The Apprentice- Martha Stewart

Both made me laugh, too.

Did anyone else hear that Martha said "So sorry, you couldn't be here for the final task, Leslie" when she was writing the letter. Does that mean there's only one more task and then the end?

I am guessing that things will be similar to how Donald Trump did it back in The Apprentice 1. The final real task which ends with someone being fired takes place at the final 5. 1 person gets fired which leaves 4.

On the Apprentice 1, these 4 people then went through rigorous interviews with high ranking people within Trump's company. Trump met with these people abd based on their opinions, he fired 2 leaving the final 2 still standing.

The final 2 was then each given an event they needed to run (for example, in the first Apprentice the events were a Golf tournament and a Jessica Simpson concert) and given 3 previously fired contestants each to be their team they needed to manage.

After the task, the final 2 would go home and come back to the live finale where Trump would announce the winner.

Like I said, I have the impression that Martha will do something similar to this.

Gosh, I don't know why I love this show but it is my favorite show on the air right now ...:)

I felt all along that Jim was only being kept around for entertainment purposes as he added a lot of spice to a basically bland cast. However, as the weeks have gone on, I can see that his manic episodes lend themselves to some interesting ideas and I don't think he is quite the zero I originally believed.

That said, only Dawn (or is it Dawna?) and Bethany have any potential for a future with MSOM, imo. Ryan maybe but he is lacking a certain something. Forget Marcella, as Martha had just about had it with her last night also. And Jim is well........Jim....!!!!

Leslie was such a piece of work however, I am sure she is successful in whatever it is she does IRL but even my 15 yo knew that that was no way to set an elegant table. I couldn't believe what a disaster that display was. Leslie was great describing the concept too....NOT.....LOL....It reminded me of how great she did of describing an empty hotel room to the Westin people when they did the suite makeover, or was it Marriott? I forget now.

I also watch the Apprentice and find myself getting confused between the two casts and tasks because last nights task could have almost been Donalds. It didn't really fit into Martha's world and that is why I think they started it at Turkey Hill. Of course, it could also be because Martha was still under lock and key, I don't know.

Also Alexis is the anti Martha in a lot of ways, did anyone notice her converse sneakers last night?

We said the same thing. We couldn't imagine Martha Stewart approving of her daughter wearing a suit with tennis shoes.

When she was reading the letter and she said (whatever that guy's name is) and I give our best I thought 'what about Alexis?' I think leaving her out of it entirely would have been better than adding it in the PS

It depends on what she means by "Apprentice." If it is an almost immediate executive position like Trump, then none of them qualify. I believe Marcella has the most to offer MS. She has more of a passion for working at MS than the others, which goes a long way if I were hiring. She also brings a real skill that fits in with the company- cooking. She has enough skills that with a little bit of training and time, she would be a great manager. Ryan and Bethany are both empty suits in my opinion. So if I were MS, it would be Marcella or that other woman (forget her name.) She seems to be a leader, just not sure what she would really contribute to MS.

::yes:: I totally agree!

Okay--it's official! It is now obvious that her bracelet time or whatever concluded at some point during taping if not before.

Tonight's episode featured Martha on video with instructions...all the way from North Carolina. IIRC--upon looking up the details of her house arrest/parole or whatever---she had a very limited distance that she was permitted to travel for work or otherwise.

Oh my---wouldn't have guess the promos for the show about the drinking to be applying to someone other than who I expected it to.

They still have to fire someone first--but I'm thinking the drinking will do him in!

I'm talking about a certain someone on the safe team :)

Oh boy, Scrabble!

Look who is in the Final 4! Woohoo!

You mean Final 3. Jim...in the Final 3...who would've guessed that at the start of this thing?!?

I had NO idea Martha was firing 2 tonight!

WTG Jim in the Final 3!!! I don't think he'll survive the interviews though.

Whoda thunk that the finals have more original Matchstick than original Primarius members.

Off-topic note: RyMickey, I love both those flicks, but as a Muppet fanatic, I absolutely LOVE Muppet Christmas Carols, one of my favorite flicks! (We'RE Marley and Marley, OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH)

It was kind of sad to see Ryan crash and burn because he'd always seemed sort of solid to me. And Marcella, as much as she seems like a nice person, I have grown mighty tired of her slouch and looking like she is going to burst into tears at any moment. So I am kind of glad they are both gone.

I am another who is surprised about Jim lasting so long. The sad part is, he could probably be a genius if he would only get some therapy! LOL.

Doesn't everyone climb on their kitchen counter and screech like a monkey?
:rolleyes1

He seems to be very smart. I can't believe I fell for it that he'd be the lush of the evening. Even his teammates were concerned.

He seems very astute---a little weird--but very astute.

I completely agree, es about Marcella's slouching! Good Grief! Does she not know how to sit up straight yet?! Esp after Martha mentioned it last week!

I was at the taping for one of the final tasks (think fashion) and that was in May and Martha was there (I even got a quick handshake - not the audience my bosses got  ); I believe her bracelet came off the first week September.

And for your reward................ SCRABBLE with MARTHA. We couldn't stop laughing!!!
Marcella has dissapointed me, I've been in her corner. But she really can't stand up and make good decisions. She had the chance from the beginning to tell Ryan his idea was stupid, and convince him to come up with something more professional and targeted towards women.

It's really a sad state of affairs when you realize one of these three people will be an executive for MS.

OMG! We were laughing too! WOO HOO! A day of Srabble @@ No lunch either. And, Dawna being so "flustered" by playing Scrabble. Geez. Maybe Martha wanted to see how well they played together. :rotfl:

You could tell Martha really likes Marcella. That was the nicest letter she has written anyone. I think she was disappointed she didn't work out for her.
But really, she kept her as long as she possibly could.
