negative things. I think she could have highlighted Bethany's strengths and said that "Dawna is a better fit" for their company but that Bethany really is a star in her own right. I think Bethany will end up doing better than Dawna because she won't be locked into Martha. It looks like Dawna lives in a lovely warm climate. Is she really going to rellocate to Boston??!!!

As my DW said, not only would she have handled both events better, she could have produced the last episode better! Wasn't the whole flow very strange, cheap, and anti-climatic? It's like Martha offered her the job in the middle of a sentence...sort of ..oh by the way...you're hired. It was all very cheesy. Driving off in the Buick...lol

I like Martha's daughter, the way she asked Martha in the car if she was listening, and she was right on the mark about Dawna lacking creativity but being a better fit for Martha Stewart's company. She looked great, too, like she had lost 25 pounds, had a chemical peel, a highlight, and hired a stylist.

I thought that was so funny!
"Are you listening to me or emailing?"
"I'm listening" (As she continues to stare at her palm and not look up once. It was like my fiance' when he's watching sports!)

Martha had the finalists on her show just now and talked about everything. They had Bonnie Hunt on too (she was a big fan of the show and said she liked it better than Donald's because it was done more intelligently :earseek: ) and as Martha was cooking with her Bonnie was saying how stunning Alexis is ( :earseek: ) Marth kinda said 'she is' and brushed it off and then said 'and she is completely irreverent too!' She didn't like laugh or joke about it, IMO she said it very coldly. Seems like they have an awful relationship.

Also, I sorta like Bethenny. I think she would be a great employee for Martha Stewart (especially with her new healthy focus.) However, I don't know that she would have made a good executive. She was also starting to get a little stalkery toward Martha and this morning on her show she was at it again.

Bethenny made her a whole gift pack of her new line of whole foods cookies and snacks, ok, nice thank you gift. Then Bethenny starts rambling about how they were inspired by Martha and her books, and her recipes and blah blah blah. Martha actually sort of had to cut her off.
