I didn't hear Phil tell them that they won anything, I even commented to my DH that it would stink for them if they never get first again and didn't even get anything for it when most of the other teams did.

I didn't hear him say anything either. I thought that a prize was given all the time when you came in first. Maybe I am wrong?

They could of won a prize, but because of time restraints and editing, the viewers did not hear it. They did take a long time gloating about beating Rob and Amber on the mat. The prodeucer's probably decided to show that for drama, than to show them winning a trip.

I looked at the recap on AR website and didn't find anything mentioned about the a trip or prize for finishing first in this leg of the race. American Airlines had sponsored the the trips before since AA is no longer affiliated with AR maybe there won't be a prize on each leg.

I check alot of AR recaps and if I find anything I will post it.

I was not thrilled when I heard Romber were going to be on, but now I am rooting for them. Rob has shown a lot of smarts, quick thinking on his feet. He is not the first to steal a taxi, but that's what you need to do to get ahead in this game. It's not cheating, there is nothing in the rules about taking another contestants taxi. I thought it was brilliant how he thought out the penalty and got others do it after them.

As for Alex and Lynn, their obsession with Romber will cost them the race. They should be more worried about where and what they are doing. I won't be sorry if they go next.

On the earlier races, the trip-winners were few and far between. It's only been on the last couple of races where the first team to the mat always wins something. My thought was that they were going back to the old format.

I LOVED Rob and Amber last night. Rob just cracks me up. He's pretty sharp, too. I'm definitely rooting for them now.

I couldn't believe it when the 2 girls drove 2 1/2 hours out of the way last night. Also, did anyone else notice that when they were trying to create "drama" in the last few minutes, the mom/son team had daylight outside their car windows and the girl/girl team had near darkness outside their car windows?! I told DH that it was a no-brainer that the mom/son made it.

The mom/son team is growing on me, and the older woman (Gretchen?) is really starting to annoy me. The mom and son seem more like friends than mom/son, and I think that that's nice to see actually.

Also, it bugged me the way that the POW was talking about how he was not sure if he wanted to marry the beauty queen because he wanted to do other things than get married and have kids right now. I hope that she sees the writing on the wall rather than pining away for this guy...to use the over-used phrase of the moment, it seems to me that he's just not that into her.

It's not mentioned alot but Ron (former POW) is divorced and has a child that is only a few years old. My DD#1 thinks he is too cute, we met him at a book signing with Oliver North, I still remember the night him and Chief Williams returned here to Fort Hood - major tear jerker!

I am in the minority here but I think Rob is a big time jerk. I would be ashamed if I knew he came from around me. He is very irratating, a cheat and just generally a jerk. I for one will be glad when he is gone.

This has got to be one of the best seasons of AR. I LOVE this show all the time but IMHO Romber is making this season so much better. I don't ever recall any previous teams playing this as a game with as much strategy. I think it will get them pretty far but it may lead Rob to pick some riskier detours in the future and one of them could backfire on him but until then I am just going to enjoy.

I was so sick of the "boyfriends" going on and on about Romber. This is an individual team game and blabbing about trying to get rid of another team is not productive. You can't vote them out. Play your own game and don't worry so much about where one team is - especially at this point in the game. If the boyfriends do get to the end of the game with Romber they stand to underestimate other teams if they stay so obsessed with Romber.

I am very happy with this season's casting. There does not seem to be so much screaming this season. Can you imagine some of the past teams during that meat eating challenge?

I am right there with you. Unfortunately, my DVR didn't record last night and I missed seeing them beat. Then again, I missed people barfing so it all evened out!

Personally, I think the way the boyfriends are carrying on about Rob & Amber is just plain ridiculous and very unsportsmanlike. I'm glad they weren't told by Phil that they won a trip when they came in first. Serves them right.

I think I've said it before, but I think Rob and Amber are bringing a lot of fun to this competition. He's not breaking any rules, and if others are so quick to "do" what he suggests, it's their own fault. It's a game. The last man/woman standing takes home the money.

I can understand why the other teams might be down on Romber. Think about it.... they went through the application process, beat out thousands of other couples, finally get their moment to shine on national TV.... then Romber shows up. Hand picked by the producers and with a national fan base already in place. I'll bet that every other team feels as if they are playing second fiddle to Romber.

That being said, my respect for Rob shot way up last night after he took the penatly rather than eat the meat. What's mind boggling is that after seeing him in operation on two seasons of Survivor, people still play right into his hands. If he plays them this way the whole game, and wins, they deserve to lose just as much as he deserves the victory.

Didn't like Rob and Amber on either of their Survivors, and wish they weren't on my Fav reality show either. I understand they will bring in new AR fans and boost the ratings, but I really feel I'm watching the "let's see who can beat Rob and Amber show" or "what will Rob do this week" show.

Last night I found myself thinking, as much as I enjoy watching AR, I cannot wait until this season is over. I'll say it again - they've had their 15 minutes. To me, a loyal fan of AR, they are too much of a distraction as to why I liked the show in the first place. Case in point the eating challenge. Brilliant strategy on Rob's part, but I don't think it should be that easy to exit from a challenge. They should have waited 4 hours after the very last couple came. That to me would be a penalty.

As far as the boyfriends carrying on about Rob and Amber - I think it is the editing. Again, it's all about Rob and Amber, so let's make a team look bad by showing their comments all the time. I bet the others say just as much, but it's not shown. I think Phil is even treating Rob and Amber differently. Look at his reactions each time they make it to the pit stop.

If they still want to be on TV, they should start their own "Jessica Simpson and husband (can't remember his name)" show and those who want to watch them every week can do so.

Sorry for the vent, I but love AR the way it used to be.......getting to know the contestants as we go along.
