The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

No, there is one more yeild. Phil said so twice during last nights show that there are *3* yeilds this time. (I, too, though this would be the last one so I was listening carefully.)

Ok - did ANYONE just bust out laughing after Alex found the clue at the Steel Box place and did that little dance? Too freakin' funny.
Couldn't agree more...too funny! ::yes:: :rotfl2:

And what was the deal with Kelly, thinking that Amber was really going help her find the clue at the silver box place. Did I hear her right! Something like..."If you find one, let me know. And if I find one I will let you know." So what, if Amber found hers fist, (which she did) then she was going to have to stay and still help Kelly find hers? I could tell that, that was when Kelly started to get upset about every little thing. I guess since Amber didn't stick around to help, she took it out on Ron. I guess she though that since R/A helped them with the plane tickets that they were going to walk hand and hand to the pit stop. :confused3

I think Kelly thought all the clues might be together in one box. When Amber found hers, she said "I found it" & Kelly said "are they all in there or just one". At least that's how I remember it, I'll be watching it again tonight with DH as he missed it.

Go Rob & Amber!

Oh, I LOVE my DVR too! :rotfl:

My mistake, I thought there was 2, because of last season.
I know you don't like getting off the subject, but I couldn't help but notice your last tag...did you see the movie with Rick Springfield as the rich French guy who falls in love with the twin who is the art major, not the model...it was recently on Lifetime or We..hadn't thought of him in a while but he was WAY hot in that one! :lovestruc

....Ok, back to talking about the AMAZING RACE! :teeth:

I think it probably was a good idea for Ron and Kelly to not yield Romber. They should certainly do everything possible to put themselves in position to yield Romber at the next "Yield".

Ummmm, at least Lynn and Alex didn't say anything racially offensive last night. Good job, guys.

Gretchen and Meredith -I had to restrain my self from screaming at the TV screen for her to JUST OPEN THE BOXES!

Uchenna and Joyce - Were they in last night's epi?

I agree, I don't think Kelly expected Amber to help her find the clue. I think she did think they would all be in one box, and if she found it she would yell, and if Amber found it she wanted Amber to yell. Amber held up her end of the argreement. She yelled when she found the clue. But the clues were not together, so I don't think Kelly would of expected Amber to hang with her until she found it. Who would?

;) Rick = :lovestruc

Ok, another thing I noticed, Joyce was the only one to keep on her head covering after the task. I respected that. Also, anyone notice that even though Rob had on a baseball hat, he still covered his head with the cultural head piece? Say what you want about Rob, but he is extremely considerate of other cultures.

While it wasn't necessary for the guys to cover their heads if they were wearing a baseball cap, I thought it was very respectful of those that did put one on. It showed a cultural awareness.

Still cheering for Rob and Amber here!

That is correct.

Loved last night's episode! You could tell by everyone saying how they were exhausted & ready for the pit stop and by Amber catching the different wording on the clue that it was going to be non-elim. I hope they show the rest of the teams' reactions to finding out they're not done w/ the leg next week.

Gretchen - OMG, just shut up, stop asking for hugs & look for the darn clue!!!

I'm wondering if the boyfriends will be hit with some kind of penalty. The one had the baseball cap on...the other had nothing and didn't put anything on either. Everyone else either put on the scarf or had a baseball cap. Rob did both.

Excuse me.....for sure lets get back to the Amazing Race....

Don't apologize folks - I just scrolled past those posts - didn't even take me a second to do so.

I have been known to hijack more than a thread or two in my day..... :smooth:

And - I think Kelly thought that the clues would all be in one box and asked Amber to let her know if that was indeed the case.

Gretchen has ZERO patience for that task....

When Amber was the only one to notice the final clue was worded differently I thought that's one reason Rob & Amber are doing so well. They read their clues carefully and don't make dumb mistakes! If anyone else noticed the clue being worded differently they didn't show it.

I agree. I don't see where Ron and Kelly would have gained a great advantage to yielding anyone. I would be very careful about yielding because it could come back around. At this point I would just be concentrating on staying at the top. If I was at the back of the pack and knew I had some close competition, I would yield. I don't remember who was second to last...Joyce and Uchenna?...they had to know Gretchen and Meredith weren't a real threat at that point. That yield might be needed much more later.

Yeah, but I loved them telling Gretchen and Meredith they were helping them because they wanted them to be in the finals with them. Who wouldn't :rotfl2: ? Meredith's OK, but poor Gretchen. She just can't get it together.

Can you yield someone that is in front of you? or only if they are behind you?
If you can't then being at the back of the pack you really wouldn't be able to yield anyone.

Lynn had his cap on - he asked and was told it was fine if they wore just the hat.

Alex DID have a scarf...I just think it might have fallen down while he was running around looking for the clue.

I guess I should have said "towards the back of the pack"

I was referring to, just for an example, second to last yielding last so second to last has more time to get to the pit stop.

It really wasn't your wording, I actually was talking about this with my DH and we were wondering it last night if you are last if you can yield someone ahead of you...that would make it interesting if they had to stop wherever they were and wait.

I’m excited to see the no pit stop twist at the beginning of the next episode! All the teams look so tired—I wonder how they will handle it.

I also wonder if Lynn and Alex will receive a penalty for the scarf falling off of his head. I agree that it was nice of Rob to wear the scarf even though he had on a baseball cap.

Gretchen was driving me crazy whining about the boxes instead of searching for them! Good grief, she could’ve found it much more quickly if she just didn’t wander around aimlessly. I think they’ve just had it. I don’t think they have the stamina to keep going any more. It is a testament to the strength of their marriage that Meredith didn’t get mad at her and kept cheering her on when he would’ve had a right to be frustrated about it.

The tea task was interesting. I thought it was funny how many people tried to steal someone else’s tea. :teeth:

I still enjoy watching Ron and Kelly though I know many people can’t stand them. They just aren’t right for each other. I think it was smart to team up with Romber instead of joining everyone else in hating them. The comment they made about keeping your enemies close was smart. I couldn’t believe they didn’t yield Rob and Amber either, though it might be smart to save it until later on in the race.
