The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

Soo, if rob and amber don't win, which i don't think will happen, i hope joyce and uchenna win.

this was a pretty boring episode to watch for me. i enjoy watching rob and amber, and this was more about the other teams.

goes to show that people like me won't watch this show after rob and amber are gone!! :rotfl:

Gretchen has on Lime Green DIS socks!!! You go girl!!!

Do they each have to do six tasks as they did the last race? I've forgotten.

Thanks.

ETA: Ohh now I get it! Yes, each person can do no more than 6 tasks in the race.

I don't recall Phil mentioning it, but I would assume that rule would still be in place.

I thought this was a good episode. I was so glad that J/U and G/M were able to find an earlier flight. I thought it was odd, though, that the others checked with two other carriers and never found the early flight.

I couldn't believe that J/U were only 2 mintues ahead of the others at the beginning. It must have really taken them a long time to find the FF. I'm so glad that she has a great attitude about it though. I still think she looks great.

I am a huge Rob and Amber fan and even i was laughing at Rob tonight. Perhaps this will be a blessing in disguise and he will not be so bold in thr future. He is definately the reason the other teams found an earlier flight. :earboy2:
Rob is the cause of his own grief here. Playing mind games with your opponents can backfire on you.

I was wondering the same thing. I remember during the last race, when there was a roadblock, and Phil was explaining it, he would say a person can only perform 6 task in the race. I don't recall him saying that during this race at all. I wonder if the rules were changed?

I thought it was a good rule. I haven't been keeping track this time (I did last race). Maybe that's why Gretchen did the climbing? Has Amber done anything physical? She raced the camel right?

I thought it was a good night and thought it was the end of the road for TTTSNBN. I've said things about other people privately to my husband but I would not call someone stupid and make fun of one's age when I knew it was public tv.

Thought M/G were very very lucky this week. It's a good thing they had a flight with U/J.

I have heard Phil say that each team member can perform no more than 6 tasks. You do have to admire G & M for getting this far. She does get on the nerves though.

Could you believe Ron's comment about his experience as a POW? That he went thru h*ll, was torturted, and nearly died. I think I'd rather die right up front than be in that situation. I can't imagine anything worse than being caught behind enemy lines in a barbaric country.

I LOVED Rob's comments and then he had to find out he had to eat those words!!! And I am sure, they won't make the same mistake twice.

U & J had great team work as usual.

Can't wait for the bus driving next week. It should be funny.

I agree the highlights from next week look good-And I do remember Phil mentioning early on that each person could only do six road blocks each-Wonder how Kelly's going to handle being without $$, she'll probably be in such a good mood-poor Ron :guilty:

Some one earlier in this thread asked about Ron and Kelly relationship. They are no longer together. She is currently dating a minister from her church. I read way to many reality tv show websites so know alot of the gossip. I guess they just split up the $20,000 between them.

Rob did have to eat his words tonight. I do wonder why after going to several other travel agents they could not get the same flight.

I have officially declared Meredith and Gretchen as the AR worst racers. They only made the early flight because U/J got the flight for them. They can never find the clues, always pick the harder detours, go the wrong way constantly and looks like next week U/J have to help them at a roadblock. No way does Rob have all the luck, it is only pure luck that this team has made it this far. It is certainly not on their racing ability.

Today there was a website listed that had a blog from Meredith. He had information from the episodes that have been shown. The interesting part is that the website no longer has the link to the blog tonight. According to the blog Meredith acutally had a hairline fracture of his foot from where the elephant wheel ran over his foot. He continued racing and only after the race had it xrayed and found out the foot was broken but nearly healed.

I really do need to get a life other than reality TV.

On one of the CBS AR clips, Kelly and Amber actually discuss the roadblock that they have done and they need to do more of them.

I am trying to find out what the number of roadblock reach has performed and will post it.

I know that Ron and Kelly have to start with no money...but what are the rules about getting money?

If they were smart, they would email someone at home and ask them to wire them some money Western Union the next morning, just after they started the race. :)

Because you can bet that Rob and Amber won't give them any, and Uchenna/Joyce and Meredith/Gretchen will shy away due to their recent alliance with Romber.

I was SO hoping tonight was an elimination round...

Sure Uchena made the call, but M&G are the ones who opened the can of worms by telling them the "info" from Rob. If they weren't aligned with U&J, they could have done it on their own. I say good for them!

I dunno... there might be too many people still under the table recovering from the "take a drink every time Lynn and Alex say Rob or Amber"..lol

People keep commenting on this and it kind of upsets me. They are 20-40 years older than the people on the other teams. It's a lot harder for them. Yes, her voice can get annoying, but I commend them so much for what they have been able to do and still be respectful to each other. I'll take the whining over calling people stupid and saying that someone chose to be a POW any day :flower:

MTE!!!!
I really like M&G. I would be whining worse than they are LOL!

I just got an email from the Learning Annex in NYC that the Philiminator will be doing some sort of motivational workshop in a couple of weeks. I got a coupon for it for $9.99. Kind of tempted to go, but not sure I willa ctualy be motivated to go into the city. hehe.

"I'm so over India" - Rob

omg...I'm so over HIM...

I thought it was PRICELESS when Rob/Amber realized they were in THIRD not FIRST place. Too funny.

But I found the editing weird (unless I fell asleep for 5 mintues)...I never saw Rob/Amber searching for their gnome/that whole section of clues? (I know our local news cut in quickly about a local fire...maybe I missed it?)

Ron/Kelly - I thought they picked the harder of the 2 detours - but they seemed to finish it PDQ...good for them at least. That place was really cool.

Yeah, I'm sorry - I give Gretchen credit for what she's done...and I was mighty impressed that she climbed up that ladder/repeled...but for the love of shoes - shut up! (both my DH AND our Dog were getting ticked at me for yelling at the TV. heheh)

I cannot believe Uchenna and Joyce only had a 2 minute lead starting off this leg...they must have gotten really lost. I think that's their downfall...they played a VERY clean race on this leg...however sometimes, they just get lost...if the pit stop was somewhere different from the last roadblock, I bet they wouldn't have come in first. I am still rooting for them...

Whoo-Hoo! I am so glad G & M didn't lose all their stuff in non-elem. I was literally jumping up and down :Pinkbounc watching her climb the rope ladder and knowing TTWSNBN was going to show up any second!!! Talk about exciting.

And can you believe how close they all arrived on the last leg. Joyce shaved her head for a "2" minute lead. Yikes :scared1:

If she didn't shave her head, it would have been elimination.
