The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

Yeah, it is heavy, but at least it was a much shorter distance to go

Right - it was a shorter distance. And they didn't have to carry the 175 pounds. They were to put it on a cart and bicycle it to the next location. I guess I have so much pent up energy from watching American Idol and Amazing Race, I figure I could blast through the coal smashing. ;)

Gosh, I'm exhausted from watching the race I can only imagine how tired they must be. I did notice that Amber picked up that the last clue did not say Pit Stop only meet Phil at the Matt.

So it looks like Romber and Ron and Kelley were working together through this episode to move away from the rest of the pack.

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

TO BE CONTINUED?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Rats

Tomorrow night is Idol. Thursday night is Survivor. And you? :)
::yes:: Yep, me too...nice to meet yet another "reality TV" addict...but you left off The Apprentice...certainly your Thur night viewing doesn't end with Survivor :confused3 :p

I think Tuesday & Thursday nights both have the fastest hours of the week between AR & Survivor! I swear it seems like they last 15 minutes!!!

It does seem like only 15 minutes-Love the way Rob and Amber are playing-no bickering-did you see that Ron and Kelly were starting towards the end to lose it-it looked sooo hot!!! I can't believe they left us like that :earseek:

A lot of people seem to think Kelly is the difficult one in the Ron/Kelly relationship, but he pushes her buttons! Did you notice that comment he made just before she went in to search the metal boxes? The clue said the person had to have patience and made some comment like that surely wasn't her but she could do it anyway.

Wonder if Lynn & Alex will be nicer to Rob & Amber since they didn't yield them. Probably not.

Geety and StaceyA...

I also watch the same shows....my DVR is busy during Tues-Thurs!!

Well, how stupid is Ron. You DON'T turn around and look at Rob with a look on your face that ask "Should I use the YIELD?". :confused3

OF COURSE Rob is going to tell you not to use it! 'Specially if the YEILD can be used on them!

And G from G/M couple, was just getting on my last nerve tonight. She just wanted to give up so bad at the silver box place.

And what was the deal with Kelly, thinking that Amber was really going help her find the clue at the silver box place. Did I hear her right! Something like..."If you find one, let me know. And if I find one I will let you know." So what, if Amber found hers fist, (which she did) then she was going to have to stay and still help Kelly find hers? I could tell that, that was when Kelly started to get upset about every little thing. I guess since Amber didn't stick around to help, she took it out on Ron. I guess she though that since R/A helped them with the plane tickets that they were going to walk hand and hand to the pit stop. :confused3

If it had been me, I would have done the sold challange. Because what had happened to M/G is what I thought would happen to all the couples. They would run into some one who wanted the tea, but didn't have a card to give back. That guy looked really put out that he didn't get any free tea.

I wonder if they will still show everyone getting to the mat. They only showed R/A, no one else. I can just see the looks on M/G's faces now. But just from the look on R/A's faces, they look really tired, and really wanted this to be the end.

But in the reviews for next week, it looks like they let them rest at that building. Because we saw M/G on the roof enjoying the party in the streets below, and it was night fall. So maybe they got to rest up just a little before moving on. But if that is true then I think that next weeks show should be a elem round. Just a guess.

Now I am trying to remeber from the first show...didn't Phil say that their would be 4 non-elem rounds? If that is so...and next week is not a non-elem round, how are they going to work that out? I can't believe that we have had only one non-elem round. If he did say 4, then we have three left. I just think it's weird that we have that many, and we are this far along in the race.

But I bet those camels are going to really get under everyones skin next week. Should be fun to watch. Even looks like Rob is going to get real close to losing his top. But at G says, "Be nice to the camels!"

Stacey: Myhusband comments that I have 3 VCRs going at any time and am still watching a 4th show. the worst thing is that I just got into watching Law and Order so that takes up so much more time - ecspecially since on USA its basically on all night on friday and saturdays.

I believe there are 3 non eliminations and meridith/gretchen have got to go - her voice was going through me like a nail on a chalkboard last night. Next week he is yelling at her.

LOL sounds like my house!
Since I got my DVR (Tivo) I haven't had too much of a problem except it can only record two things at once and whatever you are watching it is constantly recording, so if I have two shows recording it will automatically turn to that channel so on Thursday nights when there is a new Joey on and Survivor im in trouble! Good thing we have another TV in the house...LOL

One time I went on a business trip and I had both VCRs in the house going and I actually had things taping at my mom's house....now that is pretty bad!

I'm looking ahead at my calendar. When is the final show? I know I'll be out next Tuesday - and will try to remember to set the VCR. I think the week after that I'm fine, so I hope we have another two weeks. If tonight had been an elim round, that would leave four couples. With still five, there's at least two weeks left, right?

Okay I admit I'm a TV addict. Do they have AA groups for this?

When we go away on vacation I actually sit down with the TV guide and determine what shows I want to tape the hours the days etc. Then I go try to coordinate the show between the 3 vcr's. I buy the 8 hour tapes to get the maximum amt of taping time. Then I have to determine if I dont have enough tape what shows are really not that important and can do without. The last time I went away it was a little over 1 week and I had 24 hours of taping to do.

As I said I'm addicted. G-d forbid my husband wants a show taped - hes so out of luck and the bad thing is he only asks for probably 1 show to be taped - Enterprise. Okay I gave in and taped his show......

Ok get this one....I have 50 hours on my DVR and sometimes it is maxed out...LOL

You can set a "season pass" so it remembers to tape the same shows each week, and sometimes my DH will mention he would like to set something...I don't remind him about it...LOL
I think he taped one show and after a month being on the DVR he didn't watch it and it was taking up room so I erased it... :rotfl:

My husband is a science fiction tv watcher. On fridays he had 4 hours of shows so I taped them every week for him - friday is a slow night for me only 1 or 2 shows. He has 2-8 hour tapes still sitting to be watched(I dont tape for him anymore) for weeks now. I just cant give in and erase the tapes but its getting to that point. He doesnt even watch the shows on friday when their on because hes so busy with his job. I dont think he would even miss if I taped over them...

At least he doesnt get mad that i tape so much-its actually a joke between us. I have a friend whos live in boyfriend is so controlling that he gets upset about her taping - why have the vcrs if you dont use them....

if it were a tape I Probably (maybe ;) ) wouldn't have taped over them, but since his show was taking up room on my DVR I just had to let it go...LOL
It was one of those history channel shows that is on a million times, I think he caught it....LOL

Saturday and Sunday are my days to catch up with the weeks worth of shows I have taped....I even watch the reality shows on MTV....real world, the inferno...it is bad!

Oh man, Gretchen annoyed the heck out of me in last night's episode! She spent so much time whining and crying about those boxes-- wandering around aimlessly-- she could have found the thing in no time if she had just focused! Argh. I wish it had been an elimination so the two of them would be OUT!

Excuse me, but should we who want to discuss the Amazing Race start a new AR thread, or would all you who are talking about DVR's, VCR's and how shows tape like to move it to it's own thread?

I hate to be rude, but one or two comments about TIVO's messing up is fine, but the conversation has been ongoing, and even after we got it back OP, some people are still bringing it up. I say it is time to start your own thread. IMO.
Thank you. :flower:

::yes:: She was making me crazy
