~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

Yes, Caite was less annoying last night without Brandy and Carol around to complain about. :rotfl:

The Sicily comment was hilarious, as was Cord (finally figured out which cowboy was which!) when he asked Jet what tranquil meant, then whistled and said "I'm gonna have to write that down." :lmao:

And the brothers wanting to know what kind of special powers the cowboys had that made it possible to do anything with their hands. I know he frustrated, but I thought it was funny.
That was funny, but true. Same with their feet. Never played soccer before? No problem! Never made noodles before? Piece of cake! They seem to have such an easy time of all the tasks, and certainly deserve to win.

I want the detectives to be eliminated next. I was really surprised of how the brothers were acting in the cab in the preview . But I just chalk it up to pressure and 1 million dollars on the line. I'm forgiving like that.
Pressure, and editing. ;) There have been lots of previews of incidents made to look much worse than they seem on the episode. Of course, episodes are highly edited to create strong feelings and controversy, too.

I found comments on here so interesting. I live in the middle of farm, ranch and cowboy country. Most (not all) comments are made from more urban areas.

Cowboys (ranchers) are very self sufficient. I am not the least bit surprised to see their calm, cool, easy going manner come through. These two guys are just the best. I wish my girls would bring home just one boyfriend that had their work ethic, morals and good natured humor. Their grandfather was from a town not far from mine and they have they whole area rooting for them. I think we can all take a lesson here.

I sure hope the good guys finish big. You guys are the BEST (win or lose).

Watching them make those noodles was like watching my Sicilian great grandma when I was a kid. Speaking of which Brent is just as much of a moron as his partner. "I Feel Like I'm in, like, Sicily" The canals of the 'Venice of China' reminded him of the place in Italy furthest away from Venice? I'm starting to wonder which of those two is the dumb one.

I have seen cab breakdowns but that one they previewed was pretty bad. I can't really blame them since it is a shot at the final 3 on the line but wow. I still like the brothers and wouldn't mind if they, the cops, or the cowboys win but I do hope the cowboys win. They are lucky that the one leg they really screwed up (at least twice) was non-elimination.

I was very sad to see that Ping Ping died, but DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THAT CIGARETTE IN RELATION TO HIM? That cracked me up!

i chocked when i saw it - there was somethign that look just sooooo wrong - maybe because he looked like a kid i dont know.

i was sad to see he had died - anyone know how old he was?

I just did a search on him and he was 21 when he died on March 13. So sad that he was so young.

dawn

wow - i actually thought he was older - i've seen him in some shows about his condition and thought it was longer ago then it must have been

makes it even sadder then

I was surprised to hear Jett say he was married and had a 17 month old, and Cord said, he just started dating someone and left, and he said, it isn't a good way to start out a relationship, when you have to say, "See Ya". I had to ask my dh what they said in the end about winning 3 times. Did Cord say, 3 trips around the world, and he wasn't going to take it with him? but someone else? It sort of surprised me, because it looks like they get a long great.

Cord said he just got engaged before he left for the show. I think they want to take there wife/girlfriends on a romantic trip not each other.

ohhhh it's ok - they had just gotten engaged and the each won a trip for two so my guess is they cord will take his g/f soon to be wife and jett will take his wife.

heck i'd want some time away from my partner after all that too LOL

I don't live in farm country but I did grow up in Texas and I also wish my DD could find a decent guy like these! Around here girls can't even get a guy friend to escort them to the multiple functions they need to attend. I'd die for DD to bring home a guy that would shake DH's hand, look me in the eye and carry on a conversation with us.

Long ago, on this thread, I posted how Cord was the PBR rider most like to be voted Miss Congeniality. Now you all know what I was referred to. I don't know anything about Jet, he must ride in the PRCA instead of the PBR. For any of you guys that have never watched PBR bullriding, try to catch it sometime, you might LOVE it!:thumbsup2

I'll be at the PBR at the Mesquite Rodeo in September.

Elimination Station shows everyone leaving for the End City. They won't know till they get there where it is. It's interesting to hear where they would like it to be.

I wonder if he had progeria?

If you look at the recaps on CBS, they have won 3 trips with it being just 1 ttrip for 2 people, not each of them winning a trip for 2. The only time each of them won anything was for the 2nd leg, which was the sail boats.

I looked at the other leg winners as well and all of them state, on the ones with trips, that they won a trip for two to X destination. All the others prizes, Steve and Allies win -they each got 7 grand, 2 of the Cops wins were each 5 grand and each a 55" TV, Dan and Jordan last week each got motorbikes.

With the trips the cowboys won - Patagonia, Maui and Alaska - I can easily see Jet letting Cord and his bride pick which ever one they want to use as a honeymoom and giving the 3rd one to their parents or another sibling to enjoy.

Cords rider info from the PBR website. After reading about his injury in 2004, makes me that much more of a fan of his and Jet's.
Frankly, I have the completely opposite reaction! What kind of a moron would continue the same dangerous "career" after being kicked in the head so badly that he had to be put in a medically induced coma for his brain to heal?

I was glad the detectives are still in it. I am getting used to him saying, "yeah baby, you can do it baby, come on baby, go baby."

Oh and robinb-I keep seeing your beautiful dd's photo in your sig and I could not figure out who she reminds me of. Well, I just figured out that she reminds me of Kate (Evangaline Lilly) from Lost!

A traumatic brain injury is a tragic accident and recovery long but if your passion is bull riding, I can see his determination to do again what he loves.

What's the saying about pursuing a career, "Do what you love and you will always love what you do"

I have no desire to watch a rodeo but if it what he does and he loves it why not continue? Race car drivers, skiers, and many other dangerous sports have people get injured and come back.

Cops who get shot or firemen who have accidents continue their dangerous careers. Many soldiers get injured and go back into the field.

If it is what you do it is what you do.
