I can't stand it. They never listen to him, or they take what was his idea, shoot it down, and basically go with the same idea, just re-worded.

Watching Brent is bringing back all my years of school when I was the "odd man out". I dreaded group projects, because it was like I didn't exsist.

Granted, I am sure they see a lot more of his "quirkiness" they we do on camera, but the editing is very cruel. I wanted to cry for him tonight.

Don't be feeling too sorry for him. He brought a lot of these problems on himself.

He should have known that he was walking on thin ice. All he had to do is lay low for a while and go with the flow. He couldn't have been kicked off - the failure of the project would have been blamed on someone else. But no, he had to open his mouth and he didn't know when to leave well enough alone. He wasn't smart enough to figure this out.

This is a competition - those that cause the most problems in the beginning are destined for an early exit. It's too early to be a breakout star.

I agree, he should have kept his mouth shut. Saying the PM "stunk" was a bad move.

I did feel bad for him for most of the show. It was like a bunch of Junior High kids all trying to ignore the fat, ugly kid.

He should have kept his mouth shut in the Boardroom though. He got himself fired and probably wouldn't have been otherwise. The project didn't fail because of him. His attitude failed him.

Brent was smarter than they gave him credit for. However, he had absolutely no social skills. He turned the attention on himself when it surely would have landed elsewhere. He needed to go, I feel good about it. (did i sound like Donald Trump when i said that?) The rest of you grab your torch and head back to camp, you've got a lot to think about.

He's been trying to play the victim this whole season. The name calling he did when he was on camera alone reminded me of jr high school. I agree that if he listened more and talked less, he'd still be there. It seems that the lawyers always get fired early on this show. I think it's geared more towards those who are in marketing or have their own successful businesses. JMO

I just finished watching this tonight. I do feel sorry for him but after watching his exit interview he may have actually deserved it.

He needed to keep his mouth shut a bit more, just go with the flow. He would have stayed around a bit longer.

I enjoyed watching this episode and yes it was time to go for Brent.

I agreed with the Donald that the model for the father wasn't old enough looking -- should have been a 50 year old guy.

Also, did George in his first appearance look different??? like surgery or medicine side effects? well to me, he just didn't look right.

OMG! :lmao: :rotfl2:

When they approached him on the street and asked him how old he was he said "34"...the said "PERFECT!"

Yes, a 34 year old man would of been the perfect "past generation" of Grape Nuts, since I remember being a kid when they came out. But he was no way the father of the the model.

I was laughing so hard when they said 34 was perfect to be the dad! Good Lord! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've been feeling bad for Brent since the beginning, but he really dug his own grave last night.

What were they thinking picking a 34 yr old?? :rotfl:
I thought it would have been cute to have a grandfather passing the box of cereal to his grandchild.

I thought their idea was great, they just didn't implement it correctly.

The thing with Brent though, is everyone got a free pass this week. That project was wrong in so many ways, yet no accountability because of the Brent drama.

I am wondering, if he was an actor, put on the show to stir things up. Really. The same with Marc last season.

My husband actually thought the same thing. I think it just due to clever casting. I think the producers look for people that will be more confrontational and/or controversial to keep the show on edge.

Even with Brents poor social skills he would have survived another week if he would have sat quietly in the board room. Next week should be interesting, especially if the same team ends up back in the board room.

I think Brent shot HIMSELF in the foot with his complete lack of social skills. I can relate to being the odd man out, but you have to know HOW to attract not repel people in all aspects of life.

BTW, the guy they made the Dad was 44, not 34, still too young to play a Dad for a 7 sec impression. At first I was wondering about the person the other people picked but their ad was incredible!

I too felt bad for Brent - but he should have kept his mouth shut and he would have still been on the show. He did nothing wrong with the task because they gave him nothing to do.

Now onto the red haired lady (I cannot remember her name). She is just a cold, miserable person. She has no personality and will be gone soon I hope.

The one thing I really had to question about her last night was her comment about her being a multi-millionaire. If you are already so rich and successful - why do you want to go work for Donald Trump for $250,000/year?

I think next week he is going to shake the teams up and have them pick new teams. Gold Rush is doing well and can get along with each other (except for Lenny!) the other team is a disaster (as Trump puts it)!

I agree! I think her name might be Andrea and I think she is obnoxious. She is my least favourite for sure.

I also think Brent was treated badly, and he has been right from the very first episode. No wonder he started to get snarky. We never got to see him be a project manager or anything so who knows how he would have been.

Oh well, now that the team has gotten rid of their scapegoat I can't wait to see them all turn on each other. LOL.

I too think Brent got the shaft. He should have kept his mouth shut in the boardroom and they would have gotten rid of that useless redhead. The only saving grace here is that the rest of them will eventually be fired. No one on that team is capable enough to to be the next apprentice. I can't wait to watch them squirm in their chair before hearing those magic words!

I thought it was reprehensible they wouldn't let the guy do anything because of his looks. If Donald- nasty hair, unattractive dude- would have been on the team, he wouldn't have been given any responsibility, either. Oh well, the remaining people are losers. The only person who even seems smart enough to be the Apprentice on this show is the Middle Eastern guy, but he's awfully blunt and interesting. Trump seems to like more "Vanilla" contestants.

Wow, I guess I'm in the minority, but I hated Brent form the get-go and it had nothing to do with his weight. He was obnixious and self-righeous. He wasn't a team player and he was a whiner. I thought he was just a wreck the whole time and if he thinks people are against him because of his looks, he's totally wrong. It is his crappy ATTITUDE that was his downfall. I am SO glad he's gone!

labdogs42,
No, you're not the only one. His attitude was terrible and he consistently showed complete disrespect to his teammates. He was always late and verbally attacking the other contestants, saying such horrible, childish things. Even in the boardroom, he could never stop himself from saying these things. He ended up sounding like a petulant, whiny five-year old who didn't get his way. The next time he could just as easily turn and insult one of their clients. It was definitely time for him to go.
